We made a reservation for our anniversary. We had frequented Bistro often in the past, years ago when it was really committed to excellence. In the years of late they sort of dumbed down their menu a bit, most likely due to the economy. I thought i would try again. When we arrived the host was very cordial, we were seated promptly, and the restaurant was about 1/3 full. Our server came over shortly thereafter and took our drink order. She delivered the drinks shortly thereafter and we ordered a salad and appetizer. She asked if we wanted bread and we said yes. After about 10 minutes we still had not seen her or received our bread. I watched as she met with what seemed to be a friend (because they hugged), or aquaintance. she spoke with them for about 3 minutes or so, all the while no bread, no salad, no app. Finally a guy wearing a weathered Polo collared T shirt and blue jeans brought out our salad and app. No pepper on table (they are supposed to ask if you want fresh pepper), still no bread. I waiting about 5 minutes to see if server would check back and was gonna ask about pepper. Drinks empty at this point. Finally I got frustrated and went inside to find who was in charge. The blue jean guy was in charge. I explained what had happened, and he replied, "we sort of had a unusual rush" and are a little behind, mind you restaurant still 1/3 full and just prior three servers handling linens inside a almost empty dining room. He said he would be right over with bread and pepper. About three to four minutes later he came over. The sense of urgency for us ended with the host who was more engaged than all the rest. Then the server finally came over and said she was "triple seated" which was her excuse. She forgot to mention conversation with her friend...We at that point decided to eat elsewhere as we were convinced that it would not get better. The app was fine, salad was not, aged romaine and lacked dressing. This was to be a special evening and ended up being so at Cru. The difference in the staffs was so evident immediately. All in restaurant were engaged in guest service. I looked back at past money spent as Bistro because we have Quicken and since 2002 through 2007 we spent $24000 with them. I only point this out because I wanted to provide insight into our experience with the restaurant and understanding of what they delivered. In the end we would have received better service at any franchised establishment. At their price point it is unacceptable service.

This is my second visit at Bistro and not much better than my first. My first visit I was overcharged and reimbursed through a gift card. Therefore I decided to use my gift card today. My husband ordered the French dip with a substitute of Cajun truffle fries- with no mention that this would be an up charge. I ordered the salmon BLT special and was told it was 16 by the bar tender but really charged 18. Then my husband asked for a small side of veggies for my daughter. He brought out a huge order of veggies that cost 5$!!! That seems ridiculous to me especially because I asked for a small order for my daughter NOT myself. Then on my review at the end of my bill I noted that the veggies were overpriced and he came back very rudely and sarcastically said "I am sorry it was very expensive". One, very embarrassing and two very rude especially his tone. It seems like the waiters there are trying to find anyway to up charge you and make more money on their bill. He is lucky I am a fair tipper because if I wasnt he wouldve received less than 15% after his rude comment. Which originally I was very happy with his service but it truly all ended on a sour note. Basically overpriced food that isnt even that great, I would much rather enjoy a meal at Slates. On a positive note the bistro salad with shrimp I had the first time I was there was very delicious.

Atmosphere was nice. There were six of us for lunch on Saturday. Four of us ordered the Quiche with field greens and that is actually what they were. The smallest piece of Quiche we have ever seen, but a plate full of greens with NO dressing. This was $$. and very disappointing. Waiter never came back to see if we wanted any dressing on them till he picked our plates up and noticed how many were left. To late by then.. Wont plan on going back there. One person ordered bread pudding to take home. She said it felt cold when they gave it to her. They had added ice cream. She didnt notice a the time to check to see why it was. By the time she got home it was a soggy mess, into the trash. Shouldnt they have asked if she wanted the ice cream to go!!!!! No they didnt and she wasnt aware that it even came with it.

I took my mother to a late lunch here on 4/2/15 and had the worst experience. I do not recommend anyone come to this place. The waitress, Rebecca, got my order wrong, was off and on in her service and then my cellphone was stolen from next to me. When I went to ask for help in finding the cellphone, the Assistant Manager, Brent, told me to look for it on Find My Iphone. We had to ask for the managers contact information in order to raise this as an issue. Due to the location, price of the meal I did expect better service and support and was heartily disappointed. Makes me wonder if they have had other theft and are choosing not to address it.

i am kinda offended by a promo that i used this evening at bistro 41. i received a promo from bayfront bistro to be used at bistro 41. when my check came the server told us that he added a 20% gratuity to our bill. he then gave us a promo to be used at bayfront bistro and the addition of this prom wasnt calculated properly. when i got home i tried to find the "fine print" on this promo regarding a 20% tip and there was no mention of a required tip at all. i object to cruise lines bar tabs adding 18% and this restaurant was even worse! i wasnt that happy with the service or the food to begin with. i certainly wont be back to bistro 41.

I was there for the first time on 9/15/16 to celebrate my birthday, it was the most wonderful experience. The food was incredible, the service the very best. Chef Oscar came out to greet us and made me a special dessert that was to die for. Everything from start to finish was just excellent. Presentation and taste were superb. Hostess, waiter Chris and Chef, thank you for such great service. Will definitely come back again!!!!

My wife and I celebrated Mothers Day here. She ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop ala Vodka. The food was excellent and well presented. Id go back here again. Im not giving 5 stars because I thought the two of the waiters were not at the level one would expect for a restaurant in this class. They complained to everyone about being "slammed" or how long they were working.
