I love sampling Chinese buffets and this one is pretty darn good. There is a nice selection and the food is usually hot and fresh Although once I went there about an hour from closing and the food was not but I understand why. I bring this up as a point because I have read other reviewers leaving perhaps unfair negative review of other buffet places when they should adhere to the golden buffet rule to never go to any buffet close to closing. What I like about this is the grill and the sushi which they roll fresh. I would have several plates of the bbq pork and bbq chicken from the grill. Its so good. Another plus is that they offer dumplings and dim sum - not always found at other Chinese buffets. The other stuff is pretty standard fair with a nice mix of of American and Asian cuisine and of good quality. My preference for the boneless ribs is that they cook it more because I like it well done. It caramelizes the sauce onto the pork making it tastier in my opinion. As this is my personal preference and a minor point it should not deter you from making your own conclusions The desert selection is ample with hard ice cream (I dont like the soft serve that other places offer) and a nice selection of cakes, fruits and jello. The wait staff is quick to pick up your plates as you go back for more and soda refills are frequent. Pricing for lunch and dinner are reasonable - a little more than another Chinese buffet in Danbury but not out of line because they offer so much more. I frequent this buffet on my diet cheat days which says a lot since I want the most for my food intake when I allow myself to eat. You should definitely consider Royal Buffet! (sorry - this review was written stream of consciousness over a few hours)

What I still dont understand is where my food is. I sat down at the Royal Buffet New Milford CT and ordered a glass of warm cider, and the roast duck. I swear to christ I sat in that booth for goshdarn near 4 hours waiting for my food. The "waitress" brought me a glass of water (refreshing, Ill admit but wheres my cider :) but I never saw her again, until she asked me to leave so they could open the table to the next guests. I was so disgusted that I left a trail of ketchup leading out to my 2005 red toyota, and have decided that Red Robin is a much better alternative. Thanks for nothing "Royal" Buffet!

First the good: food was fantastic, staff was prompt, selection was great, and restaurant was clean. Probably the best Chinese buffet Ive been to. The bad: price. They have a tiered pricing system and for our visit, a Sunday lunch was treated as a weekend dinner. Sodas are not included as is normal at buffet restaurants. 2 adults and 2 kids came to $66 before tip... For lunch! Go on a weekday lunch when prices are much better.

Ok, so I have been to buffets with sushi before, but this one had some fresh nigiri and some more exotic rolls than Ive seen at other buffets and it was very fresh. Plus they had stuffed clams, stuffed shrip, stuffed mushrooms, seafood biscuit and even fried calamari. This was an incredible deal for $8.50 lunch.

This place is instant diarrhea. My wife went here 4 months ago without me and said it was terrible l didnt believe here because it had good reviews so we went again and it instantly made me feel sick. I recommend staying away from this place. Also overpriced for the crappy quality.

The hot and sour soup was very good.. So were the dumplings but the coconut shrimp was mediocre, and so were the crab Rangoon.. And other dishes.. Cake was good..
