Honestly the worst sushi experience Ive ever had, ever. There was a layer of grease on everything in the restaurant, from the booths to the bottles of soy sauce. One of those places where the lights are dimmed not so much for ambiance, but more likely to make the general dinginess less obvious. If you doubt me and decide to go, I dare you to look up at the ceiling panels - they tell no lies. I had the urge to turn around and leave as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the strong smell of old grease hanging in the air, but my wife was dying for sushi, so I decided to cowboy up. I honestly dont know where the good reviews are coming from, though the place seemed to have a steady stream of customers. My wifes plate was not clean and had to be changed. The food itself wasnt quite as bad as the setting. We had a rather bland squid dish as an appetizer. The sushi was definitely unremarkable - not totally fresh, but not old either. c or c-minus. But the uni we ordered tasted so off that I actually spit it back out into my napkin (a true sin for anyone who loves uni). For those know uni, its consistency was more like syrup instead of that wonderful froth that makes it so wonderful. Seriously, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Is an expensive place butt is worth the money the food is really good I would recommend to anyone is my favorite palce, thay have my favorite food. The only bad thing that I can say is about the waitress she was very demanding with the tip she would yell across the hallway that we forgot to put the tip on the bill. besides that place is expensive they pushed you to give tips I thought that was optional how you feel about the service for you that night and I wasnt very happy with her. She forget the utensils or if I need to order something else to drink not very polite. My husband más I we always give a good tip if the service is really good for appreciation of the good service!!

Ive been going here for years and it started off really strong with fresh food and an attentive staff. At some point the ownership changed and they remodeled which was an improvement aesthetically. Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined. Far from the freshest sushi Ive ever had, their specialty rolls are smothered in sauce (which I now avoid) and the service has been sub par my last few visits.I used to go at least once a month but Ive only been a few times in the last year and each time I go, Im nostalgic for when they first opened. On the plus side, The hibachi is still good (the kids really enjoy the spectacle) and they still make a good Saketini!

Ok, so again today I found myself craving sushi... so my brother and I decided to check it out. If you didnt give this plaace a 5 star rating, you either caught them on a bad day, or youre an idiot. We sat at the bar and it wasnt dirty or sticky like Ive read in reviews, the waitress was soo nice, and very helpful in helping us decide what exactly we wanted. Walked out the door with a total of a $45 check, including the ten I gave as a tip. We were both very impressed and if you think of eating here, please do! You wont be dissapointed.

Im not sure which was more enjoyable - the food or the entertainment. The showmanship was wonderful at the hibachi table and to my delight, the food was very tasty as well. I recently went to a Japanese hibachi restaurant on the access road to Stowe in Vermont and I can say the Fuji was very much better than the one in Stowe in all respects. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome experience! The all of the staff were fun and entertaining and very pleasant. Food was delicious. The atmosphere was great we even made a few new friends. Well worth the price! My wife and I cant wait to go back there again. The Fuji is a great place!

Sushi was pretty good here. Unfortunately got stuck next to some patrons who were loud and annoying. The place was pretty empty when we were eating so not sure why they had to stick them right next to us. Besides that the food and service was good.

Food is amazing never been to a hibachi before and the experience was so awesome here! We went with about 9 ppl and there was plenty of seats just not a while lot of elbow room. My kids really enjoyed it as well.. Definitely will be back there soon!

The food here has been pretty consistent and its the best sushi in Torrington. My only real complaint is the service. Sometimes service is fine other times its a bit subpar. Overall its usually a pretty good experience.

Nice restaurant. Has a typical hibachi that youll find everywhere and a bar. Prices are the usual high that you experience at a restaurant such as this.
