So, you shouldnt review every restaurant on the same scale. You wouldnt judge a deliciously greasy breakfast counter against Jean Georges in Manhattan. Keeping that in mind, Three Amigos gets 5 stars because it is excellent at being exactly what it is supposed to be. Three Amigos is a taqueria that does not fail to satisfy. You dont expect to walk in there and sit down for a lengthy dinner outing - you either take your food to go or stay at one of the plain but adequate booths or high top tables to scarf down your mound of awesome. The quantity of food for the price beats the chain restaurants - the guac is not extra. On top of that, the quality is better as well - the rubbery, flavorless, boring Chiptole burritos are rendered irrelevant, and you pay less for more! On top of all of this is the staff, which in my opinion put much more love and care into the "crafting" of a burrito than anyone else. These burritos are not just slapped together. Once all of your ingredients are chosen, even distribution throughout the burrito is ensured by their process. Then, the seam is quickly seared on the skillet to make sure it does not fall apart in your hands, plus it adds some very nice heat. These are the sort of small touches that really satisfy. On only one occasion did the burrito not come out with such a high level of precision, and that was because the employee was new and training. On the very next visit, the same employee was producing burritos to Three Amigos high standards. Im eating probably my 30th burrito as a type this. Support a local business and not a chain - go give Three Amigos a shot. I live close by and highly recommend it.

First off, I thank my lucky stars this place is here. Having lived in San Diego for a few years and having the food there I need somewhere with reliable handheld burritos. I guess I had forgotten that most places in Connecticut think burritos are knife and fork food, but Ill tell you they are not! However I digress this place is amazing. The staff is always friendly and helpful and thw food is always good. They cooked the steak from scratch right in front of me which was awesome because theres nothing like freshly cooked steak. I wouldnt want rubbery hour old meat in my burrito and three amigos doesnt dissapoint. I will for sure come back again and again so long as they keep making quality authentic food!

I went to Moes and chipotle every week, since I learned about three amigos I havent gone back, same style more portions for your money, more fresh vegetable options, if you like spicy they have plenty of options including fresh jalapeño and if youre feeling adventurous even a ghost pepper sauce if not go with the multiple other mild sauces and anything in between. Most importantly in my opinion is the care and consistency they make every meal with, never had less than a 5 star experience. Tidbit, first time I went in I left a metal water bottle on a table and I wrote it off, but a week and a half later before I even get through the door its on the counter. Great people great food cant beat it

one word that dominates over other places like this ive been to (such as moes or chipotle...) and that is.... fresh. (of course authentic too, and they just started serving beer there too now!) ....but yeah, fresh makes ALL the difference, cant stress this enough. cilantro grows / gets picked off the plant for each order its used in, everything is prepped in containers ready to use for ur order and then the meat is cooked right there too WHEN U ORDER IT in ur own pan! (like one pan for each order, wow) not in a pre-made batch to b scooped from thats been left to keep "warm" in a tray... just amazingly good without breaking the bank. also very clean.

So excited for this place at the beginning, went a couple of times a week. Over time, quality of food really degraded and Im at the point where it is not worth it to go back. I liked the idea of being able to order exactly what and how much you want, like a Subway, but the food is no longer fresh and the overall presentation behind the counter is pretty gross. To their credit, though, service is always awesome and cheerful. At this point I would take Quiznos back... if they used local and fresh produce and good meats, I would go here every other day, if not even every day for lunch.

This might be my first review, we were that pleased. This is a Chipotle/Q doba/Moes type of restaurant, but much fresher and cleaner. Want green peppers on your taco? They cut one open and dice it right there. Cilantro for your quesadilla? They pull it off a bunch standing by. Also, The food prep area was spotless. Everything had great flavor. Its simple food done exceptionally well, and at the same price or less than youd pay at a similar type of restaurant. Dont hesitate to try.

This place is amazing, the staff were very pleasant and patient and the food was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and on display, any questions were answered kindly it was by far a great experience. I had a chorizo burrito and my girlfriend had a chicken quesadilla, both were tasty. The price was pretty standard and you get chips and salsa with your order. Will definitely be going back when were in the area.

Always knew it was here and one day decided to try it. What a great decision that was! One of the first things that impressed me was the food presentation. I only gave it 4 stars due to the lack of salsa options and japelanos.... youre a mexican restuarant. Salsa has too options, really hott and mild and they are very watery. Otherwise i love this place

Consistently excellent. I come here about once a week and have never had a bad meal. The people working are always very helpful and they never say no to any requests. Veggies are always fresh, they even chop up some right in front of you. I would recommend the steak or chorizo, they cook it fresh while you wait.

Best tacos around for my money. All your traditional tex-mex favorites are well represented here. All menu items come with your choice of protein and fillings, and are FRESHLY prepared and brought to your table. Outstanding execution. The recently added liquor license is a nice bonus.

Amazing tacos/burritos/quesadillas etc with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. The spice levels ranges from nonexistent to holy cow! The fact that they are inexpensive is just icing on an otherwise impressive cake. This place functions similarly to Chipotle or Moes.

Today was our first time here. As soon as you walk in, the smell makes your mouth water. The staff was very friendly, and I loved how the majority of ingredients are cut fresh in front of you. Hot, delicious, flavorful - this is definitely our new go-to lunch stop.

I think I would have been happier if when i ordered my nachos...I knew before that there would be a bunch of canned nacho cheese on them. :( I recently moved here from texas and no respectable nachos have canned cheese....you go to the movie theaters for that!
