5 of us when to La scalas last night 4 the all you can eat chicken special. The chicken was excellent the french fries excellent, salad excellent. Now for the pasta we were all baffled by how bad the red sauce on the pasta was ( we are all Italian and know what good sauce-gravy is supposed to taste like) considering this is a Italian restaurant. We all scraped it back onto the plate and sent it back and we werent the only table that did this. The waitress asked us if we wanted more pasta and we all said no were good. Come on people this is an Italian restaurant the pasta should be outstanding. If they got the pasta on point ( any pasta from a jar would be an improvement) this place would definitely have gotten a 5-star rating. One more thing the lighting is so bad we couldnt see what we were eating. I dont know what they were going for as far as atmosphere but it was just too dark. There wasnt even a light over our table. With a few tweaks this place could be great. If its excellent Italian food youre looking for stay away. I dont care how big the portions are what good is it if the Pasta sucks.

Came here after WPI graduation with a reservation for 9. Waiter was the nicest person we have ever had as a server. We were given the choice of the lunch or dinner menu and both had remarkable choices. We had chicken parm, veal parm, steak tips, shrimp scampi, pizza and sandwiches. Everything was gigantic and cooked perfectly. The French fries were awesome. Now that I have been I will be back, son is continiung for grad school here in town so we will be regulars!

I went here for the first time with my boyfriend. He has been before. The food was absolutely delicious, the drink specials were unique and delicious and the servers were very kind and efficient. I cant wait to go back! The venue is very small, but would be worth any wait!

Went for lunch. Veal parm excellent. But the surprise was the pistachio cream cake. 2 die 4. Marvelous. If I could would give the chef 10 stars for this dessert. Only bad thing I couldnt but a whole cake on the spot. Fantastic. Thank u Love.

Went last night with my gf we both loved the food and service there was great pizza is absolutely amazing we definitely going back to try more food there , the only bad thing is the place too small and the lights are bad cant see whst u eating!!!

A Shrewsbury St. landmark. Great food, personal service, daily specials and a nice kids menu. The food is top notch and the portions are huge. Old school Italian at its best.
