With my visit to Colorado, my customary battleground is pizza. Well, when my friend and I walked into this Republica, we didnt understand that there were certain laws in place. We were greeted warmly by a man with a dashing, sheriff mustache, he was quite the gentlemen. He led us over to a table and asked what to drink. I asked for a coke, he looked at me with a look of valid concern and returned that they only serve local brewery. I wiggled my own mustache, troubled by this. He added that the Rocky Mountains have a spring of cola that would suit my desires. Being new to this land, I could only agree with the nod of my head. My friend added that he would like sweet tea, once again, the Sheriff was having none of our games and suggested tea with a hint of mango. Commonality is not their way, for the yuppies would have their way here as this land is clearly theirs. We inspected the menu and found that there was only one page, with an area to build your own pizza. I grabbed my handkerchief and wiped my wet brow, trying to fit in with their culture and understand their ways. I could not build my own pizza, due to peer pressure. I gave in and decided that a Margherita pizza will have to do, while my partner went for the Diavola and added Meatballs for our appetizer. The meatball was gigantic and looked like a baseball, but the taste was more exquisite than my common taste buds could handle, and I briefly fainted. I was awoken by being fanned by the kind waiter with the mustache. The pizza was ready and I had a bite. The taste was far more delicious than what I had expected. My partner shared a piece of the Diavola and once again I was overwhelmed. I shook it off and downed some Rocky Mountain Cola, which left a bitter aftertaste. But, it did not conceal the truth of this place. Four stars for my "bros".

Such a disappointment. We went in to have a nice dinner after a day out with our of town family. We were promptly told that our children were not welcome at the large table we had in the bar. No problem we will gladly sit at a table. We were told by the hostess they cannot seat are party of 10 at a table because they are short staffed. Our children were welcome to sit a table watching the kitchen with their backs to us while we sat at the table. I said that is not a family dinner. I asked if we could have two table: near each other in the restaurant. Told no. General manager comes to me says he cant seat us because then he would have no tables for other large parties arriving. I told him the hostess said they were short staffed. He informed me that was untrue but that they had reservations. I asked if all the tables were reserved. No he said. So why cant we sit at two tables? I will not have tables for other patrons then. What?! We were there now. Then he offered me a drink to make me happier. I informed him I would like to sit with my whole family together that would be nice. No help. The whole time we were there the tables I had suggested remained open. Very rude. The pizza was subpar on top of everything else. I would never go back after the way they treated my family.

We went in last Friday to have a quick bite to eat. They were still on happy hour, so we ordered two appetizers - the Margherita pizza and the almonds. The pizza had sauce, not sliced tomatoes as is customary. It was extremely sauce-heavy, but it was fine. The almonds were very, very chewy so we sent them back and ordered the fried ravioli. The "ravioli" had a wonton crust and the filling inside was completely tasteless. The only good thing was the sauteed mushrooms on the side. It definitely was not ravioli like we were expecting, so we sent that back. The bartender had to call over a manager in order to remove it from our bill. When we requested the removal, the manager gave us a lengthy explanation about where Pizza Republica gets their ingredients from, as if that made a difference. He finally agreed to remove the "ravioli" and almonds from our bill. The atmosphere is nice and the location is convenient, but the food is terrible. We wont be back.

Two of us went to happy hour and ordered olives and almonds. First, it was very strange to have them mixed in the same small bowl. The olives were uncured (rock hard) and in contrast the almonds were mushy and pulpy. We also ordered mushroom ravioli. The ravioli was actually wontons with mushrooms on top, not inside. They were tasteless and like something youd get out of the frozen food case at the grocery store for $.99. Both were turned back after the slightest taste. The waitress informed us we needed to meet with the manager. He came over (very, very young ) and explained that the "ravioli" came from another provider as if that was a good thing. The individual pizza we ate was amateurish and doughy. The house red wine was good but I will not be going back.

I bought a gift card for $25 for $9 and when I went to use it the manager came to the table and told me I couldnt use it because we ordered off the special lunch menu. On top of that, despite the restaurant being empty, it took over 20 minutes to bring out french onion soup that was lukewarm and flavorless. Worst french onion soup I have ever had! Then when I got the charge on my credit card the server had added an extra tip. I bought 2 of the $25 gift cards to try out the restaurant and definitley will not be going back to use either one after my HORRIBLE first experience there. Do not waste your time and money trying out this place.

came here with a group of coworkers. we all ordered a pizza and one meatball to share. The meatball was good but I would say that Ive had a better homemade one. This would be second best on my list. The prices were around what you expect for lunch, I think my pizza was around $10. Food was good, service was good, food arruved really fast, decor confused me a bit. It felt like they were going for a blend of Russian constructivism with the branding but it was Italian food. Definitely worth checking out, good for small groups and lunch with friends. Very large wine menu.

Warm romantic elegant atmosphere. Nice for a couple but seems spacious for large groups. Server mentioned that all food & beverage are authentic products of Italy. Our dinner for two enjoyed Pilsner beer & Lechthaler Pino Noir de Trentino. We shared one order of flat bread w buffalo mozzarella & one Pizza Rustica/added mushrooms-we left full, with nothing leftover to take home. Service was adequate. Actually everything we ordered came so fast that it felt a bit rushed. However if thats the trend there, it would be a great place if youre famished.

Restaurant rude, rude, rude! They were not even 1/3 full. I wanted to sit down and order for myself and my guest who was not there yet as we had tickets to the comedy show and traffic was horrible. They would not allow me to sit by myself or order for myself and my friend. I can understand if they were too busy but they were not. Also with the rude guy up front I will most likely not return. Shame since I work in the area.
