There were 4 of us visiting Morrison for the first time. We write reviews on restaurants and food all over the world. As we were walking around town and enjoying the beautiful weather, we stumbled across Café Prague. We stepped inside hoping that we’d be able to find a table and try their food, possibly to write a review on this fancy little gem of the town. Unfortunately, before we asked for a table, my friend told the host (happen to be the manager of the restaurant) a short story how he grew up in this town and this restaurant was never there, and he was surprised that it turned out to be such a fine establishment. The host rudely said “okay” and walked away (he probably thought we stopped by just to tell that story instead of eating there). We did not know what to think or react based on that kind of attitude. The restaurant has a lot of potential, but with that kind of management, I’m not surprised if it runs out of business due to poor customer service. It is their lost to invest in that gentlemen as a manager, who represents service of the restaurant. We walked away in disappointment.

5280 Reservations for 3 @ 6:00 PM 3/3/2012 * Seating was good * Service was good * Martinis were very good, No blue cheese or specialty olives * Caesar salads were very good. Side of anchovies for the salad avaialble & fresh * Chicken Paprikash was POOR; No spaetzles, just elbow macaroni. Chicken was shredded. In all, not much flavor; kind of like a MAC & Cheese. * Hungarian Goulash was fair; light on flavor * Jaeger Schnitzel was fair; over cooked. Spaetzles fair, could have used more butter on them, Red cabbage was good but could have served larger portion. *Streudel was poor; like mushy apple pie. While it could have been a bad night, I expected better. We are from Cleveland Ohio, where there are a number of excellent Hungarian and other ethnic restaurants. I guess the Eastern Europeans didnt make it to Denver. I would not recommend this restaurant. Henry Wearsch Littleton, CO

I couldnt disagree more with the positive remarks given to this restaurant. The restaurant scores high on ambiance, service, and cleanliness; but the food--the most important part of the experience--was a total disappointment. I was so dissatisfied that I wrote a personal letter to the owner and never heard a word back from him. I complemented everything, then gave my honest opinion of the food, and he never even took the time to write back. Believe me when I say, when an owner fails to reply to a hand-written letter, there are many things that he (or she) will overlook too. I will NEVER return to this restaurant. EVER! If you like ambiance, service, cleanliness, and some of the worst food in Morrison (no, Colorado), than Cafe Prague is for you. BTW: They are overpriced for their portions. I think the good reviews of this restaurant must be from friends, relatives and employees. Avoid this place!

We will not go back; there are plenty of restaurants in Denver area with considerate staff, not worth getting annoyed by beyond mediocre service at Cafe Prague. People seated after us were served first (three tables). Our waiter was taking his time, and was too lazy to let us know about specials. Our neighbors shared the pieces of info provided by the waiter. Beer might have been "diluted", and the glasses were dirty and I had crumbs in mine! It took the waiter 10 minutes to get another glass. It took him even more to bring the appetizers (again, we were served way after people seated after us). No apologies, as a matter a fact the waiter behaved as it was our fault that he was late. Food was good, but service was extremely poor. Frankly, I felt as if I travelled back in time, and was seated in a restaurant in a country in the former (much dreaded) Eastern bloc. Very, very rude staff.

I called in and the owner answered the phone and let us know they were busy due to the rain and could not utilize their outside dining. We arrived at the time he indicated, and waited a short bit and were seated for drinks with two other couples. He made a joke about it and said in Europe this is common, but everyone was ok with it, and two of us had our anniversaries and one young man just received his MBA. We sat comfortably at a round table for 25 minutes, and then we were seated, next to each other at small tables. The service was impeccable and the food was very very good and not hurried. We both had schnitzel, wife having chicken and I had the lamb (weiner). It was a very nice place to go, and we will go again. Our family also goes there often. The food is different but out of the norm and I liked that.

Ho-Hum sums it up. It was good food but definitely not worth the poor abrasive service. My friend asked for a wine recommendation this is how the conversation went: friend:"Can you recommend a wine to go with the pork dish?" (i dont remember the name) waiter:"Red or White?" friend:"Umm (confused) I guess white?" waiter:"We have chardonnay, riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, ..." friend:(more confused) "chardonnay?" waiter:"We have a _______" friend:"I guess Ill have that" Not really the recommendation he was looking for not to mention the waiter had a rude tone like why dont you know what you want to drink. The food was alright the scallops were the best dish we had they were done really well. The rest of the dishes werent any better than what we would cook at home. We wont be going again.

This place is really great. the food is off the chain. i espescially love the Tony Logan pair up. very effecient. I only have one issue about this eatery. It comes in the form of a very inadequet, pretentious, and abbrasive busser. I believ he said his name was josem(oh jose was the rudest). I asked very politely about the whereabouts of a dish we had ordered half an hoyr earlier. He told me to go to hell. I then asked him for ,ore coffe. he said okay ill get the pot. i thought okay this may be looking up. He brought the pot to the table and instead of ppouringthe contents into a cup, he poured the whole pot on my lap. he said if i told anyone he would take my kids away from me. Anyway, great place other than that. love logan alot.

We made a reservation for 7:00 and they had our table ready on the beautiful patio. We already knew what we wanted because of online menu on the website. The waiter noticed we had quickly reviewed the menu and had laid them down on the table and he was right there to take our order. The onion soup is probably the best I have ever had. Both my wifes meal and mine were superb and our bill was under $100 with both of us enjoying a 4 course dinner. Service great food was awesome and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CAFE PRAGUE!!!!!

It feels like a quick trip to Europe. The service was friendly and personal and the food was excellent. I started with the Golash soup which was rich and dark. The Wienerschnitzel was extraordinary! Crisp on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The sides of red cabbage and potato, though simple were perfectly done. This is the kind of place where you look forward to returning to eat your way through the menu!

The owner is rude, willl never eat there. We were paying for parking along with several other people, he stormed across the street and in his words " did you read the sign it is for prague parking only", keep in mind we had not even crossed the street,he had no way of knowing whether any of us were eating there, now thanks to his own rudeness he probably lost 8 customers
