Great new place! The Cheff, Donny Merril, puts more love in his consideration to customers than any cheff Ive ever known. He is the first chef to make a system of taking orders that will easily accomodate the most odd food considerations. Have a food allergy...no problem...Merryl has a ready to go process of recreating any dish with and without your personal needs made to order. Such considerations in these days of food allergies, diets, and a desire to enjoy friends without all the business of cooking and entertaining in home, is truly food service excellence you deserve. Beyond the deep dish thoughtful considerations for individual dietary concerns, the prices are no higher than any other place in the area, but the food is tasty, well prepared, and service is quick and kindly. One of my friends actually dreams about some of the dishes and always orders enough to take home so that he can enjoy the experience a second time. Looking forward to my next visit.

Ive been here several times, and always had a great experience. The food is AWESOME, and the servers Ive had have all been friendly and competent. It does tend to be packed, especially on the weekends. The one time I didnt call ahead, I ended up at the bar- Im not a big fan of eating at bars, but it was fine. The bartender was fast and friendly, and there were small happy hour specials available. We ordered several. All of them were great, but especially the salmon tacos. If theyre available when you go, youve got to try them! The desserts have all been excellent so far, too. Portions are good- not a bathtub full of pasta, but not two bites on a plate, either. I know its a new restaurant, so Im sure a lot of stuff is going to be changed and tweaked over time, but so far, so good!

Terrible. Went for lunch. Its was half full and service was terrible. They served a caesar salad with big chunks of anchovies. Nasty. They got our orders all mixed up and I ended up with pork. I ordered chicken with a salad and got slaw. I mentioned this to our server and go the "deer in the headlights stare" . The sandwich I got was so greasy I could not pick it up.. It made me half sick. The veggie slaw was horrible with no seasoning. It should have never left the kitchen. My husbands steak sandwich was supposed to be medium rare and it was well done. I was there with my elderly parents or I would have complained to the manager. They would have been mortified if I had. I will not be going back.

The food was really good, and the service was fast and friendly. The hostess was a bit overwhelmed when we walked in, and was extremely apologetic that we couldnt be seated right away. We didnt mind, it was the dinner rush on a Friday. They seated us a few minutes later, and again the hostess was apologetic for the location of our table. We got stuck at the little two-top behind the hostess station. Not the best seats, but it actually wasnt terrible. It might be wise to make reservations at this joint for dinner. My only disappointment was they didnt have enough copies of the drinks and daily specials menus. We did eventually get a specials menu, but I never got to check out their drink menu.

After four visits, on various days, at various times, Ive found this to be an enjoyable, casually upscale dining location. Ive seen the bar backed up (waiting 10 mins for drink refill), and slow(er), watched the supper crowd arrive and been there late night (closing) Heres a promise: You will be warmly welcomed. Your palate will be satiated (decently stocked bar and good food). The presentation of your food will be excellent. If you strike up a conversation in the casual dining area (enter/sit in left), youll encounter a diversity of good people from all backgrounds and youll come back. At least, I continue to …

Really nice place actually. Mike our server was really trying hard and did a great job explaining things and offering recommendations. Clean restaurant but a little bit tight seating arrangement. The food makes up for it with great , unique flavors and combinations. Try the lobster/shrimp foam crab cakes and the tater tot crusted short ribs. Lobster bisque is also very good. Live music (keyboard) was playing the night we went, and that is a nice touch that you do not really see much anymore. This places seems to be trying very hard and deserves at least a try from you.

Atmosphere is nice. Food that I did have is pretty good. Everything is taking forever to come out. Seated before seven, and still waiting for my meal at five of eight. Did have a meat platter about twenty minutes ago. Id understand if it was busy, but the house is only half full. Food came out shortly after original posting. It was good. Just not hour wait good. A second edit: the server came by and took responsibility for the delay. That was kind of her. She said she forgot to do something, and that is what took so long.

Never again! Obnoxious asst manager screaming from the kitchen "Hannibal Lector" after I said camel meatballs were disgusting followed by a red hair in my burger which she said was a corn stalk. I had bitten into the burger and pulled the hair from my mouth. I tugged it to see if it would easily break and it did not. A corn "silk" not stalk would have broken and would not be red like my waitresses. She was nice. Their hair was pulled back but pony tails were flapping around as they walked. I was totally grossed out.

We came for lunch on our way back to NY from Maryland and it was a surprisingly great meal. Id order every dish again: wild game and seafood charcuterie boards, Eastern shore shellfish Fetuccine, espresso crusted anteloupe filet with Brussels sprouts and sweet potato lasagna, and the short rib sloppy joe. I wasnt expecting to find fresh, high quality ingredients in the middle of nowhere and the bonus was paying middle of nowhere prices. Everyone in our group from age 3 to 69 was happy!

Just went there with my mom and had an awesome lunch and dessert! My mom had their Skipjack beer which I tried and it was very good. Our server, who was the bartender, was so friendly and welcoming! He gave great service and made me want to come back again! Brownie sundae dessert with graham cracker ice cream and melted marshmallow was soooo good!! Lunch fish tacos and shrimp and pineapple skewers were amazing as well. Cant wait to come back!!!!!!! :)

My family is pressuring me to make this rating a 5. I feel like its more of a 4+, but I would be short changing them. The meal was great. First time Ive had antelope. It was a little tougher than Id like, but I take partial blame since the chef recommended medium rare and I went with medium. Food and service were really good. My table was too small for 4 people. I felt on top of my family.

One of the best places to eat in Delaware, hands down. It is rare to find a restaurant that is inventive with their food, and Skipjack accomplishes this easily in the products they use and the way the food is prepared. I love everything Ive eaten there, particularly the white chocolate celeriac puree. Its a side, but if you see it paired with something, Id highly recommend ordering it.
