I wish I could give them no stars. Ive worked for starbucks for 8 months in another state. I transferred to delaware and have worked at about 4 stores before quitting. This store DOES NOT DATE THEIR FOOD. Not only do sandwiches need to be dated and expire quickly, but those pop tarts and dream bars at the register also expire fairly quickly. I ask you to look anywhere for an expiration date they wont have one. As an employee I get free food and drinks while I work, i refuse to consume anything from this location. Starbucks makes employees clean ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING from trash cans to milk pitchers to fridges, walls and lights, bathrooms, EVERYTHING 3 times per day. This place has not washed their walls or ceilings in I cant tell you how long. Every surface had an inch thick of grime. The floors behind the bars have black grime everywhere. Cock roaches in the bathroom. Old milk left on lids to half and half containers because of not cleaning properly. Nothing about this starbucks is run by code and im beginning to question delawares health department. On top of this they expect employees to work 5 minutes short of 6 hours without a lunch break for a 7.5 hour shift. They are so busy trying to get your drinks out they do not clean AT ALL.

There is a homeless person who was standing close to my table coughing and spitting.I had to ask him to move his dirty clothes off the table so I could sit down.He appears to be living outside by the tables.I said something to manager to no avail.Two weeks later the same homeless bum stands next to the tables outside.Cigarette smoke blowing in my face,coughing and spitting 3 feet away.I had to go inside on a nice day and watch him bum money off people out the window.I guess lm just going to go to Dunkin Donuts where they do not tolerate that sort of thing

Ive been here a number of times, and so far each visit has been pleasant. The staff Ive interacted with has been very friendly and socialable, as well as being ok with me stopping in to use the wifi, charge my phone, and cool off without always buying something. The restrooms were surprisingly well kept and stocked, the dining area is clean, the WiFi has good signal and speed. Lastly the food and beverages Ive had here have been great. I drink A LOT of coffee as well as playing pokemon go and this is this is one of my go to places in all of main street.

I went to Starbucks this morning @ 5:30am when they open and the door was locked. I waited until 5:35am and knocked and they would not open the door. At 5:45am when I finally got them to open the door they told me they werent ready for customers yet and I would have to wait until they were ready f or me or I could go to another location on Kirkwood Hwy.This is NOT good customer service. I would understand if they needed a minute but to tell me to go to another location 15 minutes down the road is not professional.

Barista that took order was helpful because my wife had a couple of questions about the caramel coffees w/espresso. Bought 2 grandes, one of which was a hot chocolate (Im not a coffee guy) for me. Her coffee was maybe 2/3 full and mine seemed to be closer to half. My hot chocolate, with and without whipped cream, is shown. Is that normal?! The hot chocolate was warm and no where near hot, but that was OK-didnt have to wait to drink it.

My wife and I arrived at 10pm to find out that the oven was already off and the barista, Shamiqua, claimed that they were out of stock of anything we wanted that could be heated up. My extra hot hot chocolate was barely warm. The general attitude toward service here was half hearted at best. We used to love this Starbucks and the fact that its open until late but this time our experience was very disappointing.

The baristas are nice but unproductive. Constantly waiting for my drink while the baristas are busy talking to each other. One is always standing at the end of the bar on break distracting others while they work. Have boycotted Starbucks for several months before due to this stores poor service.

The baristas were nice, it was clean and bright and its super close to the University of Delaware campus. While tiny boutique coffee shops can be great theres something great about traveling so far from home, and still being able to know exactly what you expect when you walk in the door.

They forgot to put the salt on my salted caramel mocha frappucino + it took a long time to make it while others were getting their drinks before me even though they had paid after me. Im disappointed they forgot the key ingredient in this frappe

Always a long wait, parking is a pain in the butt. Theres not any other locations near. Sometimes Ill wait in line for a cold brew and theyre out. I still go here all the time. There is limited seating and only the one barista station, BAD!

Except for homeless man who calls it home, and students who use 3-4 chairs for laptop, books, notebooks, backpack (per student !) , its good coffee ! Some students make purchase, many dont. They confuse it for UD library.

Not a fan of this Starbucks. Its always busy and very tight inside. One large communal table in the center of the store, no place to just sit and relax. I usually grab my coffee to go at this location.

The lines were a little slower moving than a standard Starbucks, otherwise a pleasant place to sit and have coffee. The outside seating is enjoyable for people watching.
