I wish I could post the photo that I took of the food. Not only was the food absolutely disgusting (were an Italian family), the sight of one of the entrees was beyond appitizing. It truly upset my stomach just looking at it. 4 scallops hiding under what looked to be baby vomit in the consistency and color of green pea baby food. I couldnt even see the scallops. Very similar to my raviolis...you could not tell how many were on the plate as they were swimming in very salty cheese sauce. So much I could have coated at least two other entrees. The special clam entree my husband ate had sand in the clams. Sorry, but that is not a delicacy! The pasta was not even cooked to alDante. They were very stiff and not edible. My husband returned his plate for another entree right off the bat. Pork chop over potatoes. How could that go wrong? But, it did. No flavor in the pork and potatos were at a very loose consistency. If Gordon Ramsey were there I can guarantee you would certainly hear him yelling a mile away and dished flying! Even the bread and salad were absolutely disgusting! Oh ya, they never brought our salad until I asked for them when our entree arrived. I had always hear great review so my husband and I had a date night there. We were ready to head to McDonald (which we never eat) becuase we were still hungry and wanted half way decent food. Top it off my husband was offered a piece of cheese cake for his trubbles on his meal. I chose to skip mine since the waitress informed me all deserrts are made there. I had enough! Thank god I declined. That too was terriable. We were so disappointed! A date night that we barely get since we have kids and finally at night I didnt have to cook. For $80 I would rather stay at home and cooked and had date night in our kitchen. The whole point of going out to a nice restaurant is the atmosphere service and above all exceptional food. I really hope this restaurant gets it together VERY soon. East Lyme needs more restaurants in our town. Until then we will send our business to Pauls Pasta, Olive Garden and Illinois.

What a wonderful surprise Rebekas was for us! After arriving, we learned that the owners had recently moved to Connecticut after having lived in Venice, Italy for 20 years. And the culinary treat that awaited us proved that Rebekahs will soon become a gem in East Lymes crown. For starters, we had the stracciatella (a stretched Italian curd cheese - just like we had once in Sorrento, Italy) with speck (a northern Italian, lightly-smoked prosciutto) and it was truly out of this world. Our starter was complemented by a wonderful super Tuscan montepulciano - full-bodied wine recommended by our server, Val. Bellisimo! Next, our pasta entrees were equally delicious. One of us had the orecchiette with broccoli rabe and speck with a delicate tomato and light cream sauce. Absolutely exquisite. My partner had the spaghetti carbonara, which was also delicious - and did not quickly dry out like other carbonaras. For dessert, the tiramisu is NOT to be missed - you will regret skipping dessert here! And the coffee (espresso) tasted like I was back in Rome. We already cannot wait to go back to Rebekahs. Grazie mille!

This was my mom and Is first time here after reading a raving review in the Post Road Review. We made a reservation on a Saturday which seemed to have been forgotten as there were no available tables when we arrived. The decor and color scheme was bizarre and a lot more casual than we had expected. While we waited, we could overhear the table next to us complaining to the waitress about how the lemon drop wasnt at all lemony and how they were disappointed that it did not arrive until the food did. The salad and fava bean spread was good however we ordered the shrimp scampi and swordfish which were both terrible. The swordfish was an odd pink in the center and so tough that we asked the waitress to bring it back to the cook to make sure it was ok and she assured us it was. Although the pasta was great, the shrimp was so terrible that we were both sure leaving that we would be sick. It tasted bizarre like Ive never tasted shrimp before, almost like a chemical cross contamination. The staff was very friendly but we unfortunately will not be going back :/

Fantastic customer service and the staff really were working hard! We were a little disappointed with the glutten free choices and there were no GF options for children. However, the chef was happy to offer a steak or pork entree and my daughter enjoyed the steak. Surprised that the childrens meal came with one free drink but if they wanted a refill it was an additional 2.75 per drink. We were also served warm bread with a fish butter (not a fan) after awhile we did get some plain butter. We ordered a shrimp pasta entree and a scallop entree both $20.00 each. Both entrees came with a salad and a generous amount of fresh pasta but only 4 small pieces of shrimp and scallops. We would have rathered less pasta and more protein. Overall, felt like it was over priced for what you got however they are still a pretty new establishment.

Ordered dinner tonight for the East Lyme High dine out program. When I called to order take out, I asked if they had a childrens menu (as their menu is nowhere to be found on the web) I was told no which was interesting because when I went to pick up my order, there was clearly a childrens section on the menu posted in the window. The cavatelli turned out to be gemelli and the lobster ravioli had some very unexpected spicy bites to it. A little surprised to see that their carry out bags were blue plastic grocery bags from Stop and Shop. Recycling is a good thing? The salad was good, though I wasnt given a choice of dressing and the bread was fresh and warm.

I had the chicken primavera and tiramisu for dessert. The chicken primavera was huge and delicious. The chicken was moist and nicely seasoned, and the fish was more vegetable - heavy than primaveras Ive had at other restaurants. Id definitely get it again. The tiramisu was also delicious. The lady fingers were the perfect texture and the presentation was beautiful. I also had an espresso with my dessert, which was smooth and very drinkable. I will definitely be coming back.

We were looking forward to trying East Lymes newest restaurant, and were not disappointed. My wife considered the Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli the best shes ever had, and the Spaghetti Carbonara was awesome with the pasta clearly made on the premises cooked to perfection. Staff were very very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to visiting again soon, and as they have recently started opening for lunch will be curious to see the lunchtime offerings.

My family of three had a fabulous meal. The pasta was as good as Ive had in Italy and the menu has something for everyone. The shrimp ravioli with mushroom sauce was seasoned with finesse and delicious, my sons carbonara outstanding and my husband raved about his beef burgeon. Finally, a world class restaurant in East Lyme!

One word: amazing! For my taste, the best raviolis in Connecticut. Their octopus potato salad, which tastes a bit like ceviche, is also excellent. I even enjoyed their mussel fava bean pasta and Im not even a big fan of either mussels or fava beans. God willing will definitely return.
