the best. what more can be said? its a corporate vision which depends on quality people, and this starbucks consistently has the best. kudos to local management for the upbeat staff morale; as for the clientele, ah well, college students are just plain the best people to hang out with. lots of studiousness, zero drunkenness: its what we townsfolk have always dreamed uconn could and should be. as an aside, i should mention the lopsided girls to boys ratio, which i think may be downstream the positive studiousness and negative drunkenness factors, eg, perhaps womens studying and drinking schedules somehow favor starbucks attendance. is this possible? if not, what drives the disproportionate local pretty girl preponderance --- something as simple as unequal enrollment, or perhaps some enigmatic mosaic, with men tending towards athletics, television and hang-overs contrasting to womens priority for public visibility, ambulatory geographic dispersion, the appearance of scholarly activity, and a damn fine reliable cup of coffee. in a final aside, im at work on magical billion dollar app with which these laggard non-starbucks attending men can get themselves the hell out of their dorm rooms to strategically mingle at these anomalous female-saturated hotspots in order to further along the noble effort to perpetuate the human species, long may it reign.

My husband and I are thoroughly disgusted with this location. We have visited this store and have been completely disappointed with our expensive coffees. If you cant hire someone who knows how to make coffee, then they are not the "Barista" you portray. Keep those people away from the machines and make sure the people making coffee actually care about what they produce. We ordered two, venti caramel macchiato coffees and had to return them twice because they tasted like warmed, watered down milk. We left without a coffee because we were so disgusted....It took us longer to figure out that an eggnog latte isnt really eggnog, its half milk and half eggnog. No one told us this, we had to see a "Barista" cutting the eggnog in half with the milk and then inquire so that we could actually get what is advertised and what you pay for - AN EGGNOG LATTE! Why are we being cheated for a premium price? Isnt it false advertising? Shouldnt you get "eggnog" and if you dont like it full strength, ask for it to be watered down not the other way around?! Have some pride in your product and your customers and hire someone who cares and not someone who is just looking for a paycheck. And at UCONN?! REALLY?!

I am a Starbucks employee at a different location, full-time student at UConn, and I absolutely love Starbucks in general- the drinks, food, atmosphere, etc. However, this Starbucks is infamous for sub-par employees aside from a few veterans (and the difference is obvious). Most of the employees do not follow the same routines or standards as other stores, presumably to cut corners, and definitely dont give the Starbucks "experience" when it comes to conflict resolution. Most of the baristas are there to have a part-time job in college and have some spending money to party with their friends. They do not represent the typical Stabucks employee that truly care for what they do, and isnt necessarily a part-time terminal gig for them. Its just a different set-up being on a college campus, nothing different than what you may expect at Dunkin Donuts though. The store itself is lovely after the recent renovations and worth the stay. I would say, if you want your usual drink or a quick cup of coffee, dont refrain from this location. Although, if youre expecting a stellar Starbucks experience, you may or may not be disappointed.

This is the worst Starbucks Ive ever visited. I went on a Saturday night at 10:30pm. There was another woman waiting outside, and we were trying to gain access because they close at 11pm. When there were four different customers waiting and knocking on the door, a man inside waived us away and went back to cleaning without even opening the door to say they were closed- which they shouldnt have been. Ive also gone there when a barista was talking to a girl at the counter (who she clearly knew) the entire time she was making drinks. She wouldnt say what drinks they were, or who they were for- she just let them pile up on the counter while customer stood around wondering if it was for them. Then, she would stop making drinks to talk to her pal with customers waiting. I know theyre college kids, but its a job!!

Great place to sit and study (especially since its in a college campus). The best part are the baristas who are super friendly and are always there to make sure your drink order is right. Ive visited a lot of Starbucks but this one is easily the best Ive ever been to.

The owner of storrs commons adopted an asinine ticketing and towing policy, and because of that I nearly had my car towed while inside the establishment. Will not be visiting again until it is returned to the policy that was in place last year.

Usual Starbucks experience, fairly busy and especially so during holidays; despite that, they seem to be decently quick fulfilling orders. Still probably a good idea to use their app to pre-order (which I havent tried yet).
