Weve been to Rib City a number of times, and its good. They can be very busy and it can be hard to get in, so obviously people like it. Everything weve had at Rib City has been good. Nothing has been great. Everything is relative and everything (to a point) is subjective, and in the restaurant world, BBQ is right up there along side of pizza for relativity and subjectivity. BBQ in general in Denver is fairly mediocre and Rib City measures up well against the local competition. But at the end of the day its just not Texas BBQ. Or KC BBQ. Or Carolina BBQ. Rib City is located far west, but access is good and theres plenty of parking. The dining room is pleasant - motif is "western," not unlike other chain or franchise BBQ outlets. The menu has the traditional assortment of ribs, smoked meats, sandwiches, salads and sides. Not surprisingly, if youre not into meat, Rib City probably isnt the place for you. We havent had dessert at Rib City, but they look and sound good, and Ive heard good reports. Prices are pretty average - 2 meat combo with 2 sides ($13.99), 3 meat combo ($15.99), full rack of baby backs ($15.99). Our service has always been friendly and attentive. At the end of the day, heres how chain/franchise BBQ in Denver shakes down for me. Rib City, Brothers, Bennetts, Famous Daves - theyre all "good" - I like them all well enough. Rib City might be a small amount better than Brothers or Bennetts. I like Famous Daves a little better than all of them. But thats my subjective opinion. I can/do go to all of them and enjoy them, but none of them are the real deal Texas, KC or Carolina BBQ.

Wow, Rib City! What a trip! The travelling time just keeps coming as i make my way to the bathroom several times per hour because of eating at your feed trough.
Service seems excellent as it is being instructed by what feels like something out of a George Orwell novel. When the girl said "Welcome," i though i had walked on to the set of i-robot 2. The glares from the on duty manager on the backs of the greeters could be felt through the kitchen walls.
Word of caution to Rib City- Be weary of what you refer to as meat! If you had told me eating the pulled pork sandwich would have the same consistency of raw squid, i would have eaten at Sushi Den. I would recommend a new way of slow cooking your meat outside of a microwave. I never thought of trying fried okra with ranch dressing; after seeing the concept displayed to me for the very first time by your establishment, i realized why this had never happened in the 25 years of my young life; no one does that and after dipping one piece into the bucket of ranch provided and touching it with my lips, i recoiled and threw it at my dog who also bawked at its awkwardness. Long sentence. That Okra came from Sams Club, i bought the same stuff a month ago. Speaking of cans, the beans came from on also, you may have added your own spices but barely.
I didn't capitalize a single "i" in this comment. And, if you hadn't noticed i would recommend this place be burned to the ground and a statue of myself erected for eliminating this crime to man.

Disgusting. I had a pick up order and when I arrived the lobby was packed. After seating everyone, several servers walked by and just ignored me. Finally someone from the back came and asked had I been helped. She wasnt very friendly. When handed my bag one of the cartons was turned over and it was a sliece of pie that was upside down, she asked if I wanted another one, when I said, umm yes, she seemed put out. When I left I said have a good weekend and no one even responded. Wow. When I got home the baked beans were running and looked black. The ribs looked burnt too, it wasnt appetizing at all, but I was famished. The ribs didnt taste bad, but they werent good either. The coleslaw was good. I paid $40 for some burnt barbecue, running disgusting beans and mediocre coleslaw. Very disappointed. I wont be back. I visited 8/16/2015.

We went here July 2013 after a visit to a spice shop and suddenly craving bar-b-que. We are so glad our GPS led us here. This is a great restaurant. They have the right balance of everything. I ordered sweet tea and it was made the correct way! The food was rubbed with just the right spices that kept us inhaling our food. (I think it brought a tear to my eye when i had to wash my hands later). This is classic southern appeal in Arvada Colorado of all places?! Our waitress was memorable, the food was excellent (I ate my leftovers cold the next day), and the environment was just right. Great decor that wasnt Red Robin gaudy, but enough to keep us amused while waiting for our food. We will go here more often!

Amazing food swerved here! Nothing like the perfect reminder of moms homemade #Barbecued meals with a touch of love. "RIB CITY Restaurant" on 64th Ave & Indiana has put my raging taste-buds back in place with flavor. The food was nothing less than exceptional. Our waitress Katie P was super efficient, genuine, had a great smile, and just all around Awesome! everyone was super inviting and it really felt like home again. My Wife and I just moved to #Colorado from #California, Los Angeles, and I must admit, weve only #RIBCITY has captured our attention. We look forward to going back soon! Thank you so much for the amazing experience, it was well worth the drive! -Louie M (X-2)

This place is very good. I have been coming here for 7 years. The decor may or may not appeal to everyone. The food will. It is hard to believe that this is a franchise, or a chain. They have 10 or so locations in USA. The consistency of the food indicates that the owner or manager is also very good. The 2 little things that bother me are: 1) the sauce comes from Florida and the to-go packets spray out at this elevation and mess up my shirts, boo hoo and 2) the prices are kinda high. But I suppose I would rather pay and let them remain solvent. If the prices were lower I would eat there more frequently. I recommend, eat in or take out.

Ordered a take out, which was ready relatively quickly considering the amount of business going through the the door. I can appreciate the meat being smoky and tender. The barbecue sauce was also pretty tasty. What I cant appreciate is the canned green beans with butter being called "southern green beans" and the coleslaw tasted very similar to a package I have sampled from the store. I could also just have a picky palate. The only other thing I cant appreciate about my experience was the lack of hot links, collard greens, or cornbread to go with my BBQ :) not knocking, just expressing...

Best restaurant burger in town. Their burger has a good sized patty, I always order it medium and the chef grills it just right. Juicy, not greasy, with fresh fixings and a quality bun. Ive had Rib Citys burgers a lot, probably at least once a month for the last 2-3 years, and theyve delivered a great burger time after time. I even felt compelled to go into the kitchen and seek out the burger chef to compliment him for the consistent quality. I have also had several other things off the menu, and I havent been disappointed by them, but the burgers are really great.
