I have had experience eating sushi in Japan where the fish is absolutely fresh and served correctly. In my recent experience in the U.S., it is now hard to find a real Japanese chef. Nowadays they hire any old chef from any old country. If you have any tastebuds left in your mouth, you can immediately tell the difference. Non-Japanese chefs have little concern for freshness. So I was pleasantly, ecstatically, surprised to find the new Japanese chef at Yokohama. This is the only sushi restaurant in the Exton area with fresh fish, presented the way it was meant to be presented. I also tried Hibachi restaurant, but the fish was old and tasteless.

I have been going here for 10 years at least! The sushi is the best around here. The Owner and Chef are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Prices are great! 2 pieces per order for the same price as 1 piece at a high-end sushi restaurant. Ive eaten at plenty, and always find my way back to Yokohama. Its the basics, but itt the best. The Chef can be very creative, too. Highly recommended.

We are regulars at this place. The Habachi chef is not a flamboyant as some other places, but he prepares some really outstanding dishes. The sushi and sashimi are excellent. It is a BYOB, so it is more economical than many other sushi places. The wait staff is friendly. If you live in the area, expect to see some of your neigbors there on week-end nights. You should check it out.

This place has by far the best sushi I have had in the area. Admittedly, I have only went to two other close by establishments (Aoki and Z. Wei). Nevertheless, not only is the sushi top quality but there other dishes are also good. I had the lemongrass chicken last time I was there and it was very good. Highly recommended.

Family-owned, and it shows. Always fresh and well prepared, have never had a bad meal there. Quiet, low-key, great food, nice people. Cant ask for much more for a quiet night out. No show at the hibachi tables thankfully--they cook for you to eat, not for entertainment.

Spent $35 on the worst sushi Ive ever had last week. The fish was brown and smelled funky. Honestly. I used to like this place years ago, but its gone down hill unfortunately.

My family and I have dined at Yokohama many times over the years. Weve always enjoyed the family atmosphere of Yokohama. Much recommended.
