I honestly do not see how this place has nearly 5 stars. I went there on a Wednesday night, and it was not terribly busy. When I walked in there were 3-4 employees standing around talking, while I waited at the hostess stand to be seated. After the employees stopped talking I was completely ignored, until I made eye contact with the hostess who finally seated me - I didnt feel welcomed at all. We ordered 3 Margaritas 2 large, and 1 small. The margaritas are strong and tasty, but they do not use the appropriate salt on the rim, it tasted that they just used table salt to rim the glasses, not the appropriate "Kosher" salt - disappointing. The chips were OK, they were definitely fried in old oil, and while hot, the old oil gave the chips a not great taste. The Salsa too was interesting, it had carrot slices in it? Odd, that didnt taste fresh either. The Guac was the shining star here, it was awesome, was definitely made fresh and was more than enough to share with 3 people. The biggest disappointment came in the food. The chicken was definitely not typical "shredded chicken" that you find in many Mexican restaurants. It was like little chicken chunks, definitely not fresh, and probably was the Sysco branded bulk chicken - it was gross, lacked flavor, and was rubbery. We had a waitress that was brand-new and she tried her best so I will refrain my comments. A tip, if a waitress is brand-new, have an experienced waiter shadow her; so she wouldnt have to run back and forth to get answers to our questions. We will not becoming back to this restaurant, even though it is one of the highest rated Mexican restaurants in Worcester.

I posted this before however I clearly was taken down by whomever. PLEASE READ. About a week ago a friend and I went to this establishment at 4am and within our time there we heard cat sounds coming from the kitchen. At about 4:30am the waitress approached us after our faces were clearly uncomfortable. We asked her what those sounds were and she replied that the kitchen plays cat YouTube videos as a joke on their customers. We informed her that we did not like the sounds and that they sounded like cats were being gridded up in the kitchen. After speaking to us she headed over to the kitchen area and said something to them in Spanish that we were not able to translate. 5 mins later sounds of cats screaming from the kitchen got even louder. Not even being half way done with our food we paid and left the establishment and called the police. Please note that this is my 2nd Google review of this establishment and that the last 4 reviews have came within the last few weeks of the incident along with previous reviews dating back much later than those other fake reviews. I strongly believe this restaurant kills cats at 4am and uses their meat in the food. PLEASE BEWARE

I live 45 minutes away, yet Ive been a customer here since it first opened up two years ago.Its crazy to see these reviews about "cats" and an "unwelcoming atmosphere". Knowing the restaurant closes at 9 during the week and 10/11 during the weekends. Absurd. Little to say that the improvements made have been fenomenal, yet the food has remained taisty, fresh- and flat out delicious. Since the start Ive felt as if I was in Mexico due to the positive energy and happy vibes the employees, cooks, and manager have brought to the environment. They constantly go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a great time, that the food is exactly how they wanted it and that the margaritas taste great- yet their PERFECT. Yeah I understand there can be some mistakes done, or a bad day for the servers- but the service and everything that comes along with it has been TOP NOTCH. Ive decided to write this review to make sure these other negative reviews are disregarded. Its truly absurd. Best Mexican Restaurant Ive ever tasted, truly authentic. Thank you El Patron Family

Went many times previously had great food this time not too much. Perhaps there is a new cooking staff. Burrito was served with mexican style coleslaw which was EXTREMELY unedibly bitter for some reason?!? Perhaps the wrong cabbage was used. We ordered dessert and the Sopapillas came out with what we thought was powdered sugar topping but instead someone had mixed it up with FLOUR!! Ontop of this, the "house" hotsauce tasted terrible and the waiter neglected to refill my drink for the entire meal. Cannot recommend this restaurant although it used to be my favorite mexican joint in Worc.

Home cooking is the theme here. I have eaten here a few times and always the food is very fresh and tastes like your mama made it. The salsa and chips are homemade, salsa is chunky with a good bite and a just right amount of heat of jalapeno. I have had carne asada tacos, chicken burrito, a plate of carne asada, and tonight i tried the mole enchiladas. The chicken tasted great, flavorful and the mole was amazing, with fresh refried beans and the rice is perfect and some salad to round out the plate. All in all this place is the real deal, fresh authentic Mexican food in Worcester.

Delicious authetic mexican Food, fresh and loaded with flavor. I ordered the drenched burrito and requested it over shredded lettuce. The wait staff offered to add sauteed veggies since i wasnt getting meat. The portion was huge. The atmosphere is clean ans open, very welcoming. I will come back with friends for sure.

I have been in the Restaurant several times, but I usually order a lot take out cause I work in the area. The staff is really nice and welcoming. The food is really good. I didnt give a 5☆because I wish they extend the hours on the weekends and the food doesnt take that long, but overall I really enjoy this place.

I didnt get what I ordered and it was expensive for a low quality Mexican food. Staff was nice though. Also the salsa they give for free was really bad, but you can for better salsa and that pretty good.

As much as the waittrress tried to deny it, she forgot our food. She didnt bring it out until we asked for it and it was cold. Overpriced but subpar food tasted unsatisfactory.

Great food. Service was fast and our server was friendly. The salsa was flavored differently than what Im used to, but that might be the only flaw I can find!!
