I think this is the first time Ive written any type of review. Rather then write a lengthy review it can be summed up as follows: Terrible service Happy hour mini-lobster rolls were insultingly small Terrible service It took 20 minutes for our happy hour beer to be brought to our table (ordered 3 times). It took 15 minutes to have my card returned after paying. We were 1 or 3 groups outside. I literally watched the waitress eat behind the bar instead of bring our food and drinks. happy hour mini lobster rolls are not the same as the full menu mini lobster rolls. Think 1.5 inches in length... Will never go back and will most definitely never recommended to anyone I know (friend or foe).

Staffs are friendly, the environment is great. Came here for happy hour, price is reasonable but the lobster roll was sadly small for $3.00. Ill highly recommend fresh oyster, which is $1.00 special during happy hour. Have to be patience with your orders though theres looooooong wait for the oysters. Beer is 2.00 and I liked how its light but gives fresh taste. Tuna tartar didnt have much taste, wish the cook can add more spice like extra wasabi. Grilled octopus with potato was delicious, its crunchy outside but soft when you chew. Wish they make mini bites like steak and lobster rolls little bigger. Overall, I enjoyed this restaurant.

The service was mediocre at best and the food was just ok. While we waited for our small plates, which happened to arrive at the same time as our entrees, we witnessed many items get returned to the kitchen from other tables. And when your server comes and spills water all over the table and menu, one would think she would come back and wipe it up...but I went to the bar to grab napkins. To do it myself. But at least when she delivered and spilled my beer, she utilized the bar naps I had previously used. So we had that going for us.

I really want to love this place but it just falls short. Ive been 3 times, first and second concepts - its decent - but if "Lobster" is in the name of your restaurant, your lobster should be cooked perfectly. Each time Ive been, the tail meat in their lobster roll has been tough and hard to chew. They have their wait staff rant and rave about the homemade tator tots (which admittedly are great) but I think they should focus on mastering their staple dish before worrying so much about tator tots.

$18 for an appetizer sized lobster roll. 19 for small salad and 4oz of lobster. It tastes good but it is also a ripoff and not worth the trip. Heck Dolce Cubano had a full size lunch worthy lobster roll for $18. Even Mom said Boothbay was hardly worth bothering with. Go Stamford. Not sure what the owners were thinking. If you want a Maine lobster shack experience you dont stick it in a building with one of the most expensive rents in town. What a waste.
