Food: 4 Stars Drinks: 3 Stars Service: 2 Stars Took 15 minutes to be told hello. It was busy, but I dont know why only two people were working outside of the kitchen. It would do wonders for the bar tender to just look up and say, "Hi." So after waiting well over 15 minutes, we were finally acknowledged. The gentleman apologized and explained they were short staff and that more employees were about to arrive. Not a problem, he brought us chips and salsa and took our drink order. The drinks were ok. They definitely were weaker than the ones at Pinche Taqueria, which I consider the gold standard for gourmet street tacos. So when the two additional employees showed up, I expected better service. This is when I started getting frustrated. They were busy, but busy doing what, I am unsure. It took forever to get the food. When it arrived, the tacos were 4 stars. They were the best you can expect without going to Denver. We ate quickly because we had been waiting so long to eat. So we asked for sopapillas as desert, it was 25 minutes when we just asked for the check. I thought I saw them 15 minutes earlier, but those went to the bar. I just cant figure out why 2 people were working the bar, when the tables were full. It shouldnt take 2 bar tenders to make drinks for 9 people and whatever is coming from the tables. Especially when the tables had many more customers than the bar did. Again, the servers were busy, doing what I dont know. My table wasnt the only ones frustrated by the service. So asking for the check, got them in gear. They brought it to us and we gave them our card. We asked for the sopapillas to be removed. The server looked up and said, "Oh, they are ready now." I was irked, so I just said, "We dont want them now, its been 30 minutes since we ordered them." She was polite and took it off, she also took off a drink and boxed the sopapillas. She apologized and explained that they were short staff. I politely accepted it and pointed out that getting one person out from the bar would improve service and that I see both of the servers running around, but I cant figure out doing what. Its a small restaurant and a quarter of the tables just have water still. I ultimately gave 2 stars for service, because she handled the situation well when we were unhappy. For that, I left her a 10% tip. Should you go? Yes, but skip it on weekend evenings. It is too small and it would be hard to get a table. Its fine if you can get a table or just want drinks. Over all 3 Stars, mostly because of the food and the server handling the situation well when she could have copped an attitude.

I was actually excited about this restaurant and I was let down. Here is my honest review. Very friendly staff. Very poor taste and expensive tacos and food. Almost $5.00 a taco. We got 4 all together. 2 shrimp and 2 fish. Thats almost $20.00 for 4 tiny tacos that severely lacked flavor and were extremely small. Im shocked by how well they were plated. I expected them to taste a hell of a lot better. I make better tasting black bean tacos at home and that only takes me minutes. My wife got the Cadillac margarita. $10.00 for a margarita that came out in a whiskey glass. Seriously? If the food wasnt bad enough.. To top that off the margarita tasted horrible. My wife didnt even want it. I got the Mexican Mule. It tastes like I paid $8.00 for just ginger ale. We ordered the queso and chips which was sadly the only thing that tasted somewhat okay. It came out to us in a small salsa dish that should not cost $7.00. For desert we got the very small sopapillas. There was 4. Two of these would equal 1 traditional sopapilla. That was another $5.00 down the drain. I thought this was going to turn into one of our favorite restaurants but I was mistaken. All together we got 2 drinks, 2 Pacifico Beers, 4 tacos, cheese dip, and sopapillas. That cost us $69.00. For that much we could have went to a high end restaurant. Alfonos on 8th street has more flavorful traditional tacos and their tacos are bigger. Oh and they only cost like $1.50. Thats pretty bad. We will not be returning to T Byrds Tacos and Tequila Bar.

What.The.Actual... Ok, lets get the good out of the way. The staff, they were very nice and pleasant. The chips and queso, it was fine as well. It was approximately 72 degrees outside and about 8PM when we arrived. The inside felt like Denarius dragons were breathing on you. Im a slender person, and I was sweating. My wife, she was feeling the "burn" as well, but neither of us were working out. Eventually they turned turned a fan on...so the hot air could move around. It was loud, very, very, very loud. The music was cranked, which required many of the patrons to shout while speaking. Multiple times I had to ask the waitress to repeat herself. Its not a Lamb of God concert, turn it down. Last but not least, the food. What in holy hell. I ordered a pulled pork, pulled chicken and the fried chicken taco. My wife ordered the barbacoa, fried avocado. Do you believe in seasoning? If you do, then this is not the place for you. The pulled pork, chicken and barbacoa were all on par with recycled shoes. The fried items were ok, but its fried, one cant possibly mess that one up. If your taste buds were destroyed in a freak accident or you lost your sense of smell, this place would work for a Tinder date you dont want to ever see again...ever.

Unfortunately I have to give this place a one star, I really would give it no stars if it was an option for tonights experience. The staff starts off with telling our party you wont get a table but we can "stand there" luckily other patrons seated a table large enough overheard and were kind enough to let is sit down since they were wrapping up. The first thing the server tells our table is that they dont split checks which we later saw was not true as they split checks for other tables, we literally had to sit there and add up our charges to determine who needed to pay for what. The food portions for what they charge are entirely way too small, almost $5 dollars for a 3 inch taco. Some of the tacos we received were cold and one in our group received a shrimp taco that was not cooked properly, one of the shrimp was raw in the middle, luckily he noticed it and did not eat it. Tbyrds lost 10 customers tonight due to bad/rude service, small portions/high prices, and overall a horrible experience. Its really sad, I had high hopes for this place. Everyone was in agreement that no one would be returning.

I have no idea what the last guy was talking about... And I feel the need to stand up for my new favorite Springs restaurant! There isnt a single taco on there menu that costs $5, the two tacos he is talking about cost $4.50 and they were shrimp and fish (the most expensive meat on the menu)!! I eat both those tacos weekly now and I have to say that I love both of them!! I dont personally feel that $4.50 for a shrimp or fish taco of this quality is a rip off, rather I feel it is a pretty solid deal. The rest of their tacos cost around 3.50 or so (Try the pork belly and avocados tacos, they are also awesome). There are several of these "taco shops" in Denver and I think T-Byrds beats them all. Ive been to Alfonsos on 8th, and I am here to tell you that this is not even close to the same quality, T-Byrds is substantially better!! Anyways, I love the place and will continue to return. PS... their brunch is off the chain too!
