From the rock-solid reliable menu (courtesy of shared kitchen with Georges Pizza adjacent) to the bar and table staff who not only attend to your orders, but genuinely seek to strike up conversation and ensure that youre enjoying yourself while there, this is the sort of standard other wine bars, bar-and-restaurants, and local hangout should be judged by. Weekly combinations of live music, DJs, and house tunes keep the energy up, the bar selection is commendable -- particularly local crafts, bourbons, whiskey and rye -- and as other reviewers have noted, the Greek dishes are the highlight of the menu. One serving of moussaka, and a hearty glass of red wine, and youre hooked.

They have the most unfriendly staff I have ever seen! I went there on Monday night and tried to catch to watch the UCONN womens basketball game with other fans together. There was not a single TV was on ESPN. Nobody actually was watching all the TVs. I asked the guy behind the bar to change one TV out of nine or ten to ESPN that was broadcasting UCONN womens game. He turned cold and ignorant. If I got a smile, I wont write this review. I may not been there again, but I wont recommend others do not go. However he was so ignorant. I just spent my money somewhere else, and I do not recommend any huskies fans even try to go to this place.

The Olive Bar shares a menu with Georges Pizza next door, which includes a fine lineup of grinders, pizzas, pastas, and other Italian specialties. For craft beer lovers, the rotating special taps always have some local brews from Kent Falls, Black Hog, Relic, New England Brewing, and other Connecticut breweries, and the bartenders have an above-average knowledge of beer (and are in the process of becoming further trained).

This is a great place and the only local place like it. Plenty of tvs, younger crowd and nice bar area. The food is good and a convivial and lively atmosphere as the night goes on. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but unfortunately that is the case with most of Unionville.

A bit noisy (small space/many happy people) but drinks & food are delish, staff is very friendly, decor is nice. A good place to visit as a couple or small group. Recommend the cucumber collins :)
