Ive been here enough times now over the past 7 months that I feel that I can make an actual review. The best thing about this place is the staff. Theyre always friendly and always greet you with a smile even when theyre busy. on a couple of visits there the bartender Emily and the server Kate I think her name was were above reproach. The place is clean and you could sit basically wherever you want to thats open. The chairs are very tall which is good for someone the six-foot-five like I am, although At the bar Im not sure why brass foot rests do not go all the way around the bar but break off sporadically. They do have much lower sitting in couch like areas the Lays around while you eat thats just not for me but it is a little bit for everybody I guess . The problem is with some of the management. I read other reviews on here about them running out of things. Well tonight it happened to me. They said they ran out of the Bavarian pretzels. Mind you this is on a Tuesday at 5:30 they are out of pretzels for the entire week! This is one of their most popular items and they run out. This is inexcusable in my opinion. This is like McDonalds running out of Big Macs or Subway out of grinder rolls. It shouldnt happen but as others have reviewed things like this happen on a regular basis. I put the square upon the Managements inability to control inventory. You certainly cannot blame the server and they have the unpleasant task of informing you that theyre all out of what you ordered and you have to make yet another selection after pouring over the huge menu in figuring what you wanted in the first place. Although the replacement apps I ordered were very good( bruschetta and a cheese quesadilla; half-price 2!) I really would have preferred the Bavarian pretzels, which are not half price for the special but theyre so good I really dont care. I can tell you right now though if they ever run out of those again Im going someplace else to eat that night. So basically the staff is four to five stars and the management is two to three stars. I say to them; lets try getting your act together guys shall we?

I love this place! I go as often as my schedule allows. Their burgers always hit the spot and are customizable. Appetizers are delicious; I think Ive tried more than half of them. Usually doesnt take long to get your food, though they can get pretty packed around happy hour. All the staff I have met are super friendly and remember you on repeat visits if you have the same server. Walk right in and sit where you like. I prefer to sit at the bar (whether I have company or not) because I like the liveliness, though the tables are nice and quiet and cozy when you want them. There are even some low couch style seating areas for very casual dining with friends or kids. I dont drink but my friends that do have always been happy with the many choices - and the tall pours. There are various promotions on prices or seasonal/temporary menu items. Location is in the mall right near one of the front entrances (Post Road side) so they have outdoor seating and its also close to parking. Bathrooms are modern and clean, with some interesting artwork.

Absolutely awful service. The bartender was in no rush to take our drink orders, its not even like she was busy either. The bar and restaurant were empty. After finally taking our drink orders, it took her another 15 minutes to get our food order even though she walked past us 20 times and saw our menus closed and ready to go. The food we orders ended up being a to-go order, but ending up taking over an hour to be served to us. The bartender picked up on our impatience and frustration and proceeded to give us attitude because of it. When we finally got our food, they completely forgot a whole flatbread and then gave me a box with lettuce and sauces for the chicken lettuce wraps, but NO chicken. Literally paid $10 for 3 pieces of lettuce. This one experience has ruined Bar Louie for us, my family and I will never step foot in here again.

I love their California chicken club. Ive gone here multiple times. The bar looks great. What annoys me however is that the last three times Ive gone my club has come without avocado and that is basically why I order it. The waiters should be trained to let you know beforehand if they are out, and find some way to compensate. Instead of just telling me that the kitchen is out of avocado and walking away. I know its just avocado but like I said its happened three times and its the only sandwich I order from there sooooooooo yeah three stars. Because at least the place looks nice and the waiters are ok

I ate there last night and had the beer battered crispy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was very greasy, the batter seemed to be overdone. The service was terrible, even though we sat right at the bar with the bartenders standing right there they just seemed to ignore us completely, Ive been hearing about bar Louie and seen it advertised in the CT post and figured Id finally try it. I regret it deeply and wished I could have went to Buffalo Wild Wings instead. At least I know Id get great food and not waste my money. I guarantee you this place wont be open long.

The girls working at the bar were so nice and were very attentive. Its the food that brings my rating down. It wasnt just cold (although they were quickly to apologize and then replace) dish that came out, but their style of nachos were like movie theater: right-out-of-the-bag chips with a not-great cheese sauce and what looked like microwaved chicken and beans on top. Burger was mediocre too. Bartender was apologetic and gave us a coupon off our next visit. Id maybe come back for drinks, but not the food.

I had to wait 10 minutes on one side of the bar no waiter and the bar wasnt really packed there were seats open I moved to the other side of the bar waiter 15 minutes after two bartenders walked by me 5 times until I said excuse me .... then the waiter finally cows they discontinued the drink I use to get they discontinued the appetizer I usually get and when we asked why the waiter just said its not longer a choice she basically brushed us off staff needs more training never again

The service is poor. Im not sure why the initial person who greeted me decided to roll eyes and walk away but maybe she is having a bad night. Her replacement Jessica was no better she chastised me for not telling her what I ordered after she made it and sat it in front of someone else. She advised me that I could have just told her that. Oh ok, Im sorry that you never greeted me and introduced yourself when you replaced the worlds greatest eye roll artist.

Waitstaff was exceptional and met all out needs! However, food was terrible. My wife chicken sandwich was undercooked, my boneless buffalo wings were so over cooked they were so inedible. Best meal was the Mac and cheese we got my three year old. The food rated as the worst food we have ever had. The wait time for our meal was 40 min, which is unacceptablefor what we ordered. We will never go back!
