I have been coming here for years and never had a problem. Ive always enjoyed the experience. However, apparently they are now under new management and have hired new staff, which is making some of the service go downhill. My family and I went there to celebrate a couple birthdays and the waitress was nothing but rude. When we went to pay for our meal, we asked kindly that we pay separately but still have the added gratuity. Not only did she argue with us for 15 mins about it, when she finally did as we asked she screwed it up to the point where we had to send the checks back 3 times just to get it right. And it still wasnt right! We asked to speak to a manager, and he was just as rude as she was. We finally paid and she threw the receipts and cards at us and stormed off. And to top it all off, she didnt even give us our change for the cash we paid with! Not to mention the food wasnt really up to par with what we are used to. We walked out of there very upset, and will not be going back there for a very long time.

EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE FOR A JAPANEZE STIRFRY DINNER THAT DIDNT EVEN HAVE ANY ORIENTAL VEGETABLES!!! LOTS OF CHEAP LOCAL VEGETABLES (TONS OF ONIONS INCLUDED - THE CHEAPEST VEGETABLE IN THE GROCERY PRODUCE SECTION). No snow peas, no water chesnuts, no bok choy, no savoy cabbage, NOT EVEN CANNED BEAN SPROUTS - not a single vegetable that could be called oriental. The only oriental food was the Kikkoman soy sauce. THE HOSTESS AND STAFF DIDNT HAVE ANY KIND OF A FRIENDLY GREETING, THEY HERDED US IN LIKE CATTLE AND SAID NEXT TO NOTHING TO US DURING THE ENTIRE VISIT - VERY IMPERSONAL AND A LOUSY ATMOSPHERE!!!!! The stirfry food was piled on the grill so heavily that it steamed rather than fried. I guarantee that the stirfry that I make at home is much more satisfying than Hibachi Japanese Steak House, Bear Delaware.

If you never been to a Hibachi type restaurant you owe yourself to try one. This was a treat for my grandchildren, they are not the best eaters in the world, but the display the chef puts on made them willing to put away the electronic equipment they are armed with and pay attention to the preparation process. Fun meal, plenty to eat, no too expensive and great experience. Be prepared to catch a flying shrimp in you mouth. Watch for the Onion Volcano and the blinding speed at which the chef handles the knives. There are a number of these in the Wilmington area. They are all run by the same family - they keep them fresh and clean. The one on the Kirkwood Hwy is more dated and given a choice - head to either Concord Pike or Bear for a fresher experience.

Mediocre at best. Service was ok. Chef was bored. Food was the biggest disappointment. No green onion soup with meal. Salad did not have ginger dressing, was more like honey mustard. Sauces were horrible. Yum yum sauce had zero flavor, steak sauce was barely flavorful. Rice was bland. Shrimp and steak were ok, not fantastic at all. Vegetables were not very fresh, no mushrooms included either. Ive been to lots of hibachi restaurants. This one should be avoided, find somewhere else to eat. Prices consistent with other Hibachi restaurants. Lots of other places to chose from in the area. Please look around first.

We got $40 worth of vegetable sushi which, to me, is usually a disappointment at most restaurants. This wasnt! The rolls that we ordered were in groups of 8 (to our surprise) and packed with vegetables. Usually they are in groups of 4 or 6 and barely offer anything that would justify the price. I would, however, caution against getting the cucumber roll. Even though it was substantial in size, it was somewhat bland. Other than that, the experience was rewarding. We were told that it would take 20 minutes, but it was ready after 15.

We had a group of 5 go there tonight. The food was OK, not as good as it used to be. We have been to this restaurant multiple times and had good meals. Tonight was very disappointing. I believe that the fans need to be cleaned or replaced. It was very smoky in our room. You could see dried grease drip stains on the painting in the room. We all had to take showers when we came home.

We went there for the 1st time last week and were very impressed with the food and the service. Their specials are priced great AND you still get the full meal, no skimping! (It even states that on the menu:). The food was absolutely incredible and the service was awesome. Well definitely be making eating at this place a weekly routine!

Can honestly say Ive never had a bad experience coming here for the past twos years. The only thing would be one or two chefs arent the best. And I hate when people talk about the all you can eat sushi isnt the best. Its 26$ what do you expect thats cheap as heck and its not bad. if you want good sushi go to miki motos you cheap fu*ks

To be perfectly fair, I wasnt expecting the teriyaki flavor. We were also traveling through and it may have been an off night. That said, I didnt really like it. It was just boring. The food was cooked well, but the taste and presentation were just, bleh. Well try something different next time.

dirty. very very dirty. if you look closely you will see the missed shrimp still on the floor from earlier seatings. the food is extremely salty. and service is so so. its a good event the first time. but after seeing onion volcano eruption after eruption it grows tiresome.

I love the place. It is kinda pricy but no worse than an average steak house. My only complaint is having to sit w strangers. Im not antisocial and I do understand why they sit everyone together. But sometimes u can get put next to a very annoying person lol.

Delicious and great price on their sushi buffet! Service is quick to seat at the sushi bar. Usually quick to serve your first order and occasionally takes longer to get your next orders but its all great hand made rolls.

Good amount of food for price. The litle show/performance when then chef grills the food is usually a fun experience. The house salad dressing is delicious. The tip is included in the bill; dont be confused.

I like the fact that you sit at the grill and they prepare your order in front of you. Also tgey have v this thing where they preparecshrimp, toss it at you and you have to try and catch it in your mouth.

Hibachis in Bear is always great! Been going there for 10+ years. Best sushi in the area, with $25 all you can eat sushi bar. Includes drink, salad, soup, rice, noodles and sushi!
