I was very excited to see Korea Spoon pop up in the old fruit store that I pass all the time on Jerusalem avenue. I didnt go to that store much due to the prices where there were other stores with better deals. The split the store 60/40 and now it serves authentic Korean food minus the BBQ. The attention my family received when we came in was beautiful and heartwarming. We were treated like family and met Miss Christie who took our order and made sure we were going to be satisfied. My mother in law and wife were there a week prior when they first opened and laid the ground work for my initial visit with my kids. The food was amazing. I have had kore food in the past and this was simply the nest I have had in a long while. The scallion pancake was delicious and miss christie gave us small trays with different kim chi and pickled sides. I enjoyed them all but the potato salad was my favorite. I ordered the bulgogi plate and my wife ordered the Spicy Squid Bibimbop which was done perfectly. My kids had the ramen soup and the Gim bop, which is a sushi type roll. Mind you my kids are not picky and always try what we recommend. My 6 year old loved her roll and the ramen was a hit. Dont expect lavish decorations and private ambience for your meal. You order your food and are given a number. Find a place to sit and when it is ready someone will bring it to the table. Be advised, it can get pretty busy and the tables fill up, especially on the weekends. You may have to wait for a spot to open up or a nice customer to make some room to sit for you. If you cannot handle that then maybe order by phone and pick up. We happen to like the atmosphere and the interaction with the fellow customers and staff. The food is done with love and care. It really shows with the way it is prepared and the attention the staff brings to the customer. I am originally from the city (Brooklyn) and have seen the impatient customer which is typical of Nassau county that want things right away. This food takes a little bit and if you are in a hurry then maybe you should visit when you arent rushed for time. I love it there and its a little bit of Korean comfort food in North Bellmore.

Stopped there last night because I saw the grocery next door and needed some ingredients for dinner but I ended up ordering two pork bibimbap and scallion pancakes. THEY. WERE. AMAZING! The portion size was so generous and it came with miso soup and rice. The owner also threw in a sample of some other noodles, so nice. Additionally, the scallion pancakes had whole pieces of scallion and peppers and they were extremely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. I should also mention that everything was packed very professionally and there were no spills after my short ride home. Would DEFINITELY recommend, the inside could use a little sprucing up, but dont be fooled, this is a must try!

This place was amazing. There are few to no Korean restaurants in Nassau County where I live and I was pleasantly surprised to see this place open up. I ordered the scallion pancake appetizer and the spicy pork and both were delicious and amazing and priced so reasonably. The portions were great and the service was friendly and helpful. The complimentary soup and noodles before my main course came out were delectable and the side dishes that came with my spicy pork were delicious and unique. This place blew away my already very high expectations due to all the great reviews. I will be returning weekly for sure. Highly recommend.

Im korean and i will say this food is authentic and delicious. Dont go there for decor. Great prices, clean, great food is what you get. Taste is on point for everything. We had the sweet Ginger and spicy garlic chili Wing combo. Amazing. They offer spicy pork on the bibimbap as well as the normal bulgogi. It was fantastic. The bulgogi rice rolls - wonderful. If they can keep this up, they will have many return customers.

Having lived in Flushing for the past few years, this place is a gem in Long Island I had the spicy pork, the same dish that Ive probably had all over Flushing, Northern Boulevard that is, and it was the best one so far. The portion was more than generous enough for two, But I ate the whole thing anyway. They were very generous with the kimchi when I ask for more. I have to go back and try some different dishes.

The food is awesome here. Its run by two very friendly couples. It may even be better than some places in flushing if I had to be honest! So happy they have a Korean restaurant that isnt overpriced and out here on the island! They also give a lot of bonchon to start with! I am easily going to become a regular here!
