Where to start... I guess the fact that they server fish and chips with a literal side of potato chips. Okay, I guess thats fine, but a little heads up would have been nice. My dinner companions ordered the saddest looking chicken and waffles any of us had ever seen: what appeared to be a frozen waffle with chicken sticks from a box. Beyond the food, Center Street Social features a clueless waitstaff (and one particular bartender) who have clearly not been trained well by management about what they serve both on the menu and at the bar. I will say one nice thing: The pretzel appetizer is really good, like impressively so when you consider everything else. So... theyve got that going for them at least.

Had food here once and it was pretty good, although you may have trouble finding something you like. They have a lot of unique menu items which are questionable, and dont offer standard alternatives. What made me so unhappy was my second visit for brunch. We had a large party of 8 which we waited at least 30 minutes for, and that was WITH a reservation. When we were finally seated, we were promptly kicked out of the restaurant for having one person in our party that was under 21. They wouldnt even serve us food. There was absolutely no indication that we would not be served if there was someone under 21, on the website or when I called to make the reservation. They wont be getting my business again.

Pulled from my seat by the bartender to sit in the middle of bar then a man gave me a lap dance with no consent to which people threw dollar bills and the bartenders laughed while recording the whole humiliating thing on their cell phones .. walking away asking for a drink they cut me off and kicked me out for no reason I was not drunk and the man got to stay screw center street . Even if I WAS allowed back , never again

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Today marked the 5th time Ive been here with my wife and this time for brunch. Ive yet to be disappointed with a single meal here. If you are looking for a fun environment, food with an upscale and creative twist and great service then this is your spot. Parking is a bit of a hassle but well worth a few trips around the block.

The company I work for (on the west coast) has a headquarters near here, so Im not here often, but this is my second visit this year. Great experience both times. Theres a guy whos curated my beer experience both times now who is awesome and expands my boundaries. The chicken and waffles is awesome, as is the Monstah Lobstah sandwich. Definitely recommended.

Downtown Shelton is seedy, not that I mind. Social is one of several cool spots in the neighborhood. The crowd is young professional types and families, too. The house salad was swimming in dressing, but the beer battered onion rings and black-and-blue burger were sublime. Theres even a Czech social club next door.

Excellent food. That is the biggest advantage Center Street has over other local bars that serve food. The atmosphere is more bat scene like but thats not a bad thing. My Wife and I like to go at least once a month for dinner. BTW their burgers are delicious and Huge.

They asked a group of 17 year olds to leave after they asked to see their licenses. None had ordered alcohol. I believe this is illegal. I do not recommend you visit for this reason alone. What else do they do that is rude, if not illegal?

Great atmosphere, shaky wait staff. Im not sure it was entirely their fault. Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged, but once they realized their mistake I got my first beer on the house. Fish tacos were good and I enjoyed the unique menu.

Great place to go with friends to hang out. Gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. They have great happy hour specials and trivia night on Monday. And they have a great deal on all you can drink mimosas on Sundays from 11-3!

Food was good but dont arrive more than 10 minutes late they will give away your table. Also GM was very pushy to get people in and out. She bribed us with shots to get up and leave and then never even gave them to us.
