The servers at this diner are very personable, they really are the best part of the entire visit. However If you happen to go in when the loud owner is there they call him Gus (which is every day) you will be subjected to watching the most horrible displays of abuse. He treats the young ladies that work for him like absolute garbage. Yelling at them from the kitchen, threatening their employment status because they are busy taking orders and not right there to pick up their food when he sets it in the window for delivery. In this economy I feel sorry for the workers of this establishment I know they must feel they have little other choice or they would not work for him.

my son and I went thier this morning and had breakfast and as we were liveing my son asked for a to go box and as he was putting his food in the box he finds a hair so he told the waitress so they could take that meal off the ticket and the owner said no.and then he said dont come back because we had left before.well that was because that morning prior to this visit we had a rude waitress(hispanic lady)it seems he cares more for this lady then his customers. Bottom line stay away unless you like hair in your food. Robert.G

I put in an application in at this place a good time back When I went into the place to get a application the guy Im guessing is the owner acted like it killed him to get up from the bar an get me one. About a week later he calls me and is drunk as a skunk. I could barely understand him and when I asked him to repeat his self he would yell and be rude. I finally told him he needs to show some respect to other people and no wonder you are always looking for people to work for you and hung up.

Sat down to order and tried to order a Dr Pepper to drink. I was told "refills are $1, is that ok?" NO its not ok. You charge $2 for a tiny glass of Dr Pepper that is half filled with ice. And then you want to charge $1 for a refill. Terrible customer service. Food cost on the Dr Pepper is 10 cents, why on earth do you need to charge for a refill? I wont be back, I wanted to walk out. Im walking across to the 7-11 next door to get a drink.

This place is inconsistent. First time was great. Second time was a disaster. Waitress rarely came to our table. Food took 30 minutes & when we finally got it the food was not good. Biscuits burnt & undercooked. Hash browns were mushy. The gravy on the biscuits & gravy was ham gravy, it was supposed to be sausage. Pancakes were the only thing that saved the meal. Bad way to start Valentines Day. Thanks alot! Wont eat here again!

I really like this place. Been going here ever since I moved into the area. At least a dozen times, probably more. Really basic diner ambiance, owner always there, can be a bit gruff, but thats part of his personality. Always been happy with the food, never gotten a wrong order or bad food. Gonna get myself a carry out patty melt today!

this place has gone steadily downhill since I began going there about a year ago. Presentation is mediocre at best. Service is generally great, however the owner doesnt seem to think so. He is constantly bitching at employees for some perceived wrongdoing, and has little respect for anything but your dollars. Wont be back.

The only problem with Sunrise Cafe they do not have free refills on soda pop if you want a refill it is a dollar if their credit card machine is down they accept cash only no checks the food otherwise is very good and wide selection a variety of different foods to eat

A nice little mom n pop diner. Nothing fancy but always a great greeting with a smile. The owner walks n talks to his patrons. He makes you feel glad you chose that diner. I was visiting from phoenix and will definitely be back for a meal when in Denver.

I agree about the owner being a piece of work. He was the one to seat us. Threw the menus on the table. The whole time we were there he did nothing but abuse his employees. We left a tip for the poor waitress. I hope she got it.

My daughter and I went in here and had a wonderful experience. Its simple and quiet. The waitress was sweet and the food was great. I love about 30 minutes from here and would definitely take the drive just to come back here.

I love this cafe as an employee. I love the waitstaff, and the chefs are quality (they cant read this :) The owner owns the restaurant and his friend is chill as ice. Would work here again 8.5/10
