Step into an Alaskan oasis...thats what we did when we came to eat at "The 49th" The bar is busy and the line to get a table is growing by the second. Opted to sit outside on their back deck as it had been our first day in town, and having spent 5 hours in the car...need I say more. Over look the lush greenery in the back, sip a cocktail under the umbrellas, and relax. This restaurant sets the pace for a gastropub, offering burgers, sandwiches, salads, and wraps of sorts. I enjoyed the classic BLT perfectly cooked bacon, crisp fresh lettuce, tomatoes (on the side LoL), and added avocado because hell yeah AVOCADO! Even though they forgot the avocado I mentioned it to our very sweet waitress and she was happy to get it for me and take it off the bill. Exceptional customer service! We also ordered some of their house made potato chips which were crisp and seasoned accurately! The cocktails were strong and since it was happy hour the price unbeatable. By the time we finished our meals the inside was now a packed house and the back porch thriving with groups and daters! If you are ever in their neck of the woods I recommend coming and checking it out for the food, service, and trendiness of it all!! Well done!!

Came here for my birthday dinner to try something new as Id seen good reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed! The place was packed when we got there on a Wednesday evening, which is usually a good sign. We had a party of 6, and they were very accommodating and friendly. Delicious salmon, fish cakes, elk meatloaf, fries, and chicken club! Everything was very well made and fresh with large portions. The atmosphere is so cozy with the log cabin siding and a fireplace - you feel like youre in a lodge in the mountains, not a little strip mall off Kipling! There was so much on the menu I wanted to try, so Ill definitely be back so I can order something else.

This bar is a hidden gem. It sits in the middle of a normal strip mall, yet when you walk inside youre transported to a log cabin in the wilderness. Theyve got plenty of televisions to watch a game, and the staff is always friendly. The owners are almost always on hand greeting guests and serving drinks and food themselves. The food is good and specials are always changing keeping options current. Theyve also got something I hadnt seen before, a "Pay it forward" board where guests can gift each other drinks for a future visit. If you are looking to dine and feel like youre a regular on your first visit, this is the place.

Cold beer and great food! I just moved here to Denver n stopped in because of the reviews. Not disappointed at all. There was 4 of us that stopped in and we were all very happy. Crispy fried n juicy burgers all around. If youre looking for a great place to eat, stop looking n just go here. Update: Was back there several weeks ago and the lady n I had a couple burgers. Cooked PERFECTLY. Seriously, i had to tell the waitress to go back in the kitchen and tell them that it was awesome. Staff is friendly every time I have been here. Awesome local spot. They just keep me coming back!

Located in a small unassuming strip mall right smack in the middle of suburbia is this delightful gem! A place I feel just as good about going without makeup to chill w a beer, or taking out of town guests to or meeting up w friends for dinner. Lots of regulars here but the people are welcoming and the place is downright cozy. The menu is pretty small but you cant go wrong with ordering the special or their elk meatloaf and burger = amazing! Its kind of like hanging out at your best friends parents house, if your best friends parents were also amazing cooks and bartenders.

We came in on a Friday night and it was packed. We stood around trying to figure out where the hostess might. or how the seating worked. Finally asked another customer and they told us you write your name on a chalkboard by the door then they call you. Little confusing at first. The place has s fun theme like a log cabin. Staff was great and the good was really good. I hat a rabbit sausage sandwich with home made baked beans and Brussel sprouts with bacon. Good beer selection served very cold the way I prefer. We will be back!

Excellent food and great service. Most times we have come we have had to wait a little bit. One occasion I took an older adult who needed a regular seat as opposed to a tall pub table and stool. They had the room and were very accommodating and welcoming. I gave three stars because they have ZERO changing stations in the bathroom so we can no longer visit a place that we liked because its not very family friendly.

This place has quickly become my familys favorite go-to spot for brunch, lunch, and dinners. Birthdays, celebratory meals, you name it! The place is crazy casual and laid back but the dishes taste like something youd get somewhere fancy. They flavors all seem to have a unique spin. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

My dishes have been wonderful each time Ive come here. I have only had one burger that wasnt cooked as I had asked. There is a reason this restaurant is frequently busy: its good. The food is good and the service is nice. They try to visit your table frequently without being annoying. They handle being very busy pretty well.

i discovered this place by accident. from the outside it looked like it might be a dive, but inside, everything changes. the 49th is an Alaska themed restaurant that delivers on the promise. bacon, burgets, beer, and a rustic warmth make this an inviting place. the food is good, the portions generous and the staff friendly.

We ended up here because so many places close for lunch at 2 or 3 and we were starving and didnt want to drive far. This place is a hidden gem! The food was heavenly. All of the burgers are to die for. Our server was friendly and helpful. So glad we stumbled upon this place and we will definitely be back for more.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere, amazing place. Best burgers in the area and amazing owners who are always there and seem to know everyone! The only downside to this place is the limited seating, so if you get there during peak hours be ready to wait for a seat. But once youre seated the place is wonderful.

Great restaurant tucked away in a sketchy shopping center. Please dont let the little shopping center around this restaurant scare you away. This place has great food and a decent selection of beer. The owners are from Alaska, theyve done a great job at making the place have a very homey log cabin feel.

Friendly and attentive staff, casual seat yourself environment, and great food! Weekly inovative special menu items. The only downside is its hard to get a table during dinner hours because its so good. There is no wait staff so dont forget to write your name on the wait list on the chalk board.

I like this place! The food, service and Beer are great... I would come here all the time if it didnt smell like urinal cakes and poop constantly. Would easily change from three stars to five if they fixed the bathroom issue! Post #2 fixed the smell this place Rocks!
