Generally known for its high quality of food and deserts, I visited this location on Friday, May 10th while on the way to the park to see my twin three-year olds play. The kids are always joking about bringing them donuts so I figured that I would switch up and bring Cuban style cookies. Upon arrival, I noticed several different food options. Being hungry, I decided upon a Cuban steak sandwich. My order was promptly taken and the young lady went into the back to place my order. She disappeared for 13 minutes. I couldnt order my coffee as I waited or cookies for the kids. The other cashiers were helping other customers. When my cashier returned, I ordered my Colada only to have her start cleaning the machine. Ready to complain, I said to myself - okay, she is cleaning the machine - I should wait and not say anything. After the coffee, I went about my original intent and ordered five cookies. Overall, this place has good food and deserts. They are not big on customer service and getting people in and out. Although I dont speak Spanish, language was not a barrier. Just slow service. May I suggest someone else clean the coffee machines so you can get customers in and out? 20 minutes plus on a small take-out order was unaccepable. Had it not been for the high quality of the food, I would have rated one star. /s/ William E. Lewis Jr, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

I drove down from up north since 3 am. I found this place through Google and had a good review rating. I asked for a breakfast sandwich in English and she spoke in Spanish. I asked for 2 Empanada De pollo and they were ice cold right out of the cooler. I asked if I could get hot ones and right in the microwave they went and were handed back to me soggy. Took 13-15 mins for my breakfast sandwich. So I took the chicken from the empanadas now cold again and put it in the sandwich. I did get a smile. Im originally from Miami and never had this experience before in a Latin Bakery.

I know what you all mean when you say rude, unfriendly and nasty! But the cakes Ive had made were outstanding! Two of the girls where very helpful when I ordered the last cake, but there are times that you have to be a biotch/prick to get what you want! I recommend arming yourself with patience and assertiveness when you go. As far as the cakes go, they let you sample it (I always ask!) and they ask you how dry or moist you want the cake and if you want particular fillings you prefer. Oh and I always take my own cake toppers because the once they have are tacky!

Had a little extra time in the morning cute with a lot of options to eat however if youre not a local or Spanish youre not very welcomed. And making to pastry purchase and a coffee the total was under five dollars, girl behind the counter said five dollar minimum which is interesting because there was no signs posted all other Hispanic people there every month on your mortgage did not have that rule . I had to make an extra cookie purchase that I just gave to a local office I actually felt singled out and not welcome. I probably wont be back

This bakery is excellent. Awesome cakes, Cuban bread and lets not forget their fresh pastelitos (Spanish pastries) and café con leche (Coffee with milk). They are also great for getting you out of a bind such as last minute parties. Just walk in and select one or more of there pre-made pastry platters. If you dont see the platters ask them they usually have them out back plus their prices are reasonable!

No matter where Ive worked or lived in Dade or Broward, Ive always bought my baked goods at one of Vickys locations. Its so hard to decide which pastry to choose because they all look and taste so good! The cafecito and cafe con leche is great and everything is priced for the working man or woman on a budget. Good news - You dont have to mortgage the house to pay for your party refreshments.

I have been going to Vickys since it opened and if you can get by the service, the pastries and cafe are very good. Everytime i go there it seems the staff pretends they are all brand new and not quite sure what to do. Its more like a comedy show watching these gals try to do their job, without much luck. If they had a manager i`m positive things would flow easier, but, thats not the case...

The cake was BEAUTIFUL!!! it tasted great and the young girl who works there Carmen was Awesome with me. The day of the party the cake got a little messed up in transit due to the wizard hat they made for me was to heavy for the cake but they fixed it up right away and looked ike if nothing ever happend to it. First time I use them and I will be a returning customer.

Kids and I saw flies in the pastry cases, 8 people behind counter yet had to beg for service, Cuban sandwich and pastry varieties not up to par with other Vickys locations. Horrible service when we finally got their attention. Really disappointed overall and will drive the extra few miles for the other Vickys location.

This is the go to spot in the local area for Cuban and Latin sweets, pastries, and baked goods. They also have a limited breakfast menu to eat onsite. Ive enjoyed their croquettes (croqueta), tequenos (cheese in a blanket of dough), pastelitos de guayava (guava pastries), and Cuban bread; everything is excellent.

The food is no longer what it was when it opened. Cold food or old food. Coffee is ok. Service is super slow.. it appears packed but it because of slow service. Price is not good because you get old ir cold food. Seen bugs in food to top it off. Needs to get inspected for that.

I called to inquire about order 2 cakes and was told to come in for the info. I said I was coming in only to pick up and would pay over the phone. I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes left without a quote and simply hung up to order at a different bakery. How disappointing!

A must for my sons birthday parties. Their latin appetizers are delicious and packaged so well that you can take them right from the bakery to your table. Those treats are always the first to disappear! The prices are unbeatable as well!
