This place was truly awful, and I was surprised because of the positive reviews on Google Local. The Decor was abysmal. It looked like they went into a dollar store and bought anything with a "mexican" vibe, then hired someones blind relative to slap it around the walls willy nilly. Another horrid surprise was that the tables were covered with an incredibly sticky sheet of plastic draping down to my knees which was either filthy or a really dumb thing to top a table with. The service was terrible as well. My friend and I went in when the place was about half full, but they had literally one person working every table, and possibly making the food as well if her long absences to the back returning with no food were any indication. This airhead also got my order wrong (Ordered the veggie fajitas, got a tasteless veggie burrito instead). Why didnt I send back this incorrect order? Because it had taken around 45 minutes for us to get our food at this moderately filled restaurant and we were already running late for a movie. Ive already reviewed my food, but to be fair, my friend liked his shrimp burrito. Still, this place was awful and I cannot emphasize that enough!

So good! Really fresh Mexican with a specialization in cuisine from Oaxa. Some of the best mole Ive ever tried. I had the veggie burrito - super fresh and bigger than my forearm. Bring a big appetite! They only really offer one official vegetarian dish, but were happy to make substitutes to veggie my food. Their nachos, for instance, usually come with beef, but substituted zucchini and more peppers. (And were excellent!) My boyfriend a a mole dish. I tried the mole (not the dish as it had pulled chicken), and it was super flavorful. Im not expert on Mexican cuisine, but this was terrific. Plus, their salsa *seemed* to be made with just a touch of tequila, it had terrific tequila flavor (agave) without the kick of actual tequila. Super delicious. Eat here! The value cant be beat, and it was definitely worth a try. I love Main Street in Manchester - some of the best hidden gems in CT live here.

Family owned and operated. Like going to their home for a nice dinner. Dining area is modest, but charming and clean. Service has always been excellent. As of 7/2017 they now serve beer and wine so no more byob. They also have various Mexican sodas on hand as well. The food style is from southern Mexico - Oaxaca (Wa-ha-ka) to be exact. I prefer it, and they knock it out of the park. Prices are fair. Some might say a *little* on the high side for Mexican, but you get what you pay for. If you are expecting taco truck prices, go to the taco truck. Like I said, you get what you pay for here and then some. Enjoy!

This little place is something of a well kept secret. Its a little mom and pop mexican place, small, and very clean. The menu is decent, and covers all the bases plus a couple things you dont normally see. Complimentary chips and salsa start your meal, and they have a full list of mexican sodas, authentic beverages, and beer and wine. The food isnt fancy, but its good. Ive only ever had one dish I wasnt happy with. My biggest gripe is that their cheese dip comes out of a can... I love mexican queso, and was quite disappointed. Overall, a solid 4 stars. Its not the best mexican, but its well worth a try

Hidden gem of Manchester! It is definitely the closest thing to authentic Mexican that you are going to find in this area. The decor is pretty lame, and service can be very slow when they are busy--but the food is worth it. I have not tried everything on the menu, but the tamales (where are you going to find those in Manchester?) and the tacos are great. It is BYOB, so pack a cooler and relax and enjoy some good food and the kitch atmosphere. Prices are good and the menu has things you wont find at a fake Mexican place. Did I mention BYOB?

Move past the low key decor and wait patiently for the food, since they make the meals one at a time and have just one server the night we went. You wont be sorry! Nothing but fresh, tasty, and homemade ingredients including the hot sauce. Lemonade for kids was homemade as well. Note that they do not serve alcohol. Enjoy the great food!

Los Sarapes, originally of Park Street in Hartford, offers some moderately priced authentic Mexican cuisine. The inviting staff offsets the turquoise-heavy decor, which does not aid the claustrophobic feel of this hole-in-the-wall. Overall, the food and people outweigh the aesthetic issues this restaurant suffers from.

Would not return. The "fresh" pozole that is only served on the weekends was clearly not made the same day. The churro was like biting into a bottle of cooking oil. Overall poor food quality with long wait times.

The place may look like a dive but the food was very good. Customer service was good and the food didnt take that long to prepare. If youre in Manchester, its worth the stop.

Okay, I have revised my review because the food is delicious and the owner is very nice. However its worth warning folks that it takes a LONG time to get your dinner.

Great inexpensive Mexican cuisine. If youre feeling adventurous try the horchata (rice drink) it is amazing.
