20 year customer. This was BY FAR my worst experience at Sweet Tomatoes. hadnt been there in probably 6 months. As I arrived I noticed that the parking lot was emptier than it has ever been. Have not been to any other locations, so I cant compare this location to others, but CLEARLY either corporate has destroyed this chain, or an incompetent manager has destroyed this location. I GUARANTEE that "patron visits" have declined substantially. 11:45 lunch - my arm stuck to the table - which means that it had not been wiped down since AT LEAST dinner the day before. Soup - elderly gentleman next to me was VERY unhappy that the chili was MUCH worse than usual, and I was unhappy with the "chunky" chicken noodle - which contained no chicken. Muffin selection : worst I have ever experienced at ST. Employees - unhappy and clearly each doing the job of two people because multiple employees had not shown up (no doubt due to an very bad manager, or poor corporate policies) Used to be a good place. Not any more. Prices keep going up, quality has substantially declined.

Ive been going to Sweet Tomatoes since they opened, usually this location. Its a great place for kids and grandkids who, with supervision, can help themselves (theres always mac n cheese!). Take a tray and plate(s) and make your way down the lengthy salad bar, paying at the end where you get a cup for beverages and utensils, napkins are on the table. Salad bar has Caesar salad and other prepared and self-prepared salads with many additions available. Find a table then help yourself to 6 hot soups, a few different muffins and cornbread, baked potatoes with usual accompaniments, 3 hot pasta side dishes, fountain drinks, lemonade, strawberry lemonade, iced tea, hot coffee and tea, puddings and fruit, frozen yogurt in mini-cone or dish - all items are self-serve. Ample seating in dining rooms. Joining Club Veg gets you emailed coupons for discounted lunches and dinners. Senior discounts are available without coupons and theres early dinner savings before 5pm. Sunday brunch was discontinued.

Ive been going to Sweet Tomatoes since they opened so I obviously like it. I usually go to the Aurora location (between Iliff & Mississippi on Abilene), but have been to the south and west locations as well. Food is fresh and of consistently good quality. Menu items (many) and soups (6-8) change at least a couple of times a month, so theres always something for everyone. My grandsons like selecting their own dinner items; theyre picky eaters but can always find items for a healthy meal. I have dinner here at least a 2 or more times each month. They now serve breakfast - on Sundays only - and there are plenty of choices then too. Great place for a leisurely meal; fairly quiet and relaxed so I like going with friends to sit and chat while enjoying a meal.

I usually go to the Sweet Tomatoes in DTC, however, I happened to be in the area of this one. Similar to the other one, it was fresh, well maintained, and the staff was friendly. I had three bowls of soup and they were lacking flavor, so I had to add my choice ingredients to fix them up. One thing that was extremely cool is the waitress was walking around the restaurant handing out coupons for future use. Needless to say I held on to it and will be using it soon. I thought this was a great way to show they appreciate their customers and they want you to come back. Just as a side note, I rarely eat at Sweet Tomatoes unless I have a coupon. This action itself took my experience from 3.5 Stars to 4.0.

Im not going to lie. I was absolutely dreading having to eat here. I have eaten at the sweet tomatoes down by park meadows and it was equally as awful each time. However, I was so pleasantly surprised not only by the service, but the quality and selection at this location. The salad bar didnt taste like it had been sitting out for days. Crisp and fresh! Everything else was great too. The mac and cheese, breads, baked potatoes, alfredo, frozen yogurt, and carrot cake. My only complaint would be that the chicken noodle soup was pretty bland. Just chicken, noodles, and watery broth. Other than that, this place was pretty affordable and well worth what I paid. Keep up the good work you guys!!

Needs a remodel. If its busy, everyone is crawling over each other to get food and there is no seating for groups. Today all the food was gone! Dessert was out and wasnt refilled the entire time we were there. Breads out. No muffins, no brownies, no cheesy bread. They just couldnt keep up. Bowls and straws and spoons and forks, all empty. We had to go to the other end of the restaurant to get a spoon and a bowl and all the way back to get the food while crawling over patrons and employees. Carpet is nasty from years of spilled food. Tables and counters littered with spilled food and not wiped down. Employees are trying hard but this sweet tomatoes is a miss.

This location is significantly better than the one in park meadows. I had been told the same by a friend, but had only been to this one. I finally had toluene opportunity to eat at the park meadows restaurant, I must say it was disgusting. I could tell the food had sat out for quite some time, the lettuce was soggy and the ingredients were going bad. The management at the aurora location however has their staff and product so finely in line, I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a healthy, yet splendid meal! This review is based on mine and my wifes experience. We both have a degree in culinary arts as well. ++to Aurora Sweet Tomatoes

Food is pretty good although the atmosphere is confusing and all the dishes seem to be dirty and not washed thoroughly. Some of the workers were handling food withought gloves on and or hairnets making it unsanitary. It is very busy at lunch time and service is bad and unfriendly. Plus the booths can only hold 4 people. Making a group of five almost impossible to eat together. Restrooms are basic and relatively well maintained. Ice cream machine was an interesting addition and all of the glass seems to make the food hard to reach.

Everything was fresh, the staff were attentive and friendly, and everything is stocked and cleaned like it just opened for the day, even on a slow Monday night. Ive been back again in the same week when it was busy and it was still awesome at full capacity. What sold me (5-stars) was when they started cleaning up for the night and they actually break down the booth seats and move the booth tables to get all the corners and edges that a simple wipe down or vacuum wont get. I wish other restaurants had staff like that!

A great manager makes for a great experience. Food was excellent, service equally excellent, but it starts at the top. We were a group of 5 seniors, 3 of the group in their 80s and two with walkers. Eric, the manager, was most helpful bringing out fresh lettuce while we were going through the salad bar, and then getting us to our table, helping with our coffee, desserts and trays. Its difficult getting out, but it was well worth the effort going to a restaurant with such excellent food and service.

Healthy foods is the idea here but eating too much probably isnt healthy. Thats my only problem with this place, but its not their problem, its mine. Expansive salad bar, big soup bar, mac n cheese is always there, baked potato is always there. Plenty of artisan baked goods. Kid and even toddler friendly. Sunday brunches are amazing. Just dont get carried away with the "all you can eat" , eat all you need to eat. Recommended.
