Well the day car in the ambience of this small privately owned text Mex restaurant is incredible it fails to live up to the expectation of food that I had. Vegetarian chili was tasty but a little bit on the sweet side. Queso was below-average lacking that distinguishing flavor. The guacamole was refrigerated and really had no taste to it besides salt. Did tortilla chips and their fresh salsa on the other hand were fantastic. The chips were fresh they were seasoned with salt and pepper very lightly to add a good bold taste. I ordered a bean and cheese enchilada in red sauce with Mexican rice. The Mexican rice was closer to a cilantro white rice without any of the typical Mexican rice flavor and did not have any tomatoes in it either. While the red sauce on the enchilada was good the cheese felt like a mix that was bought from the grocery store instead of real Jack cheese. The bean enchilada would have been a better choice but even that on his own could not have saved this dish. That being said I imagine that this may be one of the better if not the best Tex Mex culinary options 75 miles up and down this corridor.

ECT works in a pinch but clearly has no intentions of making an effort to Mexicanize their food. Monterey Jack Cheese on or in everything...sad just plain sad! One trip to Southern California or Mexico would make their food 10 times as good! I am glad they classify the food as "Tex-Mex" though not many places do that on this coast. So for their honesty i give them 4 stars. I guess having lived in SoCal I was spoiled with real Mexican food and as far as East Coast Taco goes its really the only show in town. So the faux Mexican food market is theirs! More power to them...but if anyone has ever had authentic south of the border food then they know where I am coming from.

I just ate there today is sept 9 2016 Friday.food was terrible borderline gross.I sat inside and the place is disgusting.dirty tables and chairs.all the chairs are different like from peoples kitchens from a tag sale.dirty nasty benches all torn an ripped.wood trim throughout the place nasty dirty stains.makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like??probably the same.chicken taco was gross tasted like one week old chicken an didnt taste like chicken.cat fish taco looked gross and surely was disgusting.this place needs an overhaul..maybe chef Ramsey!!??Ill never go back in there again.

This is a great gym in Niantic near the shoreline. What a wonderful place to go to after a day at the beach, or stop by to pick up dinner on your way home from work. Theres seating available inside and many people choose to eat pear. Theres also the mainbrace package store next door where you can BYOB. The food is very good its a local Tex-Mex Style, with regular specials, theres Seafood specials like shrimp tacos and fish tacos, and they have a phenomenal pulled pork and brisket dinner thats very good.

My favorite restaurant. Gorditas are a must, the BBQ Pork and Slaw is perfection. Wings are also great, every flavor is worth trying. Good prices, casual and fun place to eat. Never had anything bad from the menu over the years Ive been coming here. Food is made fresh every time and the flavor is always consistent every visit. Staff is always friendly. Wish they had a second location closer to Hartford but I dont mind driving down to the shore to eat here.

My co-worker was born and raised in Mexico, so I was a little nervous stopping by here for lunch when we were on the road. We ordered our food, sat down, and started noshing on chips and salsa and she liked the salsa so we were off to a good start. Then we got our food. My co worker took one bite and said "Bo, this is really good". So, enough said really.

its completely american-style mex, but the restaurant is cool, the staff are friendly, and the food is good! 4 stars because some of the food, like others noted, can be a bit bland - had a burrito that was filled with mostly just rice - but things like the salad are yummy. would recommend. also, for those who care, the restaurant has a pokestop inside.

Dont go here expecting authentic mexican food, its more of a tex mex kinda place... that being said... the food is great, the staff is always friendly, ive already told a bunch of my staff and guests that stay at motel six about this place and everyone loves it! I suggest the jerk chicken burrito or the chicken taquitos those are my two favorites!

Food is always great and the prices are reasonable. Because of that, this place is always way too busy. Sometimes you will have to wait. Wait in line or wait to even get a call in to them. They are really starting to grow out of their small location, which is great for them. The staff is really friendly and the food selection is huge.

Stopped in for lunch with my sister. I got the chicken tacos and my sister ordered the steak fajita quesadilla. The chicken taco was a bit bland but the steak fajita quesadilla was muy sabrosa! (very delicious) Okay so its not "authentic" but who cares? Will be eating there again, try it out!

Pulled pork and brisket gorditas are worth fighting for. Seafood tacos rival those Ive had in SoCal & Mexico. Very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. A little light on the drink selection. Service time is about average but the quality more than makes amends for that.

This place. Is so good! Service is great. We are regulars now... Everything about it is awesome. Full of flavor... The blackened shrimp tacos are my wifes favorite and the burritos are all awesome. Our only complaint is they are closed on Mondays. Love this place.

The staff is friendly even under pressure because I will say that its gets busy in there but its worth the wait . I have ordered take out for them 3 times already and the food is not disappointing at all . Each order was just perfect. If I had the time to eat in , I would.

Just ate there today. Portion sizes were good. Salsa wasnt quite authentic restaurant style grade, but still pretty darn good, certainly a step up from anything you could buy at the store. Staff was friendly, place was clean, and the price was OK. Id go back.

I grew up in SOuthern California, and after eating many a mediocre taco there, I can honestly say that this place is that. What I liked is the service and the friendliness of the people working there, the food, not so much. 3 Stars because of the service.

Very friendly girl at the counter. I was not sure about what to order and she suggested about quesadillas with veggies..wonderful. my daughter got burrito she loved it too. Only reason i am giving only 4 stars is because their cheese naachos are burnt.

An extensive menu offering great options, even if it means that itll take you a while to figure out what you want (it all looks so good!). Fast service, amazing food, and decent prices. Definitely going back :)

I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat, service was friendly and fast even brought our food out to the picnic table out front. Food was very good, jerked chicken burrito was amazing.
