First of all had a 7:15 RSVP for a booth that was requested. Yes I understand after eating we seat around and talk and so forth. We waited an hour for a booth and once seated the waitress Susanne( if not mistaken) was like rushing us to order, we wasnt seated 2 minutes before she asked the question. We told her us to give us a minute to look over the menu, she returned 5 mins later and asked was we ready to order. My husband order a Long Island ice tea and asked her for top shelf and are they made good cause some bartenders dont really know how to make them and she stated oh they know what they are doing at the bar, she then asked me I said I didnt want nothing to drink. She returned with his drink and I ordered a lobster and crab cake, she looked at me and said what about it and I stated to her can I order one. She left to put in the order.. another couple was suppose to meet us there but was involved in a car accident, so we explained the other couple will not be able to make it, ok so are they still coming she asked after awhile. We finally order the food and it was excellent, only thing my husband wanted medium well and when he cut the steak it was well done. The guy that brought the steak looked at it and said yes it well done so he took it back. She came to the table and said that the guy did not know what he was talking about cause it was what my husband asked for, no sorry or apologizing . The head cook I guess came out with another steak and made sure it was to his liking before he left, he apologized for the first one...like I said the food was good but the waitress was awful.. I dont know if she was having a bad day or what.. I had to look at her a few times crazy cause the way she was talking to us like we was kids of something.. I dont think I will return and would not recommend it to anyone else....If dealing with the public is apart of your job you have to keep your personal feeling or problems away from your job....

To start, we actually intended to eat at a different restaurant (two doors down) that had not yet opened for dinner. This was not our first visit to Capital Grille though. Do not be fooled by the name which makes it sound more like a casual burger joint. Inside, this place has a lot of dark toned wood paneling and portraits giving the place a feel of a rich mens club in the early 1900s. It is located in a mall so I noticed there are casual shoppers dinning during lunch. Not sure what the dress is during dinner though. The food. I ordered the lobster which was huge. It practically melted in my mouth. Cooked to perfection! Photo submitted. My husband ordered a steak (do not remember which one) and he said it was like butter. Perfection again! Photo submitted. For sides (everything is al a carte) we ordered au gratin potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. Both were excellent. Photos submitted. The service. The service was outstanding, the server always showed up just at the right time. Not too much or too little and always just when she was needed. At one point my husband mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary so a little later she showed up with a rose for our table. Nice touch. But the best example of the level of service was how a slight wait was managed. It did seem that the server disappeared for awhile. A long while. I guess the Manager noticed us looking around for her so he came over. Very nice man. He apologized and said she would be right over and he said he would comp a round of drinks. The "Icing". We ordered our desserts to go because we could not even finish our meals however the server came out with a very nice anniversary surprise. I submitted a photo for this also but briefly, it was a plate that said "Happy Anniversary" with a small sample of each of the desserts we ordered to go. Please see the photo because it was beautiful and so nice. It was a very nice dining experience.

NOT WORTH IT The crab cake were really good, but my steak was burned with a lot of charred carbon on it. Of course it was OVER cooked, when I requested for a medium cooked steak, so I had to send it back. Lobster mac&cheese was nothing out of this world, no cheese just liquid cream and some pasta with few pieces of lobster. Our waiter had very hasty on us, he seemed like he just wanted to take the order in a hurry and serve us. My steak was overcooked (burned with char)and the server was nowhere to be found. Once he appeared, he took the plate and just said "Oh sorry you probably got someone elses plate" and left, not apologetic at all. Finally manager comes with a new steak and stays until I check its perfectly cooked, which it was. What bothers me the most is that we did not get the same attention other tables next to us were getting by the SAME server! Server was nice and chatty with the table next to us, but us it was pretty much order and heres your food (maybe because we didnt order alcohol?). He handed me the bill at the same time he was asking us if we wanted dessert...hurry much? To make things worst, he wanted to charge me for the overcooked/returned steak as well. For the service provided & food, I do not see any value whatsoever in this restaurant of this level

I took my wife to this restaurant for our 33 anniversary and am so glad I did, our dining experience was amazing. The waiter staff are so professional and know exactly when to approach to keep your dining experience seamless. Our waiter was Michael Boggs and I have never enjoyed better service. For appetizers my wife had a cup of Lobster Bisque which she raved about and I had the Jumbo Lump Crab which was a huge portion. Michael suggested the special which was Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon, so glad we went with his suggestion! The Lobster Tail was cooked to perfection and the clarified butter was ample and very clear. The Fillets were perfectly prepared to a medium rare request. The bovine that supplied these fillets must have been pampered as the flavor was unmatched. We also enjoyed two sides of Potatoes Au-gratin and Asparagus which was grilled. The potatoes are an easy prepare, however, preparing Asparagus properly, which they were, takes a little more talent. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to do so for this dining experience. I am NOT a high end diner and in the few cases that I have splurged in the past I have ended up feeling disappointed.. ... NOT in this case, My wife and myself were so pleased with this dining experience!

I was greeted at the door by the manager. He was friendly and looked happy to greet the guest. I had a reservation and was promptly show to my table. Daniel was my server and was phenomenal. I throughly enjoyed my visit here and he just added the the cream to the coffee,as you say. I ordered the Fixed Point Dinner. I order the Caesar salad as the first course. I had the 14 oz dry aged NY Strip as the main course. I got the Creme Buelee as the dessert. The Generous Pour was going on so I had that but you can only get that if you get entree which the Fixed Point Dinner was. I had the Provenance Sauvignon Blanc with my Caesar salad. I was poured the Beaulieu Vineyard, Tapestry Cabernet Blend with my steak. I got the Stags Leap, The Leap Cabernet Sauvignon with my dessert. I had a little room in my stomach for another taste of wine so I got the Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz Blend to taste. Everything was delicious and paired perfectly. I will definitely come back and not just for the food. The service was amazing.
