Ive been here more than once. Each time, Ive had a pour over and my girlfriend had a latte. Each time, both drinks were terrible. The pour overs were never made properly, with one occasion the barista didnt even look where/how he poured the water and got a bunch of plain water in the cup. Last time, the coffee tasted worse and more bitter than diner coffee. The lattes tasted like the same bad, bitter coffee with syrup added. I got Sweet Bloom pour overs each time. Sweet Bloom is awesome. Monk and Mongoose baristas simply do not know how to make coffee properly. Im not happy when I pay $4 for a cup of coffee and get handed a cup of bitter muddy water in return. Im never going back, and I do not recommend this place. Id rather go to Starbucks... and I hate Starbucks...

So so good! A very cozy yet modern feel. Theyve done a fantastic job balancing a sleek modern design with cozy and welcoming elements... a fire place, comfortable seating, conference you can reserve for events. Now the coffee - they brew sweet bloom coffee exclusively and it is amazing. Skilled baristas pulling espresso from a very nice la marzocco machine, brewed to order single source coffee, nice drinks and pastries from a high end local bakery. This is a place you want to keep going back to!

Great coffee, simple, roasted and brewed with care. Limited food items but enough to have a treat with your coffee. Shop is a corner unit so the windows are big with lots of light. Great place to meet up with some friends or to get some work done. They have a nice fireplace area with a couch and some comfy chairs. Also, a nice feature is a private conference room with seating for 12 people to work (media center, dry-eraser board, big table).

Excellent place for a quality cup/pour over. High quality coffee shop. About time for Lone Tree. Very nice people and comfortable atmosphere. Looking forward to the summer and opening up the garage doors. Would love to see some quality pastries - over and above the dried out Starbucks variety and maybe some savory/ substantial food? Lots of potential here. Ill keep supporting your business.

Last time I was in Lone Tree, the coffee pickins were mighty slim, but was delighted to find Monk & Mongoose yesterday. Still feels a bit like theyre still tying up the loose ends after opening - or maybe its just because its sort of cavernous - but theres comfy stuffed seating around a faux fireplace, and their third wave espresso is just the thing on a cold early morning.

Best coffee Ive had in a very long time. They use high quality beans that have been roasted properly and you can tell. I also appreciate the fact that they serve just straight forward quality espresso and pour over with out all the ridiculous syrups that have way too much sugar. Anyone that truly appreciates coffee should give this place a try.

Good coffee. It takes awhile, but thats because they make them individually and put a lot of work into it. Dont expect to get in and out in five minutes like a Starbucks, thats not really the point of this page. Would be 5 stars if the barista had even acknowledged being thanked multiple times for the coffee- not even a nod of recognition.

Stumbled upon this gem the other day. The staff is extremely friendly, the atmosphere is minimalistic and modern. Great place to meet a friend for coffee, study, or hold a meeting. Their coffee beans are perfectly roasted and tastes wonderful. I highly recommend!!

The coffee was very good. This is a craft coffee shop and they obviously put pride in what they do. Good atmosphere and good vibe. Its an easy place to hang out. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

This is a great place for craft coffee and a variety of pour overs. The atmosphere is relaxing yet productive and they even have a meeting room that can be rented and used for presentations. The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic.

Theyre now the closest third-wave coffee place to where I live. Great service and great coffee. (They carry Sweet Bloom Coffee - - one of the best coffee roasters in the country.) Theyll even pull single-origin espressos upon request!
