Dont Go There ! I used t go there and have lunch, almost every day, it was OK , nothing special. But then after the owner told me they have gluten free pasta and bread, I decided to go there for dinner with my son, who can not have Dairy or wheat. We asked if he could have gluten free pasta and grilled shrimp with olive oil and garlic. ( How easy is that to make). After waiting a half an hour, here comes his gluten free pasta with non gluten free breaded shrimp. How dumb is that? So, we send it back. I get him a salad until they remake his meal. In the mean time I get my meal and have to wait another 45 minutes for his meal. Long story made short. He finally gets his meal and says it taste like butter is on the shrimp (NO DAIRY I SAID) So now he is afraid to eat it. Then they charged me for the whole meal. I called the owner over and finally he deducts my sons meal. Tells us to come bake another time and he will make sure it does not happen again. The next day we go back and order a really easy thing to make. A hamburger on a gluten free bun. He says sorry no gluten free buns, after he told me the day before the had them. OK a hamburger NO BUN, a vegetable with NO BUTTER, an onion slice and lettuce, and french fries. He gets a hamburger on a wheat bun, no lettuce no onion, no french fries. They charge me for everything with all of there mistakes. My son eats the hamburger with out the bun, but still has a allergic reaction because some of the bun was probably still stuck to the hamburger. I should sue them. This place is good for nothing. I would give it zero stars if I could. They should just serve beer to the locals and nothing else. Dont go there unless you want to be dissatisfied.

I am a granby resident in the perfect demographic for this pub (35 yr old male, business professional looking for a good bar I can call my second home) i make close to 200k...i am not saying this too brag, but too point out that I was treated like a college kid who wasnt worth a crap. I also know many people who like to go out at least once a week. I tell them all NOT to go to the brew house. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life at a bar. Three of us went to the bar when (stupid me) I had the nerve to ask for a bud light. You would have thought I killed somebody by the response from the bartender.....a female with an obvious chip on her shoulder....no bud light....."ok....can I have a vodka red bull?" The bartender snaps back "no we dont have that:..this is a brew pub" I then asked well what do you have? The bartender walked off mumbling under her breath that maybe we should leave since they didnt have what i liked. I then ask for just for a seltzer and me and my three friends went and talked in the corner of the bar, which was extremely noisy. We were probably the quietest people in there, talking about an up coming trip we were all going on. While talking with each other we were approached by a blonde "manager" and were asked to leave. I was taken back....and told her she must be mistaken....we have been here in the corner and havent done anything. She asked me to please leave again. I will never ever go back again. I tell everyone I talk with to never go there. Hey Cambridge House - Next time hire a professional bartender not some idiot bartender who lost you multiple patrons...we now have to go to Simsbury to Abigails up stairs, we are way better off.

Wed given up on the CHBPG years ago due to its mediocre food and the deafening noise level within. The final straw was one time we went in and the smell of mold/mildew drove us away for years. A friend told me that things had gotten better under new management and that we should try you out again. I am pleased to report that last night my wife and I returned to the CBH in Granby and we were pleasantly surprised. The smell was gone. Otherwise the place remains solidly dismal. The rolls we were brought seemed to have been heated in a microwave just before being brought out, and quickly petrified into hard rocks. My burger was dry and over cooked, which couldnt hide the fact that it was devoid of seasoning and made from low quality meat. My fries were an undercooked soggy mess. My wifes chicken sandwich seemed to also have been cooked in a microwave. It may have been fried at one time, but it was surely nuked before being dumped on our table. And they still havent done anything beyond the entirely ineffective ceiling treatments to control the noise in the dining room. It seems that people sitting several tables away are screaming, and perhaps they are, trying to be heard over all the other loud, echoing conversations. My Oktoberfest was servicable, though not enjoyable given the environment in which it was consumed. To ask the prices that they do in Granby for microwaved & overcooked, under-seasoned food is delusional. CHBPG survives only due to the lack of any real competition. Transfer this business to any market with actual competitors and it would be closed within 3 months.

Always loved this bar in the old days - the atmosphere is great - but the food has gone way downhill. My husbands fried chicken sandwich looked pretty good but my chicken quesadilla was awful - the "grilled chicken" had no flavor it was a plain chicken breast cooked and cut up and thrown in the quesadilla - no flavor and chicken didnt have a grilled taste at all. The salsa is also much worse - not really salsa a bunch of chopped up onions and tomatoes with no liquid. This was always one of my favorite things to get before but now its simply awful. Hope they can revamp their food and make it good again because this place is a great spot.

Very disappointed in the service...We had to get up and get our own waters twice! Our sour cream fell on the floor and she never came back with a new one. The sign walking in said $4.50 wings DAILY SPECIAL I was charge $7 when I ordered my food I pointed to the sign and said I wanted the wing special when I got the bill she argued with me and said it doesnt start till 4! Then why didnt you tell me that when I ordered! !! Thanks for the horrible service I will make sure I tell all my friends and family!

Great place for good beer and food. All beers are home brews. If your looking for a Bud, you wont find any there...Jenny, Vichi, Michelle and Dawn will make sure youll have fun if you sit at the bar. Staff is always friendly and smiling. The deck is nice if you want to have fun in the sun. Weekends usually have a band. If your out of town and looking for a friendly brewhouse check it out.

Awesome Selection of Craft Beers. Very friendly bartender. Nice ambiance. Clean. Great menu selection. The Brewer Penne with andouille sausage, chicken breast with penne pasta in white cream sauce was fantastic. Garlic toast would have been a nice addition. The Tomato Florentine pizza was very good. Tons of leftovers for one. Looking to repeat. Easy access and ample parking.
