So, before I get started with the newly refurbished Thai Diamond Cafe, Id just like to add a note in about the place that was here previous to Thai Diamond, for those not in the know. Jumbo Thai was the Thai restaurant that was located here for a long time before it was sold to the Thai Diamond people. Id been going there for years, and it was a place more known for its decent food than the service or the decor. The waiter who typically worked there was a bit of a grump, and not what Id call a "social butterfly", but he did his job decently enough and occasionally had moments of niceness. The food was good, compared to Thai Basil or any of the other more chainy Thai restaurants around town, but overall averaged maybe 3.5 stars out of 5. The decor certainly was a little old, dirty, and could have used some slight touching up. For the most part, it was a decent place. It had its own charm, but was rather lackluster in certain aspects. I noticed a while ago that they decided to sell their restaurant, and was actually kind of sad. Now Thai Diamond Cafe comes in. I walk in for the first time today, and it is newly refurbished, clean, crisp, and much more comfortable than it was in its past life as Jumbo Thai. The staff is so damn friendly, and are always attentive to your table. The food... oh lordy, the food. The food is so fresh, vibrant, and tasty. Im pretty sure they make their own curry pastes and sauces, and everything is plated very nicely (no gaudy plates, like something found out of the dumpster of a Target). It has improved so much over Jumbo Thai, and I am so impressed. This place is awesome. Its affordable and delicious, with good staff and a comfortable setting.

ok first off, i dont understand why this place has good reviews!?!?!! the went there yesterday (9/28/2010) because i am a big fan of thai food and this place had really good reviews, to be honest with you, i was looking forward to eating their all day!!! i was very upset with our "waitor" and food. this place should be called "very small portion thai" not Jumbo thai, there is nothing jumbo about it except for your bill and the waitors JUMBO attitude!!! our waiter was very rude, he took our order and that was it, we had to get up and ask him for refills as he was watching tv!!! the food was not that good, actually it kinda made me sick!!! i will never eat here again!!! and i do NOT recommend it to anybody!!!

After reading the other reviews we decided to give this place a try and Im SO glad we did. You can order your food out of four levels of spiciness: mild, medium, hot or Thai hot. I ordered the Thai basil chicken mild and it was really good. The sauce wasnt overly salty, just the right amount of basil and the veggies were sauteed perfectly! The only thing I wish I did differently was order it medium instead of mild. The other person in my party said their pad thai was the best they had in such a long time. I know some Thai restaurants can be a hit or miss but for the price and the short wait time, this place is definitely a hit.

We found this restaurant in the Entertainment Book and decided to give it a shot. We were delighted to see that they had an actual, authentic Thai menu! We ordered a soup, noodle dish, and curry and all 3 were fantastic. We asked for everything "thai hot" and they definitely added a nice kick to the dishes without sacrificing the flavor. Unlike most restaurants weve tried in Denver they didnt just throw in a bunch of red pepper flakes. The store front itself is definitely very basic but dont let the modest setting deter you. Wed definitely recommend giving this place a shot!

From Albuquerque and come to Lakewood at least quarterly, sometimes monthly. This is now my first dinner stop in town! Being vegetarian, its tough finding places that know how to make good vegetarian meals - Thai Diamond Cafe certainly does! Their yellow coconut curry with tofu is excellent and the staff know how to dial the heat just perfectly to ones likeness. Bring an appetite because the portions are large, but the prices are extremely reasonable and budget-friendly!

Tiny friendly place with the best Pad Thai Ive had in years (3 different kinds of pad thai!), consistently good Tom Yum Gai soup (with onions, which is unusual but pleasant), and variations in their menu from the everyday Thai place. Their Thai Tea tastes like tea, not just cream and sugar, and they dont over-ice it. Although Ive been in Denver only a short while, Im sure Ive already found the best Thai in town at Jumbo.

The food was stale and prepackaged. Try a place like Thai Pot Cafe, and you will never want food like this. The service wasnt terrible. They refilled drinks, but not in a very timely fashion. The value was lacking, mostly due to the much better quality of food at other places (like the one listed). If you dont know much about thai food, or if you dont care about quality thai food, then this may be a place you like.

Ive been eating here since I moved to Denver a few years ago. The food is phenomenal and this is coming from a thai food enthusiast. I love Thai food and I would say this place is tied with another for my favorite based on quality, but the prices are by far better at Thai Diamond Cafe. Ive eaten here probably 100 times and Ive never been disappointed.

This place is *fantastic*!! I hardly ever bother writing reviews unless a place falls on one extreme or the other but we LOVE Thai Diamond. The food is incredibly flavorful and they know how to do spicy right! Things weve tried so far include pineapple fried rice, pad thai, and orange tofu. Hands down our favorite Thai place weve found in Denver.

Been going here for 2 years and they are the BEST thai food around!! Customer service is always incredible, servers are always so nice and accommodating. Ive gone there at different times of day, and every time the food is always top notch! Every other thai restaurant will disappoint you after eating here.

Very overpriced. We ordered what we thought was a bunch of food with lots of extras because we just moved into the area and we wanted leftovers that would last us a while. What we got was dinner for two with lunch the next day for $70+. We could get more than that from Star Thai for $35. Not going back.

Had the red curry--wonderful, I could even get it "Thai spicy." All the curries listed on the menu are made with coconut milk; still good choices, though. The table next to me ordered pho and it looks great as well. Friendly, attentive staff. Food came very quickly, always a plus!

The food was excellent and the portions are good for the price. I tried their Royal Chicken. The ambiance was really nice too and the lighting was perfect. :)) It was the perfect place to have dinner after a long day, picked right out of "whats near me?" google maps search.

First place I ever tried Thai food and I fell in love. My husband and I go for dates all the time here. Weve tried a few other places around town and have not been impressed. We were even talking to someone who said they come from another state to eat here.
