Potential to be a great diner. Food- Chicken Souvlaki, SpinachPie & Gyro(burnt) were all overcooked. Originally missing chicken & olives on Greek Platter, then charged extra for tzatziki sauce (manager removed extra charge on my request). Needed the extra sauce to eat the dried out meats. Grape leaves & Mousaka were good. Service was poor. No one greets you when you walk in- seat yourself. Watched others enter diner & werent sure what to do or where to go. Server was nice but too busy. Only saw her when she (finally) took order & brought my food. Had to get my own menu and get up to find her to get my check so I could leave. Good portion sizes & maybe they were just too busy. Will give them another try- good location rt. by hotel off I-95.

This is the best diner. The best. Everyone thinks so, I have heard from many people that they this this is the best diner. With americas GDP below 0, which by the way is the worst it been in 40 years, it is important that we have the best diner in the world. Other people think they have the best diners? WRONG! Their diners are disgusting compared to this one. SAD! We have paninis, we have chicken tenders, we have a breakfast, we are open 24 hours!! What could be better than that? Nothing. Nothing is better than ours. We have the best diner in the WORLD. Anyway Im Donald Trump and the Parthenon Diner is the best and we need to defund all the other diners.

We dine at the Parthenon in Old Saybrook. Harry is our favorite server because he is always happy to greet us and is especially kind to our grandchildren, who can be very, very messy. Harry never loses patience. I also want to compliment Nancy, who knows how to make a perfect vanilla egg cream, which is my favorite soda (I am a New Yorker). The chef always prepares our food correctly (I like my burgers extra-extra-welldone!).

Ive been coming here for years . tonight was,my last time. a huge and loud fight broke out in the kitchen . screaming anc swearing. pans flying. spilled into dining area,. all the kitchen help involved . gave me severe indigestion as well as fear. when I mentioned how upsetting this was to managed. he said " Im sorry " as he took my money. TGIF?!,

Decent diner food at decent diner prices. Unlike some diners, the food has some flavor (Im looking at you Twin Pines!). The crowd is just a little confusing though. You got business casual on the left, Cooter and the Gang back from raccoon huntin on the right, and elegant European dudes bringing you grape leaves. All it needs is a dancing bear.

Slow service, 20 minute wait to get a veggie wrap that was so greasy I could only eat a third of it, large portion of cold, soggy fries. Waiter nowhere to be found to get the check and then cashier gave the wrong change. First and last time in this lousy place (which was also overpriced for the awful food.

The Parthenon diner is the most amazing diner I have ever been to and the people that work there are so very nice and u dont have to wait to long for ur food I love dining there and there french fries with cheese and gravy are out of this world lol at lest to me they are and I cant wait to go back again

Good diner. Many menu options, breakfast through dinner. Lots of dessert options made in house. This place is a staple among the locals, and eating where the locals eat is a good bet. Ive been here a handful of times in the last 25 years while visiting family in the area. Wont let you down.

I was so happy to come upon this super clean 24-hour diner with tons of meal choices! The only problem I had was trying not to get too full so so could choose a delicious dessert from the dozens in that glass case. I cant wait to be back in that atea so can try something new.

Have lived or work in Branford area most of my life. For months now they havent been able to get an order right for to go meals. They over charge on almost ever order as well. Multiple people have gotten this same level of service. Will not be going back to them any time soon.

Being from upstate, ny and my primary soda is coca cola, I was a little surprised this diner carried neither coke or Pepsi. But a local brand calles Foxon Park. Gave it a try, had the orange soda, pretty good! Basically an orange seltzer. Food was ok...its a diner.

Wow, this was one of the best diners Ive ever went to! They skimped a little on the poppers (7.25 for just 5) but made up for it with their early bird specials. Their buffalo chicken wrap was amazing. Great spot. We went into this place by accident!

I havent been there for a few years. It has a messy floor, I had to ask twice for my toast, and I had to send my food back, because it was the wrong order. I felt like I was bothering them coming in to eat. They werent busy at all, I can see why.

My family loves this place. I usually go with the Ruben hotdogs. This place was voted the number 1 Diner in the state of Connecticut and its easy to see why. Weve been going there since my 4 year old was born.

Gave this place another chance. How can you cook a grilled cheese sandwich and the cheese wasnt melted? The seafood soup had imitation crab which is Pollock in it and it was seafood luke warm. Never again.

Food was very good, service was below par. Definitely would come here again if i had a lot of time to wait around. We didnt even get asked our drink order for about 20 minutes after we sat down.
