Ive shopped at this location for years. Always great so I planned my wedding and chose them as caterers. Worst experience and the only good thing about it was the food and cake. The service was terrible and for any future bride-to-be, cover yourself. Document every single guarantee and receive any invoice for what they are charging you before you authorize any payment. When I placed an order for my cake and catering it was for 175 people and we worked my bill out to provide 4 servers/bartenders. I had a verbal guarantee from GL, the caterer rep, that I could pay half now and the remaining bill a week after the event. Sounded great and he and another woman from bakery were the only 2 people I EVER spoke with when I went in with my mother-in-law and then again with my fiance. The manager of catering or whatever role he is there, Gary, was never present for these meetings, some how falsely claiming to have known what was discussed. The week of my wedding a serving company called me, which I never was told before that Doris subcontracts. The owner of that business tells me that she can only work my event with 9 people minimum, no other option. SO I had to say yes and move on. GL NEVER mentioned this and he knew how many people I had for my event. The day before the wedding GL calls me and tells me I have to pay off my balance. I explain my frustration and the serving dilemma and he offers me a discount on some of the service and hot boxes. He mentioned no discount until he knew my dilemmas and I appreciated it at that time. The day of the event my bridesmaids had to go out AN HOUR BEFORE THE CEREMONY to buy extra serving ware, etc. Doris nor the serving company mentioned me buying extra items so the servers could do their job. How many events have they all done? This was my first and I can admit not knowing everything but I had to no clue what they needed to serve my wedding (water pouring containers, buffet plastic serving ware, knives, plastic cups for the bar). When I spoke to Gary about this he said Doris and the serving company assumed my venue would take care of this. The only involvement of the community clubhouse and Doris was an insurance certificate submission, as far as I know. 3 days after my wedding Im at the airport and GL calls me and tells me that I owe ~$350 for the extra serving hours that the staff worked. I never received an invoice for this but I paid it so I could be over dealing with Doris Market. Not really!! 5 weeks after the wedding GL calls me to tell me that I still owe extra money for overtime that the servers worked. I called him back and I told him he or the serving company should have called me immediately and I would not pay this extra amount. Again, no invoice given to me and told to pay up. Gary called me today and I tried to explain the above situation. He did not care and told me he doesnt need to know the details. He asked if Im going to pay or not and I told him absolutely not. Gary then calls me a CHEAPSKATE for not doing so. Mind you, Ive PAID this company $4,710 already by this time. Insulting customers after making claims which you were no part of are no way to resolve a payment discrepancy caused BY YOUR STAFF. My recommendation is, again, cover yourself. They may call you weeks after trying to get more money out of you. Although I spoke to the serving company before my wedding they never made any attempt to collect any funds after the wedding either. The only invoice I ever received and agreed to sign was for $3,116. I only authorized other payments to continue to be in good standing payment-wise. I never signed any documents for the subcontracted serving company.

This is a great little Italian market! When you walk in, you can smell the cheeses, salamis and all the things that say, "Italy." We really like to come here for the prepared meat items. The things like the stuffed chicken breasts are so convenient, when you cant think of anything to cook or you just dont feel up to doing it yourself. You bring them home, pop them in the oven and voila! you have dinner! They are very tasty and well prepared. There is a soup and salad bar to go with your entree. Or you can buy your entree already cooked. Then the dinner starts to get pricier. There is also a nice selection of fresh fruits and veggies, which are sometimes less expensive than in other markets. Sometimes not, you have to know your prices. Along with those are an interesting collection of sauces, including freshly made and refrigerated Italian sauces in case you dont want to make your own but you dont want the ones in the jars, either. The fresh breads and pastries are also really good. I have to be careful not to take home all of them. Carbs are totally my weakness. I do wish it was a bit roomier. If there are many people shopping, it gets pretty crowded.

This place is great. So glad its here. Great prices and deals. Bought a 5 LB bog of Chicken Breast for $129 a LB! Fresh and delicious. Mahi Mahi filets $6.99. Fresh! Meat department looked solid, --lots of great sausages and steaks. Good veggies, less pricey than publix and Dixie and as fresh or fresher. (you know its one thing to get great prices on produce and then you get home and its almost at its end? Not here. Im not a bakery guy, but the bakery was swarmed and everything looked great. Gals walking around with trays with deli samples. Very nice touch. The service was more than friendly. Deli guy came from behind the counter to show me where something was. Cashiers were pleasant and plentiful. I will return.

Stanley was at lunch so the lady that took his part at the Fish Department waited poorly on me the lady at the fish department did not wait on me correctly. I asked for lobster bisque and she went in the back and got 6 containers of the small 4.99 each. She proceeded to fill up all 6 of them. Then put the covers on. Meantime Im still waiting. I asked may I please have my lobster bisque and then she went to the weigh machine and proceeded to tape out 6 prices. I asked for my lobster bisque again for my container. She was not happy and she pounded it on the counter. That lady employee did not take ""Customer First". I have not visited Doriss for quite awhile and Im not likely to go back there for quite awhile.

I started shopping there for various items and actually liked the items I ordered from the bakery..Buttt, the more I went to this establishment the more it got to be a hassle,,starting from employee attitude, to refusal to honor their listed coupons.. I think its ok at best and way over rated.. I think Ill stay with "The Dixie" and might go back but I doubt anything will change-Sorry learn to treat your clients/customers with respect..No room for hassles here..
