Although the portions are large, if the food isnt cooked properly, the amount that youre served is irrelevant. When this issue is brought to the attention of the staff it seems to be a major inconvenience. Giving the benefit of doubt that it could have just been "a bad day" for the establishment, I returned several times to dine with family and friends. Each time I grew more and more disgusted with events that I personally witnessed. Yelling and cursing from the kitchen, while children were present, bullying and public scolding of the staff by so called management and the owner himself telling a disabled elderly woman that she would not be allowed to return because her motorized wheelchair took up too much room! All of these things combined with the fact that the owner has a clear and openly admitted disdain for veterans of the armed forces of which NO discounts apply, while knowingly, falsely professing his patriotism with a 20% discount to active military only, yet offering law enforcement complementary meals or at least a 50% discount, undoubtedly to his own benefit. Any one of these is enough to persuade this former patron (and veteran) not to return. Shame on you!

I came here with my friend and we met my dad for a late brunch. When we got there my dad asked me to taste the oatmeal and it was definitely not right and we had it sent back. When our food came out my friend and I had to THEN go find our own silverware. When we started eating he said look at this, and there a was a short black hair in his eggs. We sent it back and through the kitchen door we could see all the employees in there goofing off and none of them wearing hair nets. To top it off, they still charged us for the meal and neither a manager or owner came to our table to apologize for the service and food. What put me over the edge was when they wouldnt give my dad a military discount after he served in desert storm, they said quote "We only give active duty military a discount". Needless to say we will NEVER be back!!!!!!!! They clearly dont respect their customers let alone our veterans that have served this country. That is no way to run a business. The owner and manager should be ashamed of themselves and restructure how they run their business.

My wife and i stopped in to try this place a few days ago and we were impressed. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is bc they close at 2pm-ish so there arent any dinner items really. Other than that, we will definitely be back! For reference, i had the triple decker sandwich and my wife had the bang bang shrimp salad. The proportions were plenty. Plating was nice and food was very good and fresh tasting. I didnt catch our waitresses name but she was very nice and on top of things. Something else i would like to point out is that ALL of the staff we encountered were very friendly and courteous. Much appreciated! The restaurant was very clean and diner-esque. I am very much looking forward to our next trip here to try out some of the breakfast items! If you live in the area definitely check this place out!

So sad! Maybe the best breakfast if the service was better. Went with my boyfriend and sister. I ordered a skillet and received it perfect. Bf ordered an Omelette with jalapeños and ham, got ham and sausage! Sister ordered a chicken biscuit meal with sausage gravy on the side (to give to me because she doesnt eat meat). She received the plate with the sausage gravy on the chicken. We nicely reminded the waitress that she ordered the gravy on the side. Plate taken back to kitchen and received it back in 1 min! They have literally wiped the gravy off! So disappointed :( we walked to the front and paid for the coffee we drank. Explained our disappointment and still no apology! Definitely not going back and also all the people we recommended wont be going either!

I eat here regularly for breakfast and lunch and it is everything you could want in a local greasy spoon. Breakfast foods are fresh, hot, and delicious (particularly the corn beef hash and the monster croissant sandwiches). Salads use real greens (not iceberg), portions are solid, and the service is almost always super friendly and fast. Its nothing game-changing, but its a great little spot for a quality meal. Best in Bloomingdale/Riverview. Would be 5 starts but the coffee and tea are mediocre, which is a killer for a breakfast spot, and the menu is classic but unoriginal.

Breakfast is great. The food was very tasty and I dont even like breakfast that much. The pancakes are huge and the price is unbeatable. The restaurant is busy so there is long wait times but it is worth it. Inside is cozy and has an old time feel. The waiter we had was great. Really friendly and attentive. The reason for the 4 stars instead of five was the lady who sat us. She was rude which is sad because shes the first person you see. Except for that small bad experience I definitely suggest people to come and enjoy this small spot.

Service was ok, The food was mediocre. I had the stuffed breakfast, it wasnt very "stuffed" and the only choice was apricot and cream cheese. My boyfriend had the skillet thing, finished it, didnt get a pic or a shirt lol and didnt see anyones pics on the wall for eating it either. Its not a huge skillet, its about the same size as a skillet breakfast at Dennys.... We eat out a lot and honestly we werent impressed and wont be returning. It just happened to have the shortest waiting line on Valentines Day....

The food was ok, but my problem was the tall skinny blonde person (I wont use lady) at the register that waited on me for my carryout. She was VERY rude ro me from the start. It was not busy, she did not greet me then when I told her I wanted to place a carryout order she tried rushing me. Then when she seen on the receipt that I did not leave a tip on my card she threw my food on the counter and said there you go. Was going to leave a cash tip but no way. I will not be back there...

Food was very cool, kelly our waitress was rude and rushy, refused 2 times to give me fresh hot coffee, even after i pointed to the fresh pot and said please, she went to big silver store pot, tilted it to give me last drops, i said nevermind, i dont want the coffee. I was overcharged also but paid it too leave, i used calculator and menu to add my bill at the end. Wont return!

The staff was friendly...and this place was HOPPING. The food was excellent. I had the stuffed breakfast....I did the full...could have easily filled up on half. Everything was excellent. My boyfriend had Daves Skillet and couldnt even finish...loved it. And he had one of the best bowls of French onion soup hes had in a long time. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Saw a post about good cornbeef so called ahead to make sure they had it and was homemade. Was told yes it is. Arrived after 30 minute drive to find it was the canned crap with cornbeef added!!! Like dog food. And when asked how my meal was, I spoke my mind. None of the front of the house people really knew how it was made... False advertising, I wont be back.
