Quite a dirty establishment, but that has to be expected a bit for a place this old. I went with my parents while out on a day trip. My mother got the BLT, my dad got the Cheeseburger Platter, and i got the Open Face Roast. The BLT bread didnt seem to be toasted virtually at all, and there was no lettuce on the sandwich (kind of a given on a BLT), but thankfully there was plenty of bacon and it wasnt chewy. The cheeseburger platter was nothing to brag about, standard burger and fries. The "Open Face Roast" i got was a piece of beef (looked like a hamburg steak) cooked to well done (i wasnt asked how i wanted the meat cooked) over a couple pieces of white bread covered in a bit of gravy. It was OK but about 30% of the meat was pure fat, not even an iota of meat within that fat content. It could have been cut off before cooking. In addition there were some standard fries, and cole slaw. The cole claw was probably the best part of the meal. Ultra-crisp and fresh. Ultimately, a standard greasy spoon diner, but maybe a little bit worse than others ive been to of the same variety. The only redeeming factor was the waitress who was nice and courteous. Would eat again only if forced to, must be something a bit better close by.

15yrs of food service leads to have high standards. As far as diner food goes, the bacon burger I had was amazing and only $6.75 which included french fries, cole slaw and a pickle. The woman working was amazingly friendly and the food came out quickly. My friend and I were also the only people there. I didnt notice that we arrived about 30mins before closing. The historic nature of the place made for a great laid back feel, but there are some definite cons that come with maintaining the polished look corporate america has given us. After writing all of this, I have moved from four stars to the five you see. Just check the place out!

It doesnt matter how good the food is if the waitress wont take your order. It took the tattooed waitress 8 minutes before she would even acknowledge us despite there being merely 5 customers. Including us! And the other 3 were eating. It took her another 6 minutes to get coffee. By that time we had already decided to leave after the coffee. We drove down the road to Jakes and had a nice breakfast. Besides, Jakes was much cleaner and the waitress didnt look like a heroin addict.

This place was pretty good. I stopped here on my way back from a trip I took to Restful Paws in Holland, MA. Im a big breakfast food guy so this place was right up my alley! Prices were affordable, pretty good sized portions too. After a long night of traveling, Some delicious pancakes, eggs, scrambled eggs and bacon was just what I needed to feel re-energized for my 5 hours of driving back home.

I go there often for there Breakfast Club, it is excellent and very well worth the price. Its the best deal anywhere. Even the cook Karl / owner gives the guests some entertainment . If you go alone you never feel that way, it reminds me of that show cheers, from the eightys :) after just a few visits you feel like you have known these people forever, its a great feeling.
