My family vacations in GMF every year and for years it has been my familys tradition to stop at The Pantry on our way out of town on the last day of vacation. I am so incredibly disappointed to say that after today we will not be returning. We waited a full hour and 15 minutes AFTER ordering our food to receive only PART of our meal. Our kids didnt receive their pancake until after everyone else had finished their meals. The restaurant did not seem overly busy. Why it took over an hour to make eggs and pancakes I have no idea. My husband and I split an order of hashbrowns and we each received a very literal TABLESPOON each of hashbrowns. At the end of the 2.5 total hours we spent at the pantry, our bills were quite a shock. My sons 6.99 omelet actually ended up being $12 as the "build your own omelet" charges 6.99 for the eggs alone and 1.49 for EACH additional item including the cheese. Our order of biscuits and gravy was 6.99 but there was 1.49 upcharge for the sausage IN THE GRAVY. I was shocked to be charged additionally for the sausage in the gravy. Really?? Though my family waited well over an hour for food and though the meal didnt even come out in a way that allowed us to eat together, management made absolutely ZERO apologies for the utterly RIDICULOUS service. My family has always enjoyed The Pantry and until now it was a beloved tradition to stop there. The bustling little "mom and pop" feel is no longer. Im so sad to remove this stop from our "must do" list but what a terrible way to end a vacation. RIP to the ORIGINAL Pantry. Sad it has gone so far down hill.

Our family (3 people) went to eat brunch at Pantry Restaurant a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it was not worth the hype. First of all, we were seated right next to the bathroom (I think the only bathroom). The smells were less than pleasant and people hovering above me while waiting in line was distracting. We would have asked to move but it was obvious how busy they were. However, the worst part about our visit was that our food took 40 MINUTES to come. We saw multiple tables around us (who arrived after us) receive their food first. We asked our server multiple times what was going on and while she was nice and apologized, I felt like some of our meal should have been comped. The server did bring us a cinnamon roll on the house, but I would have rather had our food in a more timely manner. I understand its not the servers fault, it seemed as though the kitchen actually lost our order. The busser was actually the nicest person there, apologizing for the delay. Working in the restaurant industry myself in the past it seems as though a manager should have come over to apologize and offer to comp some of the meal. The food was fine, nothing worth waiting 40 minutes for though. Overall, I unfortunately did not have a good experience.

Shockingly rude. Myself and 2 others phoned ahead to go here for lunch at 2.20pm. We were 3 miles away and I asked if we could come for lunch. The lady said last orders are at 2.30pm. I asked if we get there and order before 2:30 that that would be fine. She confirmed and said as long as we get there by 2:30. We arrived at 2:25 and found them trying to sneak out before we got there!!! I heard one lady actually say to another. Oh no, they are here. We were then treated incredibly rudely when I said I had phoned ahead. She said forcibly that she made it clear that we had to be there by 2:30pm. I explained it was not 2:30 yet and she argued it was. I showed her my iPhone showing 2.27pm but more rude response. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

Quaint little mountain restaurant, but they are in serious need of a reevaluation of customer service! ! Was in there 2 months ago for breakfast. Two people. It took an hour and a half to be served COLD food. Frozen, cheap hash browns, the orange juice was so watered down, I did mention it. (They took the charge off my bill). There is NO reason ANYONE should ever wait that long for breakfast. They werent even busy inside. The server never said you will have a l-o-n-g wait time. I could have made our breakfast plus the other 3 families waiting for their food in 30 minutes, and peeled and shredded REAL potatoes. I will not return, unless I am the chef.

We stopped here for lunch after a day in the mountains. We ordered the open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes and the Pantry Omelet. The Omelet was delivered to the table luke-warm, white and brown (shouldnt eggs be yellow?), very thin, and the egg whites were raw. Showed the waitress the raw eggs. She took it and then brought it back 5 minutes later, still luke-warm and the egg white runny. It appeared that the kitchen didnt do anything to it. I dont know how they could put out such unappetizing food. The open face roast beef was ok, but not worth coming back. We regret that we didnt complain to the manager about the horrible omelet.

We were really excited about this place! We were in town for the veterans rally and wanted a relaxing breakfast. The reviews online were good so we came to try it. We were seated quickly and our waitresses took our drink order, water and bloody marys. We got the bloody marys and she took our food order. 45 minutes later, thats all weve seen of her... I went back in to ask for some coffee, was told they would send her out. We waited 10 minutes with nothing. Extremely disappointed in our experience. We wanted to be able to recommend a local spot for everyone we ride with, but unfortunately, we cant recommend The Pantry.

Friends recommended that we stop here for a meal. It was not what we expected but ended up liking the atmosphere because we were the last customers of the day (around 2:30 pm). I think they were supposed to be closed but when they saw us lingering outside, they were very hospitable... The food was ok. My husband tried the bison burger. It could have used some spicing up etc. I had the fish and it was good. I dont think Id go out especially to eat here, but if youre there and need a place to take a break; its a nice homey spot.

Quaint, old school, relaxed, charming, old style, small town, good food. I really like the place. And I only had lunch, a burger with fries. Ill give you the good and not so good. Good. Great location, old building charm, like a diner or ice cream parlor of yesteryear atmosphere. Good waitresses. Outdoor and indoor seating. Nice customers in good moods. Excellent French fries. I got the curly fries. Pretty good burger. It needed a bit more tenderness and juices to be better.

My husband and I ended up coming here after reading reviews on places in the Green Mountain Falls area. We read how people come all the way from Denver! Well let me just say, this place did not disappoint!! Bonus, the day we went (it was a weekend day) they had a singer and a biggest out back in the garden area. It was so much fun! The singer even had a dog with him, which I made sure to give plenty of love to :) great food, perfect atmosphere and awesome music!
