Everything was horrendous. To start off, the waitress (Jennifer) was very slow, it took us forever to get our food, and any time we wanted something, we had to ask multiple times, otherwise she wouldnt bring it. Then the real drama began. We ordered 2 of the steak fajitas for 2 and when the food arrived, we were given 2 skillets filled with peppers and onions and maybe a total of 6 ounces of steak between the 2 platters, and that was supposed to feed 4 people! Keep in mind the fajitas for 2 is $27/order, so our total came out to over $60 after our soft drinks were included. There is no way we should have had to pay for 2 of the orders of fajitas for 2 when we received less meat than what would have been given on 1 order of the fajitas for 2. When we addressed the lack of meat with the manager, he responded by saying "well, this is Vail, things are expensive here" and initially refused to offer us any sort of discount other than a free dessert and then walked away after we said we didnt want a free dessert so that the waitress could bring the check. When the waitress brought the check, she dropped it off at the table without saying anything and abruptly walked away. At that point, we called the manager over again and insisted that he give us some sort of discount or explanation for why we received such little food for what we were going to have to pay. (meanwhile, we saw another table not too far from us that ordered 1 fajitas for 2 and clearly got much more meat than we received). When the manager returned, we asked if there was any way that the cooks misproportioned the meat and he said "absolutely not, we have been doing this for many years and this is just how we do it, there is no way my cooks made a mistake" (cmon, it is always possible for someone to make a mistake), even though it was obvious that they did not give us the total amount of meat we should have received. After the manager continued to speak to us rudely and continued arguing with us, he said "I can give you 25% off or I can call the police if you dont want to pay that". Long story short, throughout the entire ordeal, the manager was extremely rude and clearly had no intentions of being courteous or trying to salvage the experience for us. The taste of the food was mediocre at best, if you want a full portion of food, make sure to not order the fajitas for 2, and the manager on duty was the most rude restaurant employee I have ever dealt with in my life. Do not waste your time coming here. There are valid reasons why Westside Cafe next door is always full and Casa Mexico never has a wait. Expect a huge waste of money if you come here.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Unfortunately I can say this was possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had. I live in west Vail and now fully understand why West Side (the restaurant next door) is always full and Casa Mexico is empty. My experience- I brought a group of friends from out of town to Casa Mexico for breakfast and it took almost 30 minutes and we had to ask to get our drinks even though the restaurant was not busy. After sitting for a while in several of the other tables that were receiving the same lack of service the our table was, had stood up and just left. Unfortunately we decided to stick it out. when the food arrived after a full hour of waiting, it was mediocre at best. One of the orders did not arrive at all, when we prompted the waitress that we had not received one of the orders she replied that is was coming. when it did arrive 20 minutes later it was some of the most disgusting looking French toast I have ever seen, so bad it was somewhat comical. we had to prompt the waitress again that we had ordered the "combo" and that came with bacon. Hoping to receive something edible in order to salvage a breakfast. When that arrived it too was almost comically disgusting. The resolution- When the bill arrived the show continued, an 18% gratuity was on the bill. I will give them they took off the Bloody Marys, at first..... when we brought attention to the disgusting French toast order that was not touched the waitress stated she would take that off the bill. she did.... then put the Bloody Marys back on! Our bill went up!!! when I drew attention to that the waitress stated it was not her fault and the was nothing she could do. I did call Casa Mexico to talk to the owner about my experience, being as that I live near by I felt the owner deserved to hear what had happened in hopes that he may want to examine what was going on in his restaurant in order to maintain a customer base in a competitive market like Vail. When I called I was told "We are in the middle of something, Ill call you back tomorrow" This place is terrible and will hopefully will go out of business soon.

Food was delicious but didnt enjoy due to the poor service of our waitress.Never bothered to ask if we needed anything else with our orders refills all that jazz and on top of that we were missing our tortillas had to ask another waitress. Could care less about serving our table not like a normal nice friendly waitress would do because its theyre job. She came over with our bill didnt ask if we needed boxes to go in my case i did!!. Our bill was $133 with some change paid cash $150 she took the initiative to keep the $14 dollars as her tip and bring back only some mint candies. Like who does that?? She was going to get a tip regardless but dont take it upon yourself. Just plain rude like i said food is great but didnt enjoy do to the lack of customer service.. For the waitress get another job if you cant be people friendly!!!

Great food, great margaritas, and great service. Stopped here for lunch and it was exactly what we were hoping for - good quality food and drink with no pretentious nonsense (a great antidote to some of the more high end establishments in Vail!) I can recommend the chimichanga, and especially the Guadalajara taco salad - I dont know what they do to the steak but it tastes amazing - and the margaritas (go for the fresh lime juice/no sours mix option in my opinion). The service was friendly and fast and we thoroughly enjoyed eating there.

I have ordered five times in last year. Four of them have been served as not what I ordered. Even after saying my order three times, explicitly, they cant seem to get it right. The manager was so kind to give me 20% of my next order. I WILL NOT BE BACK. Mediocre food. Go to La Cantina in the village instead. Much better food and they always get it right.

In my opinion the best mexican restaurant in Vail CO... Wish they would publish a website that offered a menu to view online but that isnt a reason to ignore this place. The food is legit, portions are hearty and they have good service. I frequent Casa often and food is consistent not hit and miss like some places.
