The most disgusting experience at any restaurant ever! Walking in Sunday afternoon, only 1 table was occupied, yet 2 tables were full of dirty dishes and food. Still, we sat down. After giving us our menus and drinks, the server sat down at another table to eat, ignoring us for 20 minutes. The other customers finally asked for their check and the server rushed us thru our order. Then sat back down to finish eating. My husbands food came out a good ten minutes before mine and when we asked about my food we were yelled at. The service was unprofessional and snippy. She would not refill our drinks (a soda and a water). The food was horrible. The rice tasted like overcooked fish, and I ordered sweet and sour chicken. The inside of my eggroll was still frozen. The funniest part was they serve their food on old 60s style plastic frozen dinner trays that are stained and scratched up! My husband ordered garlic sauce and got something super sweet and bland. His eggroll had too much mint in it. His rice was also overcooked and super fishy. The walls were coated in old food. The tables that were empty, had not been wiped down, and the seats were filthy. The decor is mismatched, although the snoopy and woodstock (from Peanuts comic) lights are cute, it really doesnt go in a chinese restaurant. The booth being used as an office in the main room is also bizarre. And its silent! No talking, no music, no noise at all! Eerie silent. Needless to say, I will not be recommending this place nor ever going back. Ick and yuck all around!

I cant even describe how disappointed I am with this place. We ordered two entrees and specifically asked for no onions (we have an allergy and always order this way). The guy on the phone said that my girlfriend was lying and didnt order that way. I heard her order our food. He offered to bring out our correct entrees if we paid half. Half? You screwed up, then told me I was lying about what I ordered. You honestly expect me to pay again? This went on for 5 minutes of arguing and ten minutes of waiting on hold. Honestly, at that point I didnt feel comfortable eating food that they prepared. What with the arguing and them trying to get me to buy our entrees again. He then offered to refund my money within 5 business days if his driver could come back and pick up our food... Seriously? Youre sending a driver back to my home to pick up food that you will inevitably throw away? I threw out the food. It wasnt good, anyway. This place is terrible and wouldnt spend $6 in food cost to keep a customer. Called my girlfriend a liar Tried to send a driver to pick up our cold food that we already threw out. Please dont ever go here. It will ruin your Valentines day.

I have had bad customer service and I have had good customer service. We have ordered from this restaurant several times and we have enjoyed their dinners. A little pricy for what you get. Yesterday, March 19, 2016, we ordered dinner at the restaurant and got the WORST customer service we have ever had. We were ready to walk out but unfortunately, we ordered and complained the whole night. First that the food was expensive and second the front counter person (male) was terribly rude when I (Diane) ordered and when he gave us our to go order. He has been very rude to us on the phone and this time very rude when we were ordering. He upset me (Diane) very much that we were ready to walk out and not order. We will NEVER order from this place again all because of their front counter person taking our order and treating us like we were idiots. I wouldnt even rate this 1 star. It doesnt deserve it. I dont know how a person can live with themselves treating a customer like they dont know what they are doing. Will never recommend this place. YUCK

We got a menu in the mail so we thought wed order in me try something different .. First when we called they kept putting us on hold in the middle of our order .. At least 4 times and kept making us repeat our order to them. Our expected wait time was 50 mins we ordered our food at 6:27pm 50 mins goes by and we have yet to receive our order so we give them a call around 7:32pm and the guy says oh the food already left 10 mins ago and he puts us on hold again and begins to have a conversation in his language to someone else we would have just made our own dinner if we would have known how unprofessional this place is and have to wait forever to get our food I wouldnt even rate them one star if I didnt have to our food finally got here at 7:55pm our soup was spilled all inside our bag they didnt want to do anything to refund us back .. Never again not to mention they didnt even bring all the food we ordered

By far worst sesame chicken ever! I normally dont write this negative of a review about a place. But Im dead serious it was terrible. I do not know how this place could stay in business. The Wontons have the worst exterior. I mean and could this place really have taken any longer to deliver????!!! hour and a half to get my food. I waited an hour then called to cancel my food. Then they told me I couldnt cancel my food that it was on the way. Then I waited another 30 minutes and he showed up with my credit card receipt and didnt have a pen so I could sign. .... Not that big of a deal...... Only 2 Soy sauce packets I spent 30+ dollars. Cheap place. Just super sad New Peking was closed or every other place was closed. Im never eating Chinese on a Monday ever!!!!!!!! Do not eat here!!!!!!!! Terrible!!!!!

Interested in finding a good, nearby Chinese restaurant, we gave Chinese Gourmet a shot. I ordered for pickup, so I cant comment on the service, other than the food was ready quickly, and the man at the counter was kind. The food, however, was not worth coming back. We ordered the black pepper beef and hot and spicy shrimp. Neither were hot, nor spicy. The sauce in which I found the shrimp was either made from or approximated ketchup, and every component of the beef dish had the same mushy texture. Average prices. Steamed rice and steamed broccoli were as expected. Im not willing to try anything else here.

I grew up in southern California and have spent a lot, tons of time in Chinese shops. This outfit is matchless with regard to quality, consistency, service and value that Ive come across in ~20 years. Im not on Yelp nor consider myself some food mystic. Ive worked in over 15 or so restaurants (Disneyland, James Beard best of Pacific NW, Food & Wine recognized, etc.), so hope that extends value to my review. Unless you live in NY or SF you might find (minor) complaints; otherwise, CG is rock solid and the best in Colorado for your neighborhood Chinese shop. Dan Haydon

I dont get how this place has 4.5 stars. The food was horrible. I ordered the Szechuan Chicken and my friend ordered the Beef and Broccoli and both meats where chewy, greasy and slimy with no flavor and extra oil. My wife ordered the Sesame Shrimp, which was pretty good aside from having way too much breading. This is the only reason I spared them from a 1-Star review. Im not that picky when it comes to Chinese food, but this is easily one of the worst plates Ive had.
