Today was my second visit to Solun. Both times, the food and service were fabulous! The atmosphere is lovely with soft music playing that does not detract from conversing. Today, I ate outside on the patio with my daughter. We enjoyed 3 tapas: Seafood croquettes....really lovely, mussels, and a wild mushroom risotto that was glorious. I had a coconut mojito that was yummy, she had a pomegranate or maybe it was strawberry margarita which was good as well but we both thought the coconut mojito was really something special. We concluded the meal with the tres leche cake....the chef had drawn a beautiful flower with raspberry puree on it. What a glorious afternoon! I highly recommend this place. I will be celebrating all special occasions here from now on. They also have a lovely price fixed Sunday luncheon which I will have to try.

Have been going to Solun for years. It has a slightly upscale bar crowd. That leads to our only knock of the place which is being noisy. HOWEVER, you can go a little earlier or ask to be seated in the diningroom to the right of the entrance. It can be a great experience if you want more privacy and intimacy. You might be overlooked a bit but its worth it if you dont like a noisy restaurant or dont want to be up close and personal with the live entertainment. BTW, the food is usually excellent and creative. Drinks are higher end and theres a good wine selection. They are open late. One night I was returning from a road trip and arrived at 9:40 and was able to a drink and a fine meal before they closed. I was not rushed.

Edwin, the manager, was also our server, and he was extremely helpful and courteous and explained many menu items to us ahead of time. Happy and upbeat Spanish music contributed to a delightful ambience. Each menu item was presented with surprises and beautiful details. We ended with desserts and specialty coffees and the whole evening was relaxed and wonderful from start to finish.

Nice place but the food is not really Spanish from "Spain." More of a fusion of Latin American and faux "Spain Spanish" foods. For example, just a few, guacamole and chips is not Spanish, neither is tuna mango ceviche or Quinoa. So if you are looking for "real" foods from Spain, keep looking. You wont find Callos a la Madrilena or a mariscada here.

I have eaten at Solun many times. The food and service have always been fantastic and the owner is very friendly. They have a large, varied regular menu as well as great specials. All of their food is setup to easily share - both the Tappas (which are always shareable) and the main courses. Go with friends, order 2-3 Tappas at a time, and have fun!

The food was great, no doubt about it. The service was also good. The icing on the cake was at the end of your meal, your server brings you a wine glass overflowing with complimentary cotton candy. Yes, cotton candy. It was a surprising treat. We will definitely be going back there. Were already telling our friends about this place.

Went there on Saturday 9/17/16 and absolutely love it!! The service was great the food even better and they had a live Jazz band playing. Three ingredients for a fantastic dinner for me. Cant wait to go again so many choices for Tapas as well.
