My boyfriend and I went on 3/4/17 for the first time. There was a 40 minute wait which was expected so we waited at the bar as directed. An hour later I checked with the host and she sat us immediately. Our waitress was Gabby and although she was very pleasant her lack of attention to detail cost us the wonderful experience we planned on having. We ordered an appetizer, two entrées, a side of fries, and a drink all at once since we had an hour at the bar to review the menu. She brought out the appetizer as my meal with the side of fries but thankfully got my boyfriends order right. She didnt come to check on us AT ALL until she brought the desert menu!! The entire time we kept thinking the steak would be out any minute but it never came, instead the desert menus came. I informed Gabby I never got my steak entree and my boyfriend never got his drink. After she brought the steak I ended up eatting ALONE because my boyfriend had been done about 15 minutes before my food got there. She never once apologized for the inconvenience. We moved on and ordered desert and while waiting for desert she finally brought out his drink! A drink we ordered when she first introduced herself as our waitress....a drink we even forgot we ordered because of the service we had thus far. Again she was pleasant but it was awful customer service. We got the bill and there was no price reductions for anything. I would have been a bit more content if she was apologetic or reduced the bill by $10. At least remove the drink that came out an hour late! Food was good but the customer service has opportunities. From the host never coming to get us at the bar after an hour to our waitress not executing attention to detail. All in all we paid $22ish at the bar and $81ish for dinner. I would never go back or recommend the restaurant.

Been to the old location and now went to their new one for the first time. The new location is beautiful and completely renovated with an awesome bar and indoor dining area along with patio. There appears to be an outdoor bar that operates on weekends. Beautiful views of the neighborhood filled with New England beachfront colonials and Spanish style stucco homes. Has heaters outside for cooler nights. Service was prompt and courteous. Has a large selection of cocktails, wines, and spirits with a range of prices for every budget. House sangria is great and available by the glass or carafe. Food selection is a fusion of Spanish and French cuisine with a few other Mediterranean items. Prices are expensive but on par with other local tapas bars such as Barcelona. Portions are a little larger here and found myself more than full after two menu choices. Taste and quality of food is hit or miss depending on the items, but generally very good. This can be subjective though and for me is the only reason I deducted a star. Great addition to the neighborhood and I hope its here to stay. Cant wait to try brunch!

It was a strange experience. We came during happy hour but we were the only clients in the whole restaurant. Menu seemed interesting and we ended up ordering "French burger" ( pictured ) and medium-rare steak. After taking our order the waitress disappeared until food came out, which took a good 25 minutes. We drank our waters and ran out of things to do. When the food came out, my burger arrived on a bed of French fries where the menu said it was served with grilled vegetables (??). It was also covered in peppercorns. Taste was good. The server disappeared again and we had to literally go look for her after 20 minutes to pay the bill. Not sure if I will return

The food was pretty average-good, my wife ordered a kale salad and it was actually 1/4 kale and 3:4 arugula, which was not mentioned in the description of the salad and it also was missing walnuts, but overall the food was a bit overpriced. What really stuck out though, was the very poor service. The place was not busy at all, this was at lunch time and the place was about 1/4 full. We could visually see that our waiter was not busy at all, but he was never checking on us to see how we were or was attentive at all. The place was ok, but definitely not worthy of a 4.8 rating it had.

Former Chef- Pretty good Tapas. Definately a fun place to go to eat. A nice addition to that neighborhood. Only real bone of contention is that they serve frozen French fries instead of fresh made "bistro fries". How can you send all that money to build and operate a gorgeous place like that and serve your guests frozen French fries. It screams of laziness, period. Step up your fry-game and youre garaunteed to get better ratings. It is a bistro after all!

Decor: B, Atmosphere: B+, Food: C+, Service: B, just try the Meatballs or Empanadas and then compare them to even the most ordinary of Restaurants. If youre not less than impressed then you really need to get out more, seriously. All show, did not deliver on what I anticipated to be an exceptional meal, especially for the prices. Great place for Beer and Martinis on the Deck though.. Enjoy!

This place is a "MOST VISIT" on a regular basis, the vibe the staff the food THE BEST! Ive been to Spain, Europe and this place takes me back there everytime. Its an escape, although in the middle of the most busiest road ever, when you walk into Village Bistro you are taken to a new world with the music the decor and vibe. Love this place if you couldnt tell. Thanks K

This location is deceiving: Its natural to be skeptical of a restaurant when you say, "Its across from Chilis right below the psychic." Nicely decorated interior. Pricey, yet delicious tapas. Good selection of beer and wine. Theyve offered Groupon/Living Social in the past, so check that out to save yourself a bottle of wine!

Very slow and disjointed device. Sat down at 7 and at 9:30 still waiting for a check after having finished our meal an hour earlier. Not sure if Jesus is new or overloaded or just inattentive. Disappointing..

Awkward service but tasty food. First sat inside at bar table but was too loud. Multiple servers came over but never knew which one was ours. Moved to quite table but still had long absence s from wait staff.
