This place used to be hands down the best in town, but not anymore :( The quality of food has gone downhill in the past year and their signature dish(chicken piccata) tastes like garbage. After ordering that dish many times before I was extremely disappointed when ordering recently! To be honest I was already warned by another patron that this dish was no good but I didnt listen, my mistake. The chicken was NOT cooked correctly and the sauce they used tasted NOTHING like the original. I couldve made a better dish at home it wouldve been 10times better and Im not even that great of a chef. At the time of my last visit I was with friends and every single one was unhappy with the way their food tasted. Since then my friends who live over 30 minutes from here have no reason to visit Leominster. This restaurant desperately needs to go back to their old way of cooking because theyve last a bunch of regulars. I wont go back anytime soon and neither will anyone I know, its not worth my money..

THANK YOU IL CAMINO! I have a gluten issue and Il Camino accommodated me with delicious gluten free pasta that they actually cooked themselves and served with home made sauce and what ever else I wanted. To top it off, they served a to-die-for flourless chocolate torte for dessert! Thank you so much!! Several months ago I had a very bad experience at a local Italian chain when trying to order gluten free. It seems this huge chain only has one gluten free pasta with sauce and peppers that has to be boiled in its own pouch. If I wanted anything else to go with it, I would have to pay for another Entree. Not Il Camino.... they got it right!

Im prefacing this by saying Ive never left a bad restaurant review in my life. UNFORTUNATELY theres a first time for everything. Im fairly certain that, in addition to coming from a can, the food also made me sick. The waitress brought us our water (should be simple, yeah?) after the food, and only after we asked for it a second time. Everything was cold, and the pasta was overcooked. Sauces were bland. Clams were chewy (and again, pretty obviously canned). There were no capers in the piccata sauce (I mean really?). Service was awkward and pretty bad. THEN, the hostess basically catcalls me as we practically ran out of the restaurant...

The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The glass, fork, and knife were all dirty. After waiting for over 5 minutes I got up to get my own utensils. The salad wasnt even fresh. To make matter worst the server didnt even apologize for the experience. The server even had the odasity to ask us to pay for the drinks that we didnt even finish prior to walking out. A nice dinner out turned into a pizza ordered in.

Veal picatta was reccomended by many and was routed as what they are known for. I ordered it. I was first given a tasty salad with a great house dressing. I wish the meal ended there. The picatta was a slightly cooked piece of veal covered in what must have been a stick of butter. No lemon taste and no capers just a hunk of breaed meat swimming in a sea of butter. Good salad good wine bad picatta

No clue what gluten free is, stamped out silverwear, paper mats on 60s plastic table covers, nasty looking kitchen, they have more beers from other countries than our own Sams from BOSTON, old not updated, dont even bother a step up from Wendys , with outback prices ,,,, please just go out of business

What a find!! We were travelling from the mountains in NH to home in RI and we found El Caminos. Boy was we surprised. The food & service wasmuch more than we expected and the prices were very reasonable. We will stop there whenever we are in the area.

Best Chicken Picatta ever, hands down. Been there plenty of times and never had an issue, other than food taking a while sometimes, but thats mostly due to my own anxiety/hunger.

Lovely waitress; alright chicken picatta; mediocre lasagne (no bake noodles, flavorless ricotta). Big lunch portions. They can do better; theyre Italian for gosh sake.

Their chicken Piccata is not authentic, but it is delicious. Between the homemade pastas and sauces, you cannot go wrong.
