We stopped in for dinner on our way through town. It was pretty empty at 6:45pm and wait staff were doing double duty as greeters/seaters, which made us wonder if they were even open for dinner. My quinoa bowl was fine, but my husbands scallops were not. The 3 scallops themselves were cooked nicely, but the sauce and side dish were mediocre at best. For the price, its reasonable to expect much more. We waited a while for water and for the check... service was a bit slow. Perhaps ski season is different here, and low demand during the off season presents challenges in service and supplies. Perhaps we shouldve looked through the casual menu, as our server offered. Or perhaps we shouldve changed out of our casual clothes before coming. Maybe it is better for lunch.

I really enjoyed the inside decor and ambiance at this restaurant, and I also enjoyed their special Valentines Day dinner. however, i got very ill that night from food poisoning. I certainly hope I was the only one to suffer this. I thought their Valentines Day dinner menu was a bit misleading, not mentioning that the $75 price was not for a couple, but rather per person! Nothing worse than puking up a $100 dinner. Fortunately my husband did not get sick. I had the oysters with the appetizer plate, which he did not, and I ordered Elk steaks for the main entree, and he did not. I am undecided whether i will return to Bistro Colorado....

Hands down my favorite restaurant. My husband and I have eaten there many times when we lived in Denver for 2 years. Now we are visiting from Kansas City and ate there twice today! Lunch and dinner. The benedicts are to die for, the elk burger is the best burger ever, and their salads are outstanding. They take ordinary dishes and make them extraordinary. Even the bread and butter with dinner was superb! Melted butter and roasted garlic for dipping. Go out of your way to eat here.

The food is not worth the price. Awful smoked salmon. I asked for a turkey sandwich instead, equally terrible. And they left my salmon on the check, plus they automatically add in 20% gratuity on all checks. I always leave a tip but if I remember correctly, tip is optional. If you want to make more for the servers, have better food and charge a little more. Too bad too, as it had a lot of potential, great outdoors patio in a quiet area.

Very delectable, thoughtfully arranged meal. The spices and flavors are all outstanding. The menu is wide with variety. Stellar wine list as well. All this for a very attractive price point makes the drive up from denver well worth it. Also a great place to stop off i70 on the way back from skiing. Enjoyed a great night here with another couple and would certainly recommend the food and wine to anyone with taste buds.

Amazing! This is such a classy little place. I really enjoy the ambiance here. And today, the owner, Travis, was our server. Thats pride in ownership and caring about your establishment. I had the BLAT Benedict (on a bed of spinach instead of bread and this was the best hollandaise sauce Ive ever had! The bacon, the fresh avocado, the potatoes cooked just right, the little side salad... Seriously wonderful.

My husband and I have a thing for breakfast. Huckleberry in Louisville was our favorite place but we moved to Black Hawk, and needed a new wonderful breakfast place. I am happy to say, we found it! From the spiced Belgium waffles to the eggs Benedict to the perfectly seasoned, crunchy yet soft hash browns, the food is exquisite! They make their ham in house and it deserves its own special mention.

The elk burger was tasty even though they came out almost raw and had to be sent back to be cooked more. We werent thrilled that their food truck was in the parking lot blocking any view from the patio. The truck itself was dirty and we noticed cooking equipment out behind the kitchen. Seemed unsanitary. Waitress was pleasant and helpful.

Flavorful, healthful meal (with meat), without the egregious price tag. OMWord! We are so glad we chose to eat here. Delish! Clean! Comfortable! Our brunch was outstanding, service was prompt and even humorous, and the music was fitting. We will be back!

Chef Travis prepares many dishes farm to table, fresh, elegant and tasty. My favorite time to gather there is for Sunday Brunch! They do have a happy hour, occasional live music. Delightful atmosphere to meet clients or friends.

Excellent food. Nice layout. Casual, yet functional. In-restaurant dining definitely better than the catering or take-out services.

I like the ambiance and the food was good. The waiter, however was very inattentive and had a gloomy personality.
