Up until this year I loved coming here for food and sweets. What really hit the nail on the head for me never coming back ; came in last week for a quick peice of carrot cake with a friend. Your girl on the counter (larger, dark hair, winged eyeliner) was very snotty, took a very long time for us to get our cake, and to top it off after we cashed out we decided to play your claw machine for a minute. This girl literally shut the lights off on us and walked away laughing her petty little head off. This place has gone so down hill and I am very disappointed. Dont go hrte.

Who doesnt love a great diner? This place is exactly what you expect in a diner. Its fairly priced, quiet, and lots just like youd hope. Ive been in with large groups and small groups. The place is always consistent. Quick service, delicious food, and a consistently positive experience. Id highly recommend the breakfast food. Its what I always get. If you dont like breakfast then the menu has like 15 pages of items to choose from.

Great family dining. The waitress was very attentive and social. You can sit at a table or booth, either area was clean. The bathrooms were spotless. The paninnis was perfection and the pesto spot on. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the meal was hot out of the kitchen. The baklava is incredible. We live about an hour away and like to try new and different places to eat. We will be back, definitely worth the drive.

Food took almost 2 hours to come. People that came in way after us got their food and left. Bad and slow service, and our waitress forgot our order 3 times. When we were so annoyed we cancelled our order and asked for our bill for the drinks, she took about 5 minutes to get the bill and it wasnt even the right bill for our drinks.

Parthenon Diner – Old Saybrook, CT – 2/21/2016 We quite enjoy coming here. The service is always good and fast and the food is always decent. Today they had a slight mixup where they forgot to put the cheese and one of our omelettes but at the end of the day no biggie… Give them a try, I think you’ll like them…

My husband and I are regulars here but mostly for breakfast. The times that weve tried lunch and dinner have been great but sometimes inconsistent as far as getting the meal like you had it the first time. That could be due to different cooks but overall, we love this place. Good prices, laid back, and pretty good service.

Great diner, exactly what youre looking for when you head to a diner, we go mostly in the evenings with our young family and staff always recognize us and say hello, friendly place and food is consistently good, way heartier and healthier than chain restaurant, fair prices, deserts are really good.

Poor quality food and service. Plates and food were served cold. Nothing made to order. My sandwich was likely sitting there prepared 8am that morning until 9pm that night when I ordered it. "steamed" veggies had lost all color and were mush from severe over cooking.

Under new management. Wonderful service. Came with two choosy kids and they loved the fries and hamburgers.I had the chicken souvlaki platter which was great. Wonderful collection of fresh deserts. Highly recommend.

The food here is excellent! Had an open faced roast beef sandwich and gravy and it was the best I have had in a long time. Wife had the Monte Cristo she said it was almost as good as Bennigans (her favorite).

One of my favorite diners. They have great sandwiches and wraps. Ive never had a bad meal there. Very friendly atmosphere. Baked goods are so so though. Muffins were kind of dry. Overall great place to eat.

Traditional highway diner with an extensive menu....everything from eggs over easy to prime rib. The portions are large and the food is good. Perfect spot to grab a meal without going bankrupt.

Your spot to go get a BLT with your mom or something. Heck, thats all I go there for. The quality can be hit or miss though. Its a staple of the area and has been around for at least 25 years.

The prices are normal and you get what you pay for in terms of quality. The food isnt bad. We had breakfast there. Pancakes were good. Coffee was good. Eggs were good. Service was quite good.
