My familys experience at this restaurant was absolutely awful. We had a party of 11 for a birthday celebration and they had us wait 25 minutes which was not at all a problem for us. Then we were finally called to be seated, but they had two separate tables set, so we couldnt sit together. The point of a family dinner is to congregate together, and talk as a family. We asked for accomadations and they refused. We were even open to compromise, offering to sit across from each other with a space in between. They again refused, saying they had a party of 8 waiting and they didnt want to sit them further back. We then asked if we could speak with a manager. When she arrived, she was incredibly rude. She was raising her voice and proceeded to say that "This is the best we can do so if you dont like it we have guests waiting outside". We even made it a point to reiterate the fact that they were turning away a party of 11 for a party of 8. The manager shrugged and continued to be rude in her tone and body language. The Hudson Buffet will never be getting my business again. I strongly recommend you do not dine here, as I would not want anyone else to endure such a terrible experience.

Wide selection of dishes to choose from. We went specifically for the seafood, it was ok... not like anything from the seafood market , but ok. Have a nice carve yourself station of roast beef, ham, pork and chicken, but no gravies. The typical selection of Asian foods... sweet and sour, noodles, rice, meats, vegs and soups. You can select your own meats and vegetables to be prepared in front of your eyes at the grill... add your own spices or dressing. Also, mashed potatoes, veggies breads. Large selection of fruits and desserts including soft serve ice cream . The staff is very quick to clear away your used plates. Arrive hungry and stay for an hour or so. Good place for children who are picky eaters. .. so many choices.

This place has gone down hill. Hadnt eaten there in over a year because it was just become a dirty place and the food was greasy. Decided to try it again last night. Food was horrible. All the chicken dishes tasted the same, the crab legs had absolutely no taste at all, as if they were in boiling dishwater for hours on end. The floors were dirty, they had to give us all silverware replacements because they were dirty and the bathrooms were like walking into a wet high school locker room. Disgusting. Wife and I spent the night making several trips to the bathroom because we just felt ill after our meals. Will never go back .

OMG The worst food ever even under new management. I caught them trying to overcharge my and when they were confronted and asked for a copy of the the actual receipt it become a different story. Long and behold as a fast thinker I took a picture with my phone and have now sent this information to the Attorney General office...They attempted to charge me twice for a child and for two more drinks than we had ordered. When I approached the counter to ask about the charges and requested a duplicate hand written receipt the young lady became very nervous and divert her best to divert me and scoot me out the door.

I was worried after seeing all of the negative reviews, but our options were limited so we ended up going here to eat. I dont know what the deal is with all of the one star reviews, so let me say that the food is fine and the place was clearly popular. The selection was a little limited compared to much bigger buffets, but they still had all of the standard options youd expect, plus sushi. The staff were not rude, and the atmosphere definitely didnt feel disgusting, so I dont know what some of the other people here are talking about.

So Im from Florida and obviously NY Chinese food is better, but I dont see what all the debate is about here. For $12.75 there was fresh sushi, crab legs, spare ribs, various kinds of chicken, and slice-your-own pork/beef/turkey. If someone had an "all you can eat turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes" buffet for $12.75 people would be raving about it. This place had that AND a whole chinese/sushi/desert food buffet. WTF, haters? Youre asking a lot for your $13. Everything was C-B+ quality. Very satisfied.

The place is in an accessible location, has plenty of parking, and the staff is polite and quick to respond to any inquiries or needs. The food is kept replenished frequently and is fresh and warm (the dishes that are intended to be warm that is!) The prices especially for lunch are very reasonable and the drinks have free refills. The selection is pretty extensive and some things will be prepared for you by request. There are labels on everything. It is a clean and relatively quiet atmosphere.

I would have to say that I am a Chinese buffet aficionado. I eat at them quite frequently due to their value and the fact that I enjoy being able to pick mostly vegetables and a little seafood from a buffet. This particular Buffet was well above average I would give it a good solid B to B+. it was an excellent value and the food was hot, tasty and of high quality. Do not believe the poor reviews of this establishment as they not in any way representative of the quality of this restaurant.

We used to go here, and the food was always fresh and delicious. The last two times that we tried to go here over a months span, when you walk in, it smells like moth balls. It is such a strong smell when you walk in the door it made me sick to my stomach. We ended up walking out before getting anything to eat. When you enter a restaurant, you want to smell delicious food, not moth balls. What a disappointment. Fix the smell, and well come back!

I went to Hudson Buffet for the first time this week. I wasnt sure what the buffet had on it, so my husband and I asked to take a look before being seated. Many of the items under the lights had dried out and many more looked greasy, old or covered with thick sauces that looked like they came out of a can or jar, rather than from a kitchen. The restaurant mostly smelled like grease. I cant tell you how the food tasted because we left.

I am from the Bronx and i have to admit this place is pretty awesome. I dont know why would it get bad reviews. And these 5 star ratings are not all, wmplyees as mentioned by some dumb people because im not one of them. There is so much food and dererts to choose from. Crab legs are pretty big if you love sea food plus other options. The price is very low and the staff are fast. Would i recommend?, yesss

I just ate lunch at the buffet. Everything was extremely salty. I eat here regularly. Before the food wasnt overly salty. Something has changed. The peanut butter chicken was salty. The mussels were salty. Even the spinach casserole and apply pie were salty. Too much salt can ruin a good restaurant. I hope today was just an exception and everything will go back to the way it was.
