Reviewers for this restaurant are nuts! I went to this restaurant in June 2016 as I was on a business trip. I went there based on the google reviews...what a mistake!!! First of all, this restaurant is way over rated, food is everything but Mexican, the staff is sooo snob, they try to upsell you on everything (please give me a break with your Cilantro soup!!!). Pros: -Yes food tasted good...good job chef...but that is fusion cuisine based on Mexican traits, this is NOT Mexican food. Cons: -This restaurant should really be an Italian fusion restaurant. There is pasta, pork chops on the menu, clearly Italian... -Ambiance is dark and stuffy...like an Italian restaurant...Mexican restaurants are bright in colors and let the sunshine in... -Really snob waiters with the little voice explaining you the menu..."and this comes grazed with a hint of creamy cilantro based with herbs sauce..." what??? -My waiter, who was still fairly nice, was Brazilian...what??? Anyway, people will say that I am wrong and do not understand the concept, so here is my catch...Mexican restaurants are not pretentious and best staffed with illegals, proud of serving you tortilla based dishes that their moms used to cook....and preferably in a strip mall "hole in the wall"... Do not pretend to be a Mexican restaurant if you are not... call yourself a Fusion restaurant based on Mexican ingredients... Mexican cuisine is NOT and will never be upscale... that is an oxymoron to have both words in same sentence. As soon as I stepped in the restaurant I knew I had fallen in a trap and yes, i wanted a Tortilla dish, not crepes. Also, even though my waiter was nice and did a good job by what is probably expected from him, there was another waiter that was so rude. There was a lady waiting for her friend a few tables from me and the lady asked the waiter to tell her the specials and he said "no, lets wait for your friend to arrive so I do not have to repeat myself"...what??? BTW, I travel to Mexico monthly for business, so I know what Mexican cuisine looks like. I traveled all states in Mexico over the years, ate Tacos de Grillos on Paseo de la reforma in the DF, ate best Mole in Oaxaca, ate good cabrito in Monterrey, delicious seafood (jaiba) in Tampico, etc... Last catch...the restaurant is called Eduardo de San Angel, which means Eduardo from San Angel, so I will link this theme to one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Mexico City, San Angel Inn, where the famous muralist Diego Rivera and his wife Frida Kahlo lived, so last time I was there, i went to the most exclusive and expensive restaurant (real hacienda) in this area and i had...wait for it...the "enchiladas suizas"... I couldnt be in a more upscale restaurant in the most upscale neighborhood, so that is kind of ironic and should excuse my "ignorance" on the subject.

I went here yesterday with my girlfriend and I had the best dining experience, Ive had in many years! The service is high class, courteous and professional. The ambience is great. But the food... Everything we had was extremely well prepared and obviously made with love of good ingredients and high end cooking skills. The Cilantro Soup is to die for! We both had MahiMahi as entree and it was the most well tasting and perfectly cooked MahiMahi I ever tasted. It is not cheap - but compared to the quality it actually IS cheap. My best recommendations for this place. We will be back soon :-)

The kind of food you can expect at an upscale typical food restaurant in Mexico City, but toned down for an American palate. They have good authentic Mexican food. Having spent considerable time in various Mexican Sates, one can recognize the authentic flavors. However, I found some of the dishes to be rather bland for my preference. Admittedly, if they were to have the full intensity of Mexican flavors, it could be overwhelming for some. We had a large party during our last visit and most people were happy with their choice of dinner.

Great food!!! Everytime I go there, it never disappointed me. Pleasantly surprised to have found this place with such good and finely prepared food. Its a bit pricey but food is indeed good. Those soups!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. :) Tuna dish was a little bit too much -- it was a lot of tuna, perhaps a bit too thickly sliced. Desserts are great there too. You will go back there again. Like I do. Time and time again, that is. :=)

This is a hidden gem. Stumbled across this restaurant while looking for Mexican food. What a find. I love the cilantro soup and almost everything we have tried is just amazing. Its not the most modern in decoration and its not the best lit restaurant but the food is so flavorful and aromatic. This place has become one of our local favorites!

If you came from a very wealthy family in Mexico and had a private chef in the home, youd still have a hard time finding a chef that cooks like this. Youll find that every different meal from every different visit will be something that youll always remember.

gourmet mexican cuisine. if you want the typical mex salsa/fajitas/burritos go somewhere else. this is not your typical mexican joint, but a fine-dining experience. elegant, with excellent service too.
