Very nice place to enjoy a river view. Things you should know before going: its cash only (they do have an ATM), BYOB, they are dog friendly, and there are no restrooms (there are port-a-potties on the ferry parking lot next door, but no where to wash your hands). That said. . .the hamburger was good. The chili dog, onion rings, and potato salad were ok. The "cole slaw" seemed to be shredded cabbage with a mayo base (no seasoning, carrots, relish, etc.). The food is nothing special, but we will likely go back again.

This place was a nice surprise! Our party was looking for a place to grab a quick bite and stumbled upon this awesomeness. The setting is really nice and the food is good. Service was nice. We had the kielbasa melt which was amazing and the Fish Po Boy which was a little bit too sweet for our taste but it was still good. The sides were delicious too. Really good onion rings and potato salad . Definitely worth checking out

Great food in a great area, but severs and kitchen can not keep up with orders so food comes out slow, servers come off as very rude because of stress, there is no to go area and we had to wait a long time for a hot dog to go and were kicked off the main porch and had to stand in the parking lot for a half an hour because there was no room. Hesitant to go back on a weekend or during busy hours

Very low key place, but dont let that fool you. The menu, though seemingly limited, is excellent. My wife and I like to come down here in the evenings on the weekends to enjoy dinner on the rivers edge. Its BYOB, as far as thats concerned. The lobster grilled cheese is excellent, as is the Po Boy fish sandwich. Excellent service.

Nice scenic location. Shad Restaurant has gotten a bit pricey $22.00 for a 7 oz lobster roll (was luke warm when served). $12.50 for fish & chips (two relatively small pieces of cod) but they more than made up on the good sized portion of onion rings. Very busy but worth the wait for quality of food, fresh!!!

I had the lobster funky melt (Lobster grilled cheese) and it was amazing!! The deserts (homemade) were delicious as well. The view was serene. Perfect place for lunch. Mint tea was delicious. Our waitress, Christina, was friendly and helpful with suggestions. PS....cash only!!! But they have an ATM onsite.

Chowder was cold and thick like from the can, lobster roll was over cooked almost tasted like frozen lobster, good thing were the onion rings and sweet potato fries and waitress was very nice, but also took long to get our food and it wasnt busy for it to take so long! Will not be returning!!

What a delightful meal my husband & I had there. We took our bikes over from South Glastonbury. So thankful they were open between lunch & dinner-that is our favorite time to eat. Fish PO-boy & lobster salad were delicious. Fabulous service too. Thank you!!!

Fun place to go for casual outdoor dining, with a view of the Connecticut river. The food was pretty good. The public bathrooms are across the parking lot which made it just a little inconvenient while I was there with my young kids.

I just happened upon this restaurant on the way home from my holiday weekend. The staff was really friendly, the Lobster Roll, delicious and the view of the river was beautiful. Theyre pet friendly too so they get 5 stars for sure.

Its a nice day f for lunch and dinner I recommend this place, anybody who wants a nice restaurants on the water. Their menu is amazingly very good, Perfect Blend of spices to the light palette.

Such great food had a chicken sandwich to go, amazing! was a little wait but worth it! very fresh lettuce and chcicken love it, was tender chicken and just amazing food, fries were perfect to!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, PLEASE DONT COME HERE. I got the lobster roll and it was disgusting. Food took forever to come, waitress was VERY rude, and ridiculous prices!!!

BYOB and so chill! Crab burger ROCKED and they used an amazing homemade dressing (balsamic) on a large plate of really fresh greens. Great for a quick & yummy bite!
