I ordered 3 meals for lunch: 1 for a toddler and 2 for adults at 12:15P. I asked that the toddlers meal be sent out even if ours werent ready because we had to leave to get home for a 1:00P nap. The toddlers meal was the only thing these clowns did correct. That meal arrived at 12:35P due to it being busy. Okay, I get it. At 1:10P, our meals werent on our table and two parties after us were served. Despite serving only one person at a table of three, the clearly overwrought staff didnt go back to the kitchen to check on the status of our meals. Get this: mine was a chef salad (very hard to make, I know) and the other was a chicken salad sandwich (also incredibly difficult, apparently). Ten minutes later (after serving two additional parties that ordered well after us), our meals were finally ready. The worst part was the lame excuse for an apology that the server offered; none was offered by the manager (owner?) We will not ever do business with such ungrateful louts again. I lover supporting local businesses, but next time well drive 15 more minutes towards Denver and order from a chain. Good job!

Wow! Our friends Karen and Ray recommended this place to us, knowing we were headed that way and that were vegan. What a find! Such a cute place, clean and bright, with a bar on one side (with the football game on) and a dining room on the other. They had the best green chili Ive had so far (chunky, so it was delicious as a soup and didnt feel like I was eating a bowl of hot salsa), a great quinoa salad over baby kale and a black bean burger, all veg-friendly. Didnt try the black bean burger (yet), but the other two were great. Right on the side of 285! Well be back for sure.

The food is excellent! I stopped with some friends Sunday on the way to Breckenridge, and we got there at 11:45. We really wanted breakfast, but they stopped serving breakfast at 11:30. I had carnitas tacos, and they were delicious. One friend had their green chili, and the other had the roast beef dip sandwich. Everything was great! Id normally give 5 stars, but it was a Sunday and we were expecting brunch/breakfast food. I think on Sundays The Shaggy Sheep should serve breakfast all day.

Cute little restaurant, exactly what youd expect in the middle of no where. There was only one employee working and he did an amazing job, took order, served, and prepped the food. 3 adults with 3 different meals, all were extremely good. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. The elderly couple next to us were locals that ate there all the time. Said theyd had everything on the 2 page menu and it was all good stuff. If Im ever in the area again will definitely stop in.

My husband and I have been traveling from Golden to Fairplay for over 35 yrs. The Shaggy Sheep offers the most consistently delicious food of any restaurant on or off of highway 285. The Spicey Scramble has just enough heat and great flavor. French toast is delicious, Baked Avocado yummy, basic eggs over-easy and bacon cooked just right. Great food, a great cup of coffee and friendly service - what more could you ask for? p.s. they have a gluten-free bread option.

I eat here as often as I can! Not only is everything made from scratch in house but it is excellent food! Earlier today I hade a cheese burger topped with pulled pork (which is smoked in house) on a toasted bun with a side of slaw it was the best burger/sandwich lunch meal! I have had in a long time if ever it ranks up there believe me!! Hopefully it will go on the menu! Because I will order it all the time!!

The food was pretty good. Im giving three stars however based on a little incident. My husband ordered the green chili and a side of fries. It wasnt exactly what he thought hed get so he asked to order a burger. The waitress wouldnt use the side of fries he ordered as the fries that came with the burger because shed have to void the transaction. We were just a little put off by it and probably wont be back.

Chris and Sarah have done a MARVELOUS job of renovating and improving on what used to be Kenosha Cafe. The Shaggy Sheep is nicely decorated, clean and the food is excellent. All the staff are great folks - friendly, and love to chat when business slows down a bit (which is rare). As a business owner myself in Bailey, we wish them all the best, and hope that they will be around for a long time!

Hands down the best food you can find in the mountains!! Everything is made fresh every day, great selection on the menu, reasonably priced and you couldnt ask for more friendly, upbeat owners. I would recommend this place to anyone and will worth the drive from Denver. I would give it 7 stars out of 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah gave us great service and attention. I enjoyed hearing about their story, as they only opened two weeks ago. My French toast was a bit undercooked for my liking, but my wifes pancakes were delicious. Also, the décor was well done with a mix of rustic modern. We will return again next time were in the area.

Nice ambiance, delicious food, and full bar! This place is a gem as far as what is offered and the service you get. The owners are fully invested in this place and are sharing their dream with you. This place may be in your commute, or something you see when on your way camping. Give this place a try.

The burgers and fries were delicious!! Great staff!! They were all very friendly, attentive, and smiling every time they came to the table. The food came out fast and was cooked exactly as requested. Kudos for bringing the kids meal out first!

New owners. Awesome chef... creative, flexible to meet your needs... and he uses "real ingredients" like fresh romaine and butter lettuce! Well worth going out of our way let alone stopping by.
