Hmmmm, Im writing this review under my wifes user account. Oh my god! Oh my god! Did I forget to say Oh my god! Just found out that this place is the same company I got a Kringle loaf from when I was at the German Festival in Denver two years ago. It was for a ski trip to Winter Park. My wife and I had gotten one of these and a lady passed by and asked us if we had tried it yet, that it was the best thing ever. So my wife and I decided to take just a little taste. Oh my God! Suddenly the heavens parted, confetti fell from the sky, and I went into an eternal orgasm without my wife having even touched me. I had found the fountain of youth. Then I noticed my wife was in an eternal orgasm as well. We were instantly addicted to the Kringle and circled back around to purchase 5 more. This stuff is the cocaine of the bakery world. Be forewarned, you will never look at life the same. Now here I am two years later. Not a day has gone by without remeniscing about my Kringle. We are planning another ski trip this year just as an excuse to visit this place. I will be purchasing about 50 Kringle loaves. I dont care if it kills me. I will have lived a full life in every bite.

I have been saving my calories to spend here here for almost a decade and the pastries and bread here are consistently Devine! l Started going when I lived nearby- its now a much longer drive to get there but always worth it! the quality of their baked goods is so fresh its heavenly! I love going.early and waiting in line beside the other regulars as we drool before the case and watch with reverance as the baker expertly removes and transfer panda to the cooling racks. My favorites are the perfectly flaky and melt in your mouth croissants with or without jalapeño (ask to have them warmed- Mmmm! ) The lemon loaf is also out of this world! Go early for the real-deal experience. You will not be dissapointed.

Everything is delicious. I especially like the blueberry danish loaf (not sure what its called), what we call damsugare (vacuums) in Swedish but they call woodsticks which are marzipan and chocoloate/cocoa, and the horseshoes which are marzipan and almond and chocolate. Sooo good. They also have marzipan covered frogs, and they make princess cake (cake with marzipan on the outside and raspberry and vanilla cream on the inside, though you have to custom order it ahead of time. Im confused about the customer service comment from someone else because Ive always experienced great customer service.

Went to this bakery last Saturday. It was busy, which right away indicated it was probably good. Even though there were five people in front of me, I still was served pretty quickly. I tried a bear claw, and got a strawberry filled pastry and a cinnamon roll for my Fiancé (which of course I tried) . Everything was very delicious. Also, I dont know why this place is rated as being expensive. All the prices are very reasonable. Less then any of the big chains like Panera or Starbucks. I got 3 pastries for less then $8. And good sized ones too. Very cool place, worth checking out.

I love this bakery & am sure to visit it each time I visit Lakewood. I was there today & was highly disappointed to have my crossiants & brownies put into the same dinky paper lunch bag!!! I asked for them to be separated, but even then when the crossiants are removed from the bag after their piggy back ride home, the almonds are mostly fallen off & the icing is partly stuck to the bottom of the top pastry. What a shame! From perfect beauty to hot mess. I really hope the owner reconsiders where to cut corners!

recently a friend of mine bought me some "treats" at a taste of Denmark. Terrible, the so called pumpernickel bread was full of what looked like sunflower seeds. The strudel was so dried out it was like bad fruit leather in burnt dough. And I get better bread at Walmart for 1/3 the price. For 20+ years I lived in Denmark, France and Germany. I know good pastry, this isnt it. Im sorry my friend spent her money for something she thought I would like and was ripped off.

Best chocolate croissant Ive ever had, and I lived in Europe for 3 years! You have to try one of their savory croissants too. Their croissants are the perfect texture of flaky and chewy. Right now they have a mini pumpkin pie pastry that is better than my moms pumpkin pie! Everything we tried was amazing and super affordable! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Going back tomorrow and the next day and...well, Ill go as often as I can!

Strongly recommend this great local bakery. Incredible assortment of baked goods, including breakfast pastries, fresh bread, and amazing desserts. As with all terrific food, price can be a bit on the higher side, but only by a little (two breakfast pastries and two regular coffees were had on my visit for around $8). Considering the quality, the price is well worth the experience.

This is the kind of small business we should never let die. You havent had a real danish until youve had one from this Danish bakery. All of the pastries are crispy and delicate, and the case is perpetually stocked with enough variety to make my mouth water. They have loaves of sandwich bread, as well, good enough to make me go out of my way to get all of my bread from here.

I used to like this place, but last time I was in there they overcharged my card. They charged me $71 for a $17 order and though they said they reversed it, both the $71 and $17 were taken out of my account. Ive tried to call them to resolve this but I can never get an answer. Avoid this place, or if you really want to try it BRING CASH.

This place has a large variety of delicious, delicate pastries. Its a cozy place with some places to eat inside and outside. The reason I deducted one star had more to do with me than Taste of Denmark. I prefer more fat and protein in my food and everything here seems to be carbs. If youre OK with that this place is fantastic!

We were driving on Kipling and saw the bakery on the right side of the road. I had to stop in as I was craving a croissant. As it turned out, I ended up getting several items. A white chocolate scone, a ham and cheese croissant, and a marzipan Sesame poppy seed croissant. They were all delicous! I cant wait to go back.

My favorite bakery in the U.S.! Dont quite understand the negative reviews; must have been off days, as every business has once in a while. Ive been eating here for a while & its always been good. Also, lived in Europe & they definitely compare & can hold their own. Nice to have a bit of my heritage here in Denver.

Wonderful European bakery. Youll gain a pound just from how great it smells! Their Cinnamon Bread is simply scrumptious. Flax seed bread is delicious too. The Kringles are fantastic enough for Chris himself!!! Did I mention the Dinner rolls?!?... or the savory croissant rolls?!?... Just incredible!!!
