First: the fish is not fresh. What more can I say? This is unacceptable for a restaurant that sells sushi/sashimi. I dont mean as a one time thing either, Ive had their sushi multiple times, three times was enough before I made my decision that I would never eat their food again. Second, the rest of the cooked items on the menu are greasy, semi-bland and a lot like Hibachi food (not good). Prices are pretty high for the quality that you get. Their sweet potato rolls are okay I guess. If you want good Japanese food, the best sushi Ive had in the area is in Philly. I would write where to go specifically for good sushi in Delaware, but Id prefer Hockessin snobs to stay in Hockessin. :-)

The sashimi is as good as anywhere and the service is great. They run this place like every restaurant should be run - with the personal touch - they remember us, our family, even though we dont really come in all that often. Weve been going there since they opened over 10 years ago, and I cant speak highly enough of them. We own a nearby restaurant and they are our model for customer service. Its the kind of place youll want to keep coming back to.

BEST PLACE EVER!!! Have never gone and not had a great experience with the individuals working here. They are great and keep you smiling and laughing. Only place in DE that my husband is willing to have them prepare a roll for me to pick up and take home. Always fresh and tasty.

Blech....sushi was not good. Only had the salmon roll but rice was mushy more rice than salmon. Would not go back. I love sushi and thought this was a find....apparently not. Dont waste your money. Friendly staff but not quality sushi. Miso soup made me feel naseous.

We had a great dining experience. We sat at the sushi bar and head chefowner offered to make a specialty roll not on the menu and it was delicious!...along with everything else we ordered. Very pleased with the service and will definitely return. Pete and Erin.

Sushi was was pretty lack luster. Price was decent but definitely wont be returning. My girlfriend described the sushi as "edible". Ive tried many other sushi places in the area and Sake Hana is leaps and bounds better and only 10-15 min up the road in Avondale.

I go to Okura regularly for sushi and always bring visiting guests here - when my friends return for repeat visits they always want to go to Okura again. The sushi bar is always lively and fun. The sushi is well prepared and the special rolls are creative.

The very excellent sushi at this restaurant is secondary only to the nicest and most laudable restaurant owners whom are always more concerned with your dining experience than you are. Go to here... you will not regret it.
