The Tea Garden is overrated in 2009. Some of the dishes are still above average like the sesame chicken and fried rice. Although we have noticed that some of the chicken dishes tend to have strange cuts of dark chicken that have skin on them and are a little too chewy for our tastes. Be careful, recently I got a really bad case of food poisoning from a chicken dish. With the timing of the onset of symptoms, I am 99% certain that something in their food was the cause of it. I am sure that this happens in the best of restaurants from time to time, but when I brought it to the attention of one of the assistant managers, he just tried to deny any possibility that it might be their food. He said that all the food is cooked to order with fresh ingredients. He also said that I was the only customer to ever call the Tea Garden about food poisoning. Over the past 11-12 years my family and I have dined at the Tea Garden fairly regularly and lately the quality there seems to be declining a little bit, in terms of food quality.

The cabbage in the egg roll tasted rotten. Everybody at the table noticed it. They smelled bad too.Tea Garden Management did nothing to try to make it right. When I mentioned it, the waitress said the egg rolls were free. They were not free they were included in the price of the meal! Way overpriced for the quality of the food. Shouldnt be very hard to find a better place to eat Chinese food. Water tasted pretty bad too.

The flavor of the hot and sour soup is very good. Not too salty. I prefer my soup to be more chunky with stringy mushroom or bamboo or pork slices. The chicken and broccoli was tender on the chicken and slightly crunchy on the broccoli. Snow peas and water chestnuts were also very tasty. Unfortunately, there is no brown rice here. There is a vegetable/vegetarian section at the back of the menu.

Talk about efficient! Once seated, there is someone at your table getting beverage orders. The hot tea served is divine. Once you order, you dont wait lengthy periods of time for your food. Especially if you order soup or appetizers. Bam its there. This food is extraordinarily tasty. The restaurant is very clean. Dont mistake this place as a basic Chinese restaurant because it is anything but.

I have traveled all over the US, but Tea Garden is the best best Chinese food I have had here. The staff are friendly, the food is served quickly, and tasted extremely good. I have had many chinese meals where the balance between sweet and spicy is just not there. Tea Garden gets it right for me, and thats rare. I cant fault the food at all.

Good but not great Chinese restaurant. Went with three friends. We all thought the portions were a little small and that the meat/vegetable ratio was a bit skewed toward vegetables with some unexpected ingredients. Everything tasted good, though. Quality egg drop soup. So busy at noon there was a wait to be seated.

The service at my table was good, however the three ladies at the fro t counter are rude, did t take care of customers waiting than on Cell phone with speaker on we can hear the whole conversation, I truly can careless how much they owe with T-mobile which is 175.00 bucks and it was shut off, flipping rude

Ive always wondered what was so great but then the reviews are always by those who only know their food. Every time I give them another chance they bomb but far from a good way. Ive just read 17 recipies for pork chop suey. - perhaps they should read a few also. TERRIBLE!

I have been coming here all my life (literally, apparently my mother ate their szechuan beef during her pregnancy) and I cant get enough. Always such a dependable place for delicious Pu Pu platters, sesame and sweet & sour chicken.

Great neighborhood Chinese restaurant that has been in Arvada forever. Its a great local go to spot for some good Chinese. The staff is nice and I think its family owned. Great place to hit up when youre in Arvada.

I absolutely adored their sesame tofu. Super creamy tofu, crispy exterior and a hint of citrus. And I dont know what theyre called, but it comes with some tiny crispy noodles as well. Egg rolls are yummy, too!

Absolutely terrible: no meat in the meat dishes, burnt noodles, the daughter of the owners didnt know what bok choy was. This is not a traditional restaurant and was a severe letdown.
